The Brit
twice they celebrated as if united were in trouble to give everyone in the ground false hope...i'm amazed they made it out alive...i wasn't happy
glory55
Yeah who the f**k started that?? I'm so annoyed about that, what sort of a twat would do that. The second time it happened we didn't celebrate cos we wanted to hear the news for ourselves.
g3.7
yeah the worst was about 20 mins into the first half. bah.
blizeH
I imagine it happened when: a. Rio beat the ball away with his hand inside the box (commentators probably said it was a garan penalty) b. Scholes shoulder barged someone on the half way line (commentators probably said it was a garan sending off)
Tim
Yeah that f**ked me off no end. I went mental when the ripple went around the ground, and then had people on all sides saying Man U were one nil down, only to find out 2 mins later they were actually one nil up. Muppets. coombsie
I was in the Shed Upper behind a guy called something like "news update" because he always keeps us informed of everything going on elsewhere. He said straight away that the news was "bollo**s !!! It seemed to be starting either in the West Stand middle (where they have TV's in the box) or in the corner between WSM and the Shed upper We were totally pi**ed off too. ethicalstrategy
It definitely started in the shed upper. Out of the blue there was a muttering and then a load of people were up out of their seats and that just rippled around the ground. I didn't hear the actual score until near to half time. Nibs
To be honest it was never gonna take much. Just one "comedian" ( ) to mention Wigan have scored and everyone gets excited. If it wasn't us involved, it would be kinda funny.
Alan
I was sat in the West Lower and heard it twice from the Shed Upper. Why would they start something like that?!
mikey2004
When the buzz started going round the ground, it seemed to feed straight to the players, and they started going at Bolton, and Drogba missed a great opportunity almost straight away.
Barn
To be fair though, it could just have been someone listening to a radio that said "yes. Scholes is off........oh sh*t the ref's bottled it." By the time siad person states that the ref's bottled it the "yes!" is already half way round the ground and no-one passes on the second part of the comment with the same conviction. I've got no doubt that it was innocent, though anyone that's listening to a radio when they should be chearing on my team desreves a slap anyway! mike_smith
There was a rumer that went round the away end at WHL that Emile Heskey scored for Wigan. The whole of our end celebrated for a good minute until we realised
MannyJello
watching the match on television, there were a few moments when a sound was coming from crowds unlike anything i have heard before at the Bridge. i was sure that Wigan had scored, but the commentators didn't say a thing. i thought maybe there was a delay? or they were reserving the news? it certainly carried over on tv. Barn
Mike_Smith, wasn't that chear followed by the only good thing the spuds have ever done - they responded with "that's why you're on the dole......that's why you're on the dole......."
