He reminds me very much of the Yuri Zhirkov signing. A £20m signing, some potential but yet I fear he will never quite make it. Jose seems to like him and defensively hes very good. I haven't seen anything from him yet that makes me think hes a special player. I just hope I'm wrong on him.

Torres always plays better when hes angry. He needs to show more aggression in his play - including when he shoots. I also think Mike Dean knew he made a mistake earlier in the game for the scratch and not sending him off. He compensated for it by giving a soft yellow.

Nice to hear Mata getting some praise from steve holland and feeding back Jose's comments. SeeMs Jose was pleased with his contribution and defending.

I actually went to the Villa v Spurs game tonight (kept a Villa mate company) and I have to say that Villa were really poor. They didnt seem bothered or motivated. Sours looked decent and had a semi decent side out but mainly reserves. Sat game will be completely different,they will be confident and go for it. And your right, Jose will squeeze the life out of the game. It will be really boring.

Torres isnt seeing much playing time this season, definitely second choice. Are we all missing him? Must admit, I kind of am.

It seems a few people are disappointed so far with Jose return. It hasn't quite panned out how you thought. I must admit, I expected Jose to come in and make us look 10 x better and have more of an immediate impact. We have to give it time.

It was interesting hearing Jamie Carragher talk about Chelsea on monday. He was basically saying how everyone is obsessed with Barca and trying to copy them. He was questioning why Chelsea are trying to change their footballing style when it has been so successful over the years. He was very positive about Chelsea saying the old Mourinho team was incredibly difficult to beat and theres nothing wrong with being strong and powerful. Gotta say, kind of agree with him.

Has Jose got something against the Spanish players? Hes not playing Mata, Dave or Torres. Somethings up with that.
