Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Don't get what was idiotic about my posts, the closet city fan remark perhaps but that was tongue in cheek. I'm not trying to upset or insult anyone just stating that this result is bad for Chelsea, whatever way you look at it the result is bad for the club we all support

Except that we still are mathematically in it still, don't get me wrong were massively outsiders but I'm just so confused how people can be so happy about a result that in reality is bad for the club they support. For me everything first and foremost is about how it affects Chelsea, this result is bad for us so I can't be supporting city. When it comes to the end of the season and we probably finish 3rd anyway Ill be happier if city win it but right now its all about Chelsea for me.

If Liverpool lose on Monday, which I hope they do either way, anyone celebrating should feel absolutely ashamed of themselves.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Almost every single poster on this site said worse about Liverpool fans for celebrating us going out of the champions league, I think it's worse to celebrate a result that puts us further way from, an all be it unlikely title win, just because it stops a team they don't like from possibly winning it. If Liverpool drop the points and city don't will you still be excited that they won (or looking likely to win) their toughest remaining game? If putting others misery above our potential success isn't pathetic I'm no sure what is. It doesn't matter what people want but just surprised for people to be overly happy, I don't want Liverpool to win the league either but ill only care in hindsight when I know if this result made any difference to OUR chances. We have f**ked our chances but doesn't mean just giving up

Still think its bad that people hate Liverpool so much they'd rather city win this game and give ourselves even less hope. Whatever gives US most chance to win the league I will celebrate, pathetic. Also anyone watching sky noticed that Tyler doesn't even say anything when city scored both their goals, he actually seems gutted, idiot.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Very true, arsenal have good attacking players, not as good as hazard I will say, but they are so slack at helping out defensively and it really shows, mainly in the big games, the way we've been playing means everyone has to do their job or the whole team suffers, hazard is not an exception to this, we've seen that mata was sold for not doing his defensive job, that's how important it is

Cech or Courtois?
He doesn't score many goals

I know we got bad results against em away but I enjoy the local trips, I'd rather have the teams I hate in the prem than not, some people (not necessarily you gem) would love to see the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Man U, West Ham and Arsneal go down and never come up, I think I'd enjoy it for a year or two but how boring would the league be without these big games, qpr maybe not as big but I'd rather make the short trip to a meaningful game against them than play derby or Wigan

Chelsea v Norwich (PL) 04/05/14 KO 16:00 BST
Are people seriously thinking we have any chance with goal difference, we would have to score 7 more goals than Liverpool and match whatever they win in their other game by, lets say we would have to score 9 clear goals (being conservative) in our two remaining matches to beat Liverpool on goal difference, I don't think we would do it, not a chance. Then consider we would have to score 15 clear goals in two matches to match city, then on top of that match whatever city do in their two remaining games, being extremely conservative we would have to score 17 clear goals to get above city of goal difference and that's if they win thier two games by 1 goal each. Not gonna happen, this is Chelsea, we've struggled for goals all season, the only chance we have is a miracle of city and Liverpool dropping 3 or more points. City lose once AND Liverpool lose once AND we win our two games we are champions. City draw twice AND Liverpool draw twice AND we win both our games we are champions, I've not completely given up hope, you never know in football, in this season, but, the footballing gods would need to intervene because we have a very small chance.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Yeah I agree that Jose should definitely not be immune from criticism but there is however a difference between questioning his tactics in certain games and trying to argue that he is a failure, he set his own high standard and is judged by that evey year, which is unfair I feel, judge him by every other managers standards and he's had an amazing season. I think people forgot the years when Chelsea didn't win a trophy every season, you've got to see progress as a positive thing and more important than picking up a lucky cup

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Ancelotti couldnt get past the qf with cfc and a better squad, I rate carlo but these comparisons are stupid Jose has clearly progressed our team anyone saying otherwise is an idiot

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Agree agree nothing in reality actually points to it but there's always doubt in my mind with these things until everything is sorted. Jose has been talking a lot about next season, being here till Chelsea decide to let him go, I think he would say nothing about his Chelsea future if he was leaving, why would he try to hide the story?

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Rational thoughts tell me its about his fa charge, my irrational thoughts are making me worry, there is still a vacant united job, I don't believe that just a worry that isn't going away. If there even is any news that is

strikers, strikers, strikers!
No there are no tactics that guarantee you get through defences but we are easy to play against at the moment, if you defend well its very unlikely we are gonna score and teams know that, they sometimes don't even look to go forward, but if you defend as best as you can vs city or Liverpool teams will probably concede anyway so sometimes it seems teams bring the game to both of those a bit more. I do feel its a mix of tactics and players, but I definitely wanna see a bit of a change of formations, our problem with breaking teams down has been since playing 4-2-3-1, makes us good defensively generally but going forward has been a problem for a while. The only way I feel we can play that formation is if we have a young Lampard type that can bomb forward at get 10+ goals a season with matic providing the cover.
-
strikers, strikers, strikers!
Agreed, something has to change when we play the smaller teams, at times I can't even fault the players on the pitch too much I just think the system is too easy to play against

Excited for next season?
It only takes one player to chance a whole season, Man U wouldn't of won the league last year if they hadnt had RVP, the prospects for next season look good but until we sort out our transfers i can't get too excited

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Is so depressing that we can't even find a striker we want let alone get them easily. Whoever we get now will be best of an average group and its going to cost us a lot of money for who knows what returns. We missed our chance last summer, Jose pinned all his hopes on Rooney (who I never wanted) and let falcao and Cavani make their moves without any fight. I think we have to go all out this year on strikers and go for costa and lukaku then find the money for another striker Higuain, Dzeko, Manduzkic, I couldn't care less if we ruin someone's career, if they're unhappy and we have to sell them on next summer, if we have 3 potentially good strikers we should gamble and hope at least one turns out successful

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
I thought the same, in 2012 that penalty would have been missed too, with the champions league, more than other competitions your name does have to be on the cup
-
Chelsea v Norwich (PL) 04/05/14 KO 16:00 BST
I'd go as far as playing strong teams for both, if city and Liverpool get through this weekend they probably won't slip up but if we win the next two you never know, we're already kicking ourselves over dropped points imagine if we drop points that actually would've given us the league.

MOTM vs Atletico Madrid (H) (CL)
Just said I don't think anyone played well really, but JT would get my vote, got on the end of a couple if free kicks and risked getting kicked in the head to score, does give everything for the team

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
I don't want to single hazard out too much but he wasn't tracking back, clearly his fitness wasn't 100% when games are so close like this one it only takes one player to not do their job and the whole team suffer.
