coco
I thought we could all pick the 11 for our first league game in August. Pretend its away to Manure. Use the rumours that are banding around, or your own tuition. Only 3 new signings (not including Boswinga as new signing). Dont forget we need a manager to, so pick a first team, with 7 subs and a manager. Dont criticise each others teams, just pick your own. Manager: Frank Rijkaard Formation: 4-4-2 ------------------Cech------------------ Boswinga-----Alex------Terry------A.Cole --------Ballack----Essien----Lampard----- ------------Kaka(£50m+Drogba)---------- --Robinho(£25m+SWP)--Huntelaar(£25m)-- Subs: Carlo, Ivanovic, Belletti, Mikel, J.Cole, Di Santo, Anelka. Your go !............
Guest
I generally prefer not to name new signings simply because i've never seen many of them play so don't pretend to know whether they are or aren't good enough to make it at Chelsea. But given that disclaimer, I will have a go this time... -------------------------------Cech--------------------------------- Fox Dynamo-------------Terry---------Carvalho----------------A.Cole ------------------------Essien---------Ballack----------------------- ------------J.Cole----------Van Der Vaart----------Kaka------------- -----------------------------Huntelaar------------------------------ Bench: Cudicini, Alex, Lampard, Mikel, Anelka, Ivanovich, Kalou Manager: Hiddink Notes: I am assuming Drogba leaves

And, speaking realistically, we are not going to get Kaka. So, swap him for Ribery and I would be happy (as I think we could realistically sign him if we shook up Bayern with a really big bid). Given that AC Milan will have to be content with UEFA Cup football next season and the fact their squad is old and needs investment, i'm more confident than I have been in a long time that if we really did make a serious (and substantial) bid for Kaka we'd be in with a real shot of landing him. PraetorianGuard
True, but I don't think they would let a player of his caliber go just yet. He seems pretty happy regardless of playing in UEFA Cup football.
coco
True, but I don't think they would let a player of his caliber go just yet. I am hoping Kaka has the final say where he goes, and imo at 26yo he needs to leave Milan and go another step further with another club. Afterall 1 Italian league title and 1 CL in 5 years is a little bit baron for supposedley the best player on the planet over the last 3-4 years. I can see Drogba and cash being enough to persuade Milan. Reasons Kaka could sign: Money. Kaka will be the highest earner in football on the planet if he joins Chelsea. He'll be assured of a champions league place with the #1 ranked club in Europe. He'll be competing in the same league as C.Ronaldo, the player who is currently putting him in the shade. He'll be competing on the biggest stage (the EP). The chance to maybe join up with Robinho?
Sheva
Think about it though, do you REALLY think Kaka will be at Chelsea next season? Kaka... This is AC Milan's Golden Boy, they want to win Serie A next season... getting rid of there Golden boy is not the way forward. Kaka looks happy at Milan, i just dont see Kaka, Messi, Ronaldo moving. We need to look for a Star not buy one, get a Star who has the potential to become a player like Kaka is the way forward. We may have all the money in the world, but money aint everything. My starting line up for next season, this is based on Lampard staying. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cech - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cole - - - - - - Terry - - - - - Ric - - - - - - - Bosignwa - - - - - - - - - - - - - Essien - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lampard - - - - - - - Ballack - - - - - - - - Cole - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Quaresma - - - - - - - - - - - - - David Villa - - - - - - - - - - - - Subs : Carlo, Alex, Sheva, Di Santo, Mikel, Belletti, G.Dos Santos I've really not been a fan of Anelka since he's come, but im sure Sheva will be shipped to Milan. If we do play the 4 - 4 - 2, Anelka and Villa would be kinda cool if they both play in position. We lack quality supply from our wingers, i hope Joe Cole gets better next season and we sign the pace and flair of Quaresma to be a thorn in the side of EPL defenders. We need to look be realistic when looking at the transfer market, the only kid i see we may have a chance of signing is Robinho. I would defaintly be pissed with all the Ronaldo talk and talk of him being shipped out in an exchange deal, nice way to be valued at a club. Oh yeah and Lippi for Manager

Sheva
Sheva was ageing and his best years are behind him, they got the best end of the deal no doubt about it. Kaka is still in his prime and has years left of it.
coco
No, you said Milan want to win Serie A next season, but then you said they want Sheva ? Have you been watching the EP this season ?
Sheva
Milan are looking for two strikers, one big name like Drogba, Eto and also someone else. They still have hope in Shevchenko and it's a totally different league. Gila looks set to leave milan so they want someone to step in because Inzaghi is 34/35 i believe, Ronaldo is out and they can't rely on Pato as he's developing. Milan want someone who's proven in Serie A for cheap, who else is better for that position? And i won't be surprised if Sheva bangs in 15+ next season at Milan. EPL and Serie A are 2 totally different leagues.
coco
EPL and Serie A are 2 totally different leagues. If Sheva scores 15 goals next season it will prove the gap between the leagues is getting bigger & bigger. Cue the excuses for why Sheva has failed in England.......... Sheva
There's no excuses why he failed, he's tried but the EPL just sadly doesn't suit his current game. Im sure if we had him in his prime when he had pace he would of banged in 20+ for us. Too late im afraid.. Serie A is alot slower, more tactical than the EPL that's why i think he can bang 15+ in next season. Just look at the Age of the Top scorers in Serie A Alex Del Piero and he's 31/32 aint he? Inzaghi popped in quite alot aswell. Im not saying signing Kaka would be the step in the wrong direction, it would be amazing purchase. AC Milan would be very stupid to get rid of him, however we are gonna be linked with everyone and thier kids this season, don't get excitied by the smallest rumour. All these paper tabloid rumours are pointless wait for 100% true information because your gonna see rumours like " Roman wants Kaka for £40 million + one of his yaughts" in the news and some well most people are gullable to believe it. My posted Kaka in my side under the idea that it was who I wanted rather than who I thought we would get. That said however, if we are ever going to sign Kaka and/or Ronaldinho, now is the time we will do it. Doesn't mean we will, just means that if we don't now, we probably won't ever. I apologise if it was a post about who you would like and i didn't mean to offend people, i thought this post was a look at who you think would be our starting line-up next season realisticly i miss read the post. I just wish we found our own Kaka, Messi, Pato, Ronaldo, Giovinco... the list goes on. The only person in my opinion we have close to that is Kakuta, he just needs to get some experience. And you are correct, now is the time do it if we did go for Ronnie/Kaka.. but i just think Kaka is too much of a unrealstic target until he says he wants to move on. But i could be wrong.... that's why im looking forward to a busy transfer window
JT26CFC
I just can't see Kaka leaving AC Milan and I can't see AC Milan letting go of their best player. He and Pato are a great pair and Pato has a lot to learn from kaka. We have our own youth and i hope they break into the first team one day, not just 10 minutes in the carling cup. Sinclair (other than kakhuta) is a player I see real potential in.
