IMHO he is not keeping barfa interested, but the fact that they are desperate to fix a hole in their system. Also it doesn't help the matter w/ their fans screaming World Wide to get Luiz. Barfa sees DL as the perfect replacement to Puyol. Again, Puyol is 35. I am not sure he can go the distance during the season. He will breakdown from time to time.
