Worst thing is that the directors and SD’s genuinely believe that they are building a world class team. They have no idea that we’re so far away.

Based on last few games, I think Resenoir has lost the players now. So many problems but all we know that Resenior isn’t the only problem. I get the strategy of buying young players, I do. The problem is that they have bought average young players. PSG bought elite young players, not average players. They’re expecting manager to work with average players and these coaches are getting nowhere. Plus putting young players with young managers is not a good combination. Put them with an experienced manager.

We’re all ready to give away some soft goals. After Liverpools loss, we should be fired up for the win. But we won’t. We’ll make Everton look like world beaters.

I’m away for the weekend and had planned to find a pub to watch it but I think I’m going to give it a miss. I think the rest of the season is going to be a miserable disappointment

Listening to the Athletic podcast today, they said that Enzo’s statement wasn’t a surprise to them as they heard whispers. Personally I don’t think he’s anything special. He’s a good player but outstanding. He’s also apparently he’s abit of an arrogant billy big boots in the dressing room

As much as I like Resenoir, everything is going downwards under him. We’re worse in defence and attack, the players look unmotivated or not buying into his methods. All I’m seeing is motivational talk, not enough tactics and game management. As others have said, there are bigger problems at the club such as the squad make up but we are definitely worse under Resenoir unfortunately. The SDs have a problem here because he his their chosen one. They know him better than any other Chelsea manager. Fail to qualify for CL and start poorly, he won’t last long.

Academy kids are never appreciated. Josh is more than good enough.

I must admit, I thought LR would be more street wise and more tactically smart given his playing career and also that he’s a smooth talker. His football comes across as completely naive and over philosophical which is exposed easily.

It does sound as if the club/SDs are under big pressure to get CL next season. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit that he’s under pressure.

As far as the weekend results go, we’ve been ok as other sides have dropped points. Almost got away with it but obviously doesn’t excuse the horrendous form and upcoming games

Thing is, from the SD’s perspective, the strategy IS working. Their arguments are likely to be: Progression has been made in the league (8th, 4th place finishes) Club World Cup (£100m) Conference trophy Solid 12-13 good first team players Still getting to cup semi finals and final Incredibly heavy season last season plus summer tournament The intention has never been to win the league right off. It’s about allowing the group to “grow together Now, we know most of that is pure hustle and clutching at straws but that’s the argument they could point to. The truth is, for the amount of money they’re spent, we should be a lot better.
