Middlesbro game is 20th of this month and that is the next Chelsea game. Ten Cate is coming soon and he has time to get to know the players. Almost everyone is out of town with their national squads but they are usually 2-3day trips.

With Ballack back in training soon we have pretty much everyone healthy.

How should Avram and Chelsea use this time in your opinion?

In my opinion we should train cornerkicks and freekicks. We need a few patterns in both to start scoring from them. At the moment we are crap in that department. We can't count on Lamps every time.

J.Cole and F.Malouda should stay at the training ground few extra hours to train these. You don't come good with general training.

Freekicks and Corners are in a rather small part of the game if the game doesn't work in general, but our game apart from scoring is working okay.

We are playing well between the boxes, but not especially well inside them. Defence is okay, but attack is hopeless inside the box apart from Drogs of course.

A lot of the players will be away for longer than that as it is back to back international games.

However in general I would agree that we need to work on set pieces a lot, not just attacking ones but also defending them as we have looked vulnerable from them on too many occasions this season.

and to think a season or so ago, we were so lethal with our attacking ones, and solid as a rock defending them. What happened?

JT has lost his scoring boots (head) in a big way, that's for sure.....

I think the break has come at a good time for us,

on the back of a couple of decent results and with Cate coming in maybe it could help.

I thought the corners were a bit better against Valencia but defensively still bad, mind you now Lamps is back perhaps he should practice them if he is going to be taking any,

as Evissy says though Malouda and Joe might be better bets maybe Frank will pick up a few clearances that way.

it got predictable quickly- lamps swings them towards terry every time. easy to defend, especially as lamp's free kicks got worse.

really, with JT, ballack and drogba there we have 3 of the very best attackers of crosses in the world, so it's criminal not to take advantage of that.

exactly, we should be a force on the set peice...don't forget Alex as well

well Terry can't score if the ball doesn't get over the first players head.

word to the wise: don't let Sheva take a free kick or corner kick
