Mario Mandzukic
He'd probably take being 5th choice under Jose than 2nd under pep, wants to know what it's like to play under a real manager
-
Willian
I've said on this thread before that the strikers have let his assists down massively, Oscar going off form hasn't helped and no one coming from deep. Those three positions should be sorted by next season and I reckon he'll have a great season with even more stats to back it up

I agree, is a good idea but it does seem to be showing Arsenal as not that big of a club for doing it. Imagine telling them 9 years ago all they'd have is one fa and they'd do a parade for it, they've of laughed at you.

Mario Mandzukic
He has one less goal than all of our strikers combined, definitely an upgrade, I always wanted costa and one other, cavani is the dream but I really think mandzukic is a decent second choice

Which current English players would you bring to Chelsea?
No he means (Jack) Roswell incident, what a player, he's out of this world..

Diego Costa to Chelsea
What's Lamapard ever done? He's a saint!

Just thought I'd ask...

Didn't Isco have an injury and struggled to find his best form after? Don't think he's been first choice for a little while has he? When its Spain they can pick players based on form fitness ect- Player of the Season
Got a link for the highlights? Or are they in chelseatv?- Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
As much as I can't stand Tottenham have to admitt that's pretty funny. Wonder if we are having one for Cole, should do at some point- Which current English players would you bring to Chelsea?
I'm sure these papers and stats are gonna be making loads of different tables just to get Liverpool on top. Yeah you're both spot on just thought it was worth a read. Still need to address the issue when JT, Lampard and Cole go, looking like in the next couple of years, Cahill not too far behind, after that we don't have any that look like breaking through- Which current English players would you bring to Chelsea?
Pretty academic really but interesting all the same. Do feel we need a few more quality English players with these quotas set to be increased http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/05/11/upshot/up-soccer-table.html?smid=fb-nytimes&WT.z_sma=UP_TPL_20140512&bicmp=AD&bicmlukp=WT.mc_id&bicmst=1388552400000&bicmet=1420088400000&_r=2- Official: David Luiz to PSG
If there's one thing you can't question about Luiz is that he's a winner, he is a big game player and can get the team and the crowd rallied. I remember playing Fulham in the league cup and he was really up for it, more than I've ever seen a player up for the league cup. I can understand people questioning his ability for us but not his temperament- Ross Barkley
Startedwithglenn is spot on, we need English players and were either gonna have to fork out for the best (they always are about 1/3 higher than a foreign equivalent) or put up with some substandard bench warmers to fill our quota. Plus this is a area we clearly need improving, it wouldn't be buying for the sake of buying. We need to do whatever it takes.- my final media bias rant of the season...err...I promise
Yeah I missed the first 15 and thought I must if missed the part the talked about us? Sounds like I didn't. I was the same as you, when I saw they said 'coming up players of the season' I thought oh they'll mention hazard because he's young player of the season at least. Pathetic. Jose being back is one of the biggest stories of the season and they ignored it? From what I saw they basically spoke about everyone except us.- Ryan Bertrand - Should He Have Gone?!
I'd take Bertrand back, he wants to play and I don't blame him, I don't see many options out there, which are cheap or young or English. Shaw does look better but for the money he is going for I'd rather spend it on trying to get Barkely and keep Bertrand in our team, left back really isn't a position I see us needing to spend money on if it means it stops us buying elsewhere. Even 15 million on a left back seems wasteful, I'd rather try to add another striker, like remy, or even keep the money we'd spend on a left back and add it to the pit for trying to get a better cm or add the money onto a top striker. As I said were desperate for homegrown players, especially as they are looking to increase the numbers you need to have, JT Lampard and Cole are all a season or two away from leaving, by then Cahill will be around 30 and well be looking short of English talent, Bertrand solves a couple of issues.- Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Don't watch the championship too much but he only played 12 minutes of both play offs so maybe not too much. Managed 9 goals in the league, not bad if he's not first or even second choice- Player of the Season
That's kinda what I meant, everyone that watches chelsea regularly does rate him, but this was an open vote. People that may just see highlights might not see what he does and like you say Hazard was always gonna win the popularity contest, its easier to recognise players going forward. Maybe the winner would have been different if it was a season ticket holders only vote?- Tony Pulis Appreciation Thread
Hmm weird one, having a look at previous winners and the premier league one seems (to me at least) a lot better resprestenation. Few examples; Premier league manager; Football league manager; - 04/05 Jose Mourinho - 04/05 David Moyes - 05/06 Jose Mourhino - 05/06 Steve Coppell -06/07 Alex Ferguson - 06/07 Steve Coppell -08/09 Alex Ferguson. - 08/09 David Moyes - 13/14 Tony Pulis - f**kING BRENDAN RODGERS How many ex-scousers are now managing league teams?- Diego Costa to Chelsea
True, I'm not saying he's a saint, but we've seen Suarez do it in the prem and embarrass his club, as long as its in the past and he doesn't embarrass Chelsea in the same way I won't care. He has a clean slate as far as I'm concerned, I'm wary of him but like I've said ill judge him after seeing what he does in a blue shirt.- Tony Pulis Appreciation Thread
- Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Don't really see how you can hate him, he's done nothing wrong, I feel sorry for him more than anything, he can't help being sh*t. He wasn't gonna turn down a move to a club with more prospects for better money in a better city. He's not gonna force his way out of a club he's playing regular(ish) football for without any cause. He can't help it no one wants to buy him. Blame the club for not getting rid, paying him too much. Torres doesn't put himself in the team, blame Jose for that, he wants to play of course, he'd be a dick if he didn't. He often does put in some effort, if he can't do it he can't do it. Resentment, not at all.- Diego Costa to Chelsea
I said a minute ago, spainish reporter Graham Hunter has been on SSN, listen to what he's been saying because he is full of praise for him and spoke about how his come on and lost some of the bad sides to his game, that disgusting video is from the previous season and he's been better this year from what I know. Im certainty gonna go with someone who watches him regularly and reserve judgment until we see what he's like over here, I think his talent deserves that from all of us.- Tony Pulis Appreciation Thread
Jose in a hat.- Tony Pulis Appreciation Thread
Pulis has been named manager of the year, has done an absolutely fantastic job, well deserved. - Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
