Chelsea vs Bolton Wanderers (LC) 24/09/14 KO: 19:45 BST
I'm not saying Remy should be wrapped up in cotton wool, sitting on the bench incase Costa isn't fit, I know that's not how a second striker works, I'm just saying that Jose might of been more worried for Costas chances for the City game than he let on, he was a 'doubt' afterall (I know he has been for the past 3 games but soon enough he won't be ready to start). Anyway if the worst had happneded and Costa was ruled out for the biggest game of the season Im pretty sure we'd all of wanted Drogba to start against Schakle. If Jose is happy that Costa is 100% fine for the weekend then I want Remy to start the Botlon game. I'd just rather be cautious now, playing Drogba in games we should win anyway, than having to play him in games we wouldn't want to but don't have a choice because Costa is out for 6 weeks with a hamstring. All I'm really saying, is to get Costa fully recovered so he were not talking about him possibly not playing/being fit every week. Bolton: Drogba Villa: Remy Sporting: Remy Arsenal: Costa Then back to Costa starting every PL game.

Haha obviously not! I mean when costa is still reportedly struggling with his hamstring, eg all this week. Imagine Remy played against Schakle, gets a knock, then the next training session costa feels his hamstring, we'd of been going into city with drogba starting. As for Bolton I think we should have enough to beat them even with Drogba playing. As I said bring Remy on at half time if we need to but I'd go for Drogba Wednesday and Remy at the weekend.

Who do we want in January?
Pogba, but isn't gonna happen, I think we will need another cm by then, Matic-Fabregas pairing is great but look very light if either or both get injured/drop in form

Someone made a point (on sky I think) that because Costa is still not 100% and were worried about him, were not risking Remy playing and picking up an injury, imagine Remy being out and Costa still struggling with his hamstring. Wouldn't mind giving Drogba a start again, as long as we're prepared to change it at half time if he's struggling.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Thought the thing we did best today was defend, thought city were right at it all over and our passing was poor, adopting an attacking style today, playing how we did high up the field we would of been so open. Only letting one in from the best attack in the league shows it was a fairly decent strategy, it was important not to lose today given our position so I thought all things considered tactics were decent.

Manchester City v Chelsea (PL) 21/09/14 KO 16:00 BST
Nervous for this one already. Would be great if we came away without losing. Is early days but I like the gap that we have already created and keeping it gives us a bit of a room for error. Only see city finishing above us (if anyone) so is all the more vital we at least get a draw. Just someone tell Matic and more importantly Ivanovic to forget attacking for one game and I reckon well be fine. ...Same back five... ...........Matic........... ....Ramires..Fab..... Willian........Hazard ...........Costa.........

Defensive woes
Matic and fab need to improve together too, agree with uno about his chasing. Matic has been going forward a lot more this season and would help if he can be a lot more disiplined when were leading. Saying that though, I think we're trying to be a team that kills off games with 2 or 3 goals rather hang on to a 1 goal advantage, little bit more clinical last night and the poor defending wouldn't of mattered. Personally I'd rather have it tight at the back but seems although there is a change in the way we play...for thes 100th time.

Chelsea vs Schalke (CL) 17/09/14 KO: 19:45 BST
Why is drogba back? Why was he selected? Pathetic against a team with so many injuries. Result shouldn't matter in terms of topping the group but pissed off.

Welcome Loic Remy
100% agree barak, if he wasn't such a big character he wouldn't be talked about as world class in my opinion.

I think the loan system needs to be improved, is hard to regulate though, would be nice if there was a minimum minute quota per loan deal, but football doesn't work like that. But if they're not playing enough when they go on loan they'll have to drop to an even lower level to get guaranteed game time, will take a long while for them to get to the level they would want to be and I think some teenagers would rather be at chelsea and never play than actually be sold to someone like Burton and work their way back up.

Aka a loan.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Yeah but that's not really going to happen is it, nice idea but I'm sure we'd rather have a player only play youth than let them go for a tiny fee (no one will any decent price for reserve players who are unproven).

I don't see them restricting the amount of players you can loan out, a lot of people don't like it but it will just result in a lot of young talent sitting on the bench at big clubs and never getting a chance anywhere.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15
Remeber seeing Townsend on TV at the darts, sitting in the VIP taking himself seriously, then it cut to Le Tissier in the crowd having a laugh, knocking back a few pints. I know Townsend can't drink but think there's a generation gap with English players that is pretty sad. Maybe it's the forgien influence but the younger ones all seem to think they're something special.

Welcome Loic Remy
I couldn't think of a less Jose type player than Berbatov if I tried.

Perhaps a little harsh, but I've lived with a Man U fan and have watched them every time they've been on (other than when cfc are clashing) just shocked at the hype he's been getting, so I guess I over exaggerated to match the exaggerated hype he's been getting.

Anyone who thinks danny welbeck is a good signing has not watched him enough, he has a poor touch, poor shot and is a poor finisher, he works hard and has pace..that's it, arsenal will have to break down defences with their passing and he won't be able to do that. I couldn't care less about age or potential, we've seen enough players that don't meet any future potential, we see players who develop later and come from almost nowhere and we see enough players who peek young and stay at that level. He is 23 and in the last few years I have seen little to no improvement. United fans I know are so happy they got rid of him for such a high price and spurs fans are delighted they dodged the bullet. He was linked with hull, that says it all for me. Teams don't have time to try to develop strikers, they are the only position that can't be in the team whilst developing, if they are not getting goals the teams are generally not winning. Arsenal will be lucky to get top four if Falcao takes off and they'll be begging teams to take welbeck off their hands.

Yeah have to agree that playing 4-2-3-1 would help in the big games, Toure given a role where the team wouldn't be punished if he's out of position, always have the option to go for two up top when chasing a game or playing a smaller team, like stoke...
-
Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15
Good point, although playing with 2 up top normally requires 4 strikers, Jovetic and Aguero could both be injury concerns at one point or another, perhaps a change of formation if there are only 3? The main thing is to keep Aguero fit anyway, brings so much when he's at 100%.

Hearing rumours of Negredo being allowed to leave with no replacement, surely you lot woudlnt be happy with that?

pThat would be brillaint, sure Jose would have a different opinion though.

Falcao to Chelsea?
IF he can recapture his form from Spain he will be a good signing, but with all these attacking options uniteds defence will be as exposed as Jennifer Lawrence.
-
Chelsea v Swansea (PL) 13/09/14 KO 15:00 BST
If we can get someone running against Taylor well be laughing, looked so poor against united and hasn't been tested since, not bad going forward but another case of a attack minded full back not being able to defend. Game will be a tougher test than it should be after their start but even after internationals we should still have enough.

Falcao to Chelsea?
Out of all the English clubs he is being linked with I hope he goes to Man U, would improve them the least and their upfront really should be the last of their worries.
