How is that relevant? We are comparing last season's Torres to last season's Demba Ba and who brought more to the team last season. We all know how bad 2011/2012 season was for Torres. I am simply stating that in my opinion, the form Torres has coming off the back of last season and the Confederations Cup would make him a better choice striker than Demba Ba.

Since Ba moved to Chelsea he has played 11 EPL games and scored 2 EPL goals for Chelsea. What exactly is your point? We can sit here and argue all day about statistics, but for me Torres still offers a lot more on the pitch than Ba does.

How is it you somehow end up in every single thread, arguing about Torres? Torres will more than likely be at Chelsea next season and will probably even start the season as our first choice striker. I can't see us making any major striker signing and I wouldn't be overly bothered if we didn't. He will more than likely flop and make way for Lukaku, which I think is a good thing anyway.

Whilst I can appreciate a lot of people would not want to leave Stamford Bridge, I think it is important for the future of the club that we secure a bigger ground in order to be able to compete financially with ticket sales etc. At the moment we have the 8th biggest stadium in the premier league but when the stadiums in planning/building are completed Everton, Tottenham, and West Ham will all have bigger stadiums than us, pushing us down to 11th.

David Luiz is a centre back. Its where he plays the majority of his games for Chelsea and its where he's played all of his games for Brazil. Because we needed to play him for a few games in the midfield when our options were short does not make him a midfielder.

They report that Chelsea are reluctant to meet Cavani's release clause, but will table an offer of £40m plus Ramires for the 26-year-old. I cant see it personally.

I wasn't implying that he should tone down his physical side. That's one of my favourite qualities about the man. But there is a difference between being "physical" and grabbing a player by the shirt and hurling them to the floor, giving away a penalty that could of cost Brazil the cup.

I never really rated Neymar before this tournament, but as much as I hate the man, he is in a different class to every Brazillian player on the pitch. Unbelievably talented, looks so dangerous every time he gets the ball.

The BBC commentator was just saying about the italian media all reporting that Cavani to Chelsea is a done deal, "Chelsea is his most likely destination".

Well, the main problem just looking down the list is that we only have 5 players who are home grown and will most likely be in the main squad next season. Cole, Bertrand, Terry, Cahill and Lampard. I don't think Blackman is going to be a reserve goalkeeper, he isn't good enough. Ake will most likely go out on loan. Moses is most likely going to be sold/loaned also. That means we still need to sign 3 "home grown" players to meet 8/25 premier league criteria. I saw an article in The Sun about Jose trying to sign Ruddy. That would be a good start, but I'm not sure Norwich will let him go. Edit: Disregard this post. Seems I completely misunderstand the 'home grown' rule. I was under the assumption that 'home grown' literally referred to an English player, but apparently they just have to be trained by the club? Can someone enlighten me?
