This better not happen. He is the heart and soul of Chelsea at the moment. He screams Chelsea and everyone in the country sees him as the next captain. Would be a massive mistake and I woupd lose some respect for Jose if it did happen.

Luiz being error prone is a bit of a myth and a broken record. He's been by far our best defensive player this season. He is entering his prime. After having to put up with his nonesense in 11/12, it would be silly to sell when we are about to reap the fruits of our labour.

Can't see it happening, I like that they mentioned Varane though, I think he'd be a fantastic acquisition, he's the kind of defender you can really see becoming the next JT/Vidic/Kompany in terms of stature.

We need a clear out defensively or a manager with some defensive prowess based on what I saw this year, at times it was like watching a Sunday pub league and only luck and woeful finishing kept us in games.  Not saying that Luiz should go by any means, perhaps as we have seen at times he can play that defensive midfield role, he is only young, a Brazilian International and has a lot to learn...can't see Jose' if he comes getting rid of him but I can see Cahill getting the boot along with Ivan although Jose might move him out to the right to share the spot with Dave.  Bertrand won't cut it under Jose' so we will be in for a back up for Cole...IMO.

I like the bit about Pepe to Man City for twenty million, as if Pellegrini would be that stupid!  

I think if Jose does come, there could be a potential Joe Cole-Mourinho style situation for the first season.

 

It really does depend on where Luiz would be deployed (DM or CB) - and if Jose sees us playing a more attacking style of football with the current team - rather than the often defensively focused sides he has coached before.

Granted it's the Daily Fail, but could be some truth behind it. 

 

I would be quite heartbroken to be honest. I've grown to love Luiz this season. Incredible player, great person, and gives Chelsea some identity.

I think its bullsh*t to be honest, thus begins the British media attempts to undermine Jose return to West London and I honestly don't think we want to sell a quality player to any team we could potentially face in the CL next season.

Also, on what planet would we sell a player purchased a couple of seasons ago for 21 million pounds, for 25 million pounds? His value has surely appreciated enough to warrant a much higher valuation than that, given the fact that his ability has increased and at 26 years old he still has an upside.

I highly doubt this. For me Luiz has similar qualities to Ricci Carvalho and coached correctly by Mourinho, he could be one of the best cbs around.

The press have no idea how Jose feels about Luiz.

For me Luiz shows fight and passion for the team, what manager would want to get rid of players like that out of their team?

With a lot of the old guard leaving over the next year or two Luiz should be the new leader taking us forward. Im not saying make him captain but im sure he will be one of the leaders on the field and in the dressing room, like Ballack or Drogba was.

Not happening, hes improved a lot defensively since the beginning of the year. The Dm are an anti chelsea newspaper and pretty much do their best to destabilize the club.
