Posted November 26, 200717 yr As some of you know I do love a sing song but I've had a request from Glory55 if anyone can fill in the blanks & remember these missing words Or was it just one of those "At the spare of the moment" tunes? We hate Andy Pandy We hate Bill & Ben We'll fight Ken Dodd & the diddymen *Blah blah blah* (Missing bit) & All other toys We are the Chelsea bootboys ------------ I put this up in another forum I use & had only one reply that thinks it might be something about The Wooden Tops?
November 26, 200717 yr I have heard Orient fans singing a version that goes something like this We hate Andy Pandy, And we hate Bill and Ben, We hate Ken Dodd and the diddymen, We're going to the playschool to smash up the toys, Coz we are the Orient boot boys!!
November 26, 200717 yr Brings back a few memories (unfortunately, most of 'em are impaired due to immense quantities of alcohol being consumed during the 70's) I seem to remember it going something like this...... We hate Andy Pandy We hate Bill & Ben We'll fight Ken Dodd & the diddymen We hate Loopy Lou and the rest of her crew We are the Chelsea bootboys I could well be wrong though - Newcastle Brown & Bells whisky have a lot to answer for! I know 'bootboys' doesn't rhyme, but a few of the songs of the time didn't, like... Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly Have you heard of the North Bank Highbury Shanks said no, I don't think so But I've heard of the Chelsea Shed Boys Mind you, there were a lot of different versions of that one going around too - instead of Chelsea Shed Boys, some would sing 'Chelsea Boot Boys', 'Chelsea Aggro', 'Chelsea North Stand', or 'North Stand Boot Boys' No wonder I turned to drink
November 26, 200717 yr Sorry...that was the first thing that popped into my mind when I read the title of this thread. Carry on!
November 26, 200717 yr Coz we are the Orient boot boys!! Orient boot boys! Yeah yeh, you can talk the talk from the safety of your living room but I bet you weren't so hard when these boys were in town.

Yeah yeh, you can talk the talk from the safety of your living room but I bet you weren't so hard when these boys were in town. Actually, there was always fun and games when we played at Orient - West Ham always turned up, just to be sociable. Ah, the good old days.....

November 27, 200717 yr Youre right - that last line should be changed to be like the 3 above Maybe I'm getting old (ok ok - there's no maybe about it) but I can only ever remember singing "We are the whoever haters" as the last line! what is the tune to this little ditty? Oh we Hate Tottenh*m and we hate Tottenh*m We Hate Tottenh*m and we hate Tottenh*m We Hate Tottenh*m and we hate Tottenh*m We are the Tottenh*m haters! Talk about deep and complex lyrics And there in a nutshell is the difference between older supporters who stood on the terraces week after week chanting "We hate whoever" and meant it with a passion, and newer supporters who will in all probability never have that opportunity.
November 28, 200717 yr Really it goes to that song Lofty? I don't really remember that song having much of a tune, more of a chant, but then Andy Pandy one seems like it wouldn't fit? It just might be the way I am reading it, but I thought the we hate tottenham song was pretty much all in teh same key, and as I said, more of a chant as opposed to a sing song!
November 28, 200717 yr Try it like this, singing only the black lines or only the blue lines: We hate Andy Pandy We hate Tottenh*m and We hate Bill & Ben We hate Tottenh*m We'll fight Ken Dodd & the diddymen we hate Tottenh*m and we hate Tottenh*m We hate Loopy Lou and the rest of her crew We hate Tottenh*m and we hate Tottenh*m We are the Chelsea bootboys We are the Tottenh*m haters!
