I really want to believe this, but I feel like a Rooney/Willian in / Mata out swap is something Jose would go for at this point. It would f**king suck to lose the special Juan.

I can't help feeling Jose has a little trick up his sleeve for this game. He will know if he wins it he will silence a lot of critics and give the team a massive boost in confidence for premier league contention. Maybe an aggressive 4-3-3 or something completely different to the first two games to catch Moyes off guard. Obviously a different kettle of fish now that Moyes is manager of United, but Moyes has only ever gotten 1 point off Jose in previous clashes.

I said before that Ba offers nothing outside the box and tonight the only thing he offered was the opportunity for Villa to catch him offside, about 4000 f**king times. If that was Lukaku up top from the start receiving all that service we would of had a proper link up with our striker and someone who can hold a ball up - Ba can't even seem to hold himself up. The sooner we get rid the better - even Eto'o would be a much better option right now. I also feel like Mata is the most useless out of all our AM's when played wide. He simply doesn't have the pace or the strength. He needs to be in the middle where he does what he does best, orchestrate the attacks with killer visionary passes and dangerous runs into the box. Its a real headache for Jose because Oscar is also wasted out wide and is still very good in the No. 10 role, just not as good as Mata in my opinion. Finally, the sooner we get Luiz back the better. Swap Terry or Cahill out every other game, I don't care, I want to see Luiz in our back line every f**king game. Not just because he is our best centre back but also because hes a massive presence on the pitch, a player who can orchestrate play from the back. If were going to have to play the long ball game against teams with a high back line then there is no one in our squad who can do it better than Luiz.

Its a completely different game now. I agree FF14 was a disaster, but I can really see this one taking off so long as they keep releasing new content and can find a decent balance between PvP/PvE. I never played it to be honest. I'm more of an MMO player. Played all the earlier FF's but none of the more recent ones.

If it was a straight swap, even with our extensive midfield options, I think we'd end up losing more on the deal than we'd gain. Mata is exactly the kind of player United need. Rooney is the kind of player that would improve our attacking options but don't really need.

Anyone played any FF14 a realm reborn beta? The first FF14 was a massive flop so they decided to close it and start again (Hence "A realm reborn"). I've played the beta for weeks now (final test was this weekend) and I must say I can't get enough of the game. For anyone looking for a new MMORPG to play this one is definitely worth a go. Its available on PS3 and PC (with both platforms available on the same servers) and only retails at £16 for the PC version, £23 for PS3. The game starts Saturday 24th for those who pre-order (3 days early access).

You fail to mention that he only played 30 games last season, seven of these as a substitute. 16 goals and 13 assists in 30 games for a player who was completely out of position is a fantastic season not an underwhelming season. And you also fail to mention that he only just lost out on the golden boot on multiple occasions and who did he lose out to? Ronaldo, the Drog and RVP who all had 30 plus scoring records for there respective golden boot seasons. I seriously cannot even begin to comprehende how much some people are undervaluing Rooney as a player.

Underwhelming season? The guy was played completely out of position and still got 12 goals in 22 PL games, as well as 10 assists. On top of this he was plagued by injury all season. The season before that he got 27 goals from 32 games. The season before that 11 from 25... and the season before that 26 goals in 32 games. That is four years of incredible statistics. Its really annoying that the guy has one season where he has to play second fiddle to the best striker in the premier league, arguably one of the best in the world, and everyone all of a sudden thinks hes awful. I'm not trying to be a statistic monkey but for god sake the guy has scored 141 goals in 252 games playing for one of the best clubs in the world. If that doesn't make him world class then I don't know what will.

They'd be mad to sell to us. He is a world class striker, exactly what we need. Make no mistake about it folks we'd win the league if Rooney came and sadly Moyes and co. know this.

On another note, Fellaini's release clause has expired. Surely if they were interested they would of made the bid before this. I don't think Manure will get Baines or Fellaini.

I think the 'bad blood' is more between a select few players and Jose, not the staff at Real. Just speculation but it felt like he parted on good terms with the president and him and Carlo have a lot of respect for each other. I would love Khedira but I don't think it will happen. MvG seems to be playing the DM role and one of the conditions of his signing was that he would start most games for us this season. And like you say, we already have Essien and Mikel. If we were to offload one I still think he would get just about as much game time as he would at Real.

I'm not talking about the whole team being sh*t either. I'm just saying that you need your strikers to have a high work rate in todays game. You can't have idle players who don't offer anything outside the box.

It's really hard to call. I just want a consistent season where we don't just f**k it all up again in November. I'd be happy with a top 3 finish and a good run in CL. I think City are our biggest threat but I'm not sure about Pellegrini, he could turn out to be a massive flop. I'm probably biased but I do feel Manure fans are in for a shocker this season, wouldn't be surprised to see them finish outside the top four. Other teams I think will do really well this season - Swansea(top 6), Cardiff (top 10), Tottenham(top 5 - especially if they keep Bale), Liverpool (top 6). Either way we are definitely in for the most exciting premiership we have seen in years.
