  1. Yeah I agree that we won't have a massive change of personal, it's been rumoured for years and never happens. If we are just gonna make two signings i would want it to be upfront, costa seems almost done and another top striker would be massive, cavani would be the dream but Manduzkic or Benzima would be decent second choices. As for Luiz I think he does suit joses style not sure why you think he won't, especially if we would switch to 4-4-2 we would need some bulk in the middle him and matic could boss most midfields with MVG coming in to hopefully offer something different ( have high hopes for him) If we don't strengthen at the back I wouldn't be surprised or at all bothered, best defence in the league, why change it? Everyone moans about Ivan going forward but maybe he could cross better if we had more than one person in the box. The best signings we could make would be a mid twentys Drogba and Lampard.
  2. True but they would get more for him than 20 + Ba, there will be plenty of offers and I think they'll get everything they can for him
  3. I think they'll do whatever it takes to keep him, I've heard 20 plus lukaku so 20 plus ba is a long way off
  4. Oscar for cavini would be the only reason to sell him, still rate Oscar dispite his major drop in form, he hasn't had a rest for about 2 years and I kinda think its catching up on him, plus it seemed a little like he was saving himself for the World Cup, if true maybe it's not the mentality we want in players but could explain his dip in form. As for mata is annoying that this is a World Cup year, not sure he would of been so desperate to go if it wasn't. As for strikers, costa seems to be a done deal or at least will be, not overly excited but we desperately need to add, we've got every attacking midfielder over the last couple of years now let's just concentrate on getting the strikers right, costa, Manduzkic and one of lukaku , bony or remy would be very exciting for next year

  6. No way, parking the bus is sh*t football, if it wins you games so what! It's all about attacking football and letting leads slip
  7. He needs to realise that not many 21 year old strikers lead the line for top European teams, which is what Chelsea want to be. I don't think he's done enough to walk into our first team, I'm not sure what more he could offer against a packed defence anyway. If he wants to come back and fight for his place ill welcome him but if not I'd swap for Barkley if that's an option
  8. Like I said people questioning my support over the years has annoyed me so I don't think it'd be right for me to go on and say people support the club less than me or anyone else because of what they choose to do, but all I'm saying is that although fans might boo or walk out early for different reasons the overall view for me is that those fans are unhappy that we didn't win a trophy, in that case I'm just saying I completely disagree with their views, not calling them fake supports but I am saying I don't like their opinion and it doesn't reflect well on Chelsea. I think the thing is with glory supporters is that they are more of a thing I have to accept rather than be happy about, it comes hand in hand with success and progression but they also bring negatives for the club, generally they aren't vocal at games and don't appreciate the success as much as others who have been through the tougher times. Ill take em because it means we are doing well but it doesn't mean I like their views. There is a difference between being born at a time where you are lucky enough to only know a successful Chelsea and choosing to support Chelsea because they are successful and that is where fans views seem to differ.
  9. Please no, firstly we need three great strikers, having him may stop us from going for a third one. Secondly I've not forgotten that we finished 6th in the same season we won the champions league, he was far from great week in week out, he did step up massively for the big games but generally he was poor, lets not forget we were brilliant in the big games is season anyway. Thirdly he left with his last kick winning us the champions league, it will never get better than that and coming back to play will only end badly.
  10. Good post, like its been said the hope and expectation came from how close we were to the top of the league and the disappointment from how we threw it away. The problem with this season has been the media, Jose said from the start, even at his first press conference this season he said it is a transitional season, no one believed him, he said we were a 'little horse' people said he's playing mind games, he says we have no chance for the title, people say he's talking rubbish. Jose is very honest but people always try to read into what he's saying, sometimes they shouldn't. Lets not forget how badly other teams transitional seasons have gone. Man U and Tottenham this year and Liverpool for a few years (obviously not this)have been dreadful and they've been out of the champions league. Arsenal have had 9 years of rebuilding and possibly just one fa cup to show for it. It's because this is Chelsea and this is Jose so we are not allowed a transitional season, maybe we are victims of our own success in that sense. People often point to the money we spent to say how can it possibly be a case of rebuilding. Well again ill have to bring up Tottenham, who spent a lot of money and have done terribly, and Man U, who spent 60 odd million and have done even worse. Lets not forget we spent all our money on young, relatively unproven players, the kind of players you buy when you re rebuilding a team, the market is hugely inflated so paying what we did for Willian and schurrle ect is more a reflection on the cost of young talent now days. Also we sold our best player over the last two years, what do you call a team that sells their previous best player if not one trying to change, trying to rebuild and one that is looking further ahead than just this season.
  11. Yeah I agree people have the right to do what they want if they buy the ticket and yeah some people do have a valid excuse but the amount of people leaving early yesterday made it clear the majority were just annoyed. I think people are just disagreeing with people's choice to boo because I think there's very little to boo about, I think the annoyance comes from the assumption that the majority of fans leaving early and booing shows the spoilt mentality of some fans, probably newer fans who have come to expect a trophy every season. Yeah I hate this, I'm at the age where I could of definitely been a glory supporter and was thrown at me when I was at school but luckily I have tickets I saved and pictures of me in Chelsea tops from the mid to late 90s. Just because I was born after someone it doesn't mean I support the club any less I just haven't had as much of a chance. Where was I when we were sh*t? Wasn't born.
  12. This is the same reason I prefer Ronaldo. You put him in any team he will shine and carry them, messi, well I'm not sure he'd be quite the same if not for playing in a great team.
  13. Would be a great shame to see either go. Can understand if ashely went but all I will say is that if he wanted to stay he could, he would have limited playing chances and would have to take a pay cut but I don't think we would let him go if he took our terms, he's been great for us so maybe he shouldn't be made to jump through hoops for us but just saying.
  14. -Consistent retrospective punishment, a set of guidelines in place that govern all, not just made up depending on the game and incident. -Red cards for clear dives, would stop within a week, or retrospective band for incidents missed by refs. - Enforce the rule where only the captain can speak to the ref, stop crowding the ref and trying to get players sent off (Chelsea guilty of this) - Refs having to explain or apologise for controversial decisions, even if they made excuses like 'my angle was blocked' Finally anyone saying head to head over goal difference I just don't think it's fair, would suit us this year but what if you have all your players out for the one important game and you lost it, what if you get an unbelievably bad decision that gifts you the game and then the title. Goal difference is a much fairer representation of who performed consistently over the year, every team knows that goal difference could be important so is up to them to try to score more goals throughout the season, it's not like a team finds out with one game to go and can't do anything about it. If two teams won the equal amount of games, one winning each game 20-0 one winning them 1-0, but the team winning them 1-0 managed to get the better head to head by one goal I don't see how in anyway it shows who is the better team.
  15. Clearly some people expect trophies, that is a horribly spoilt view of our club, leaving early is a disgrace, admittedly some people might have a vaild excuse but I'm talking about 2 or 3 out of the 42,000. When you see large groups leaving, when one goal wins us the game and its the last game of the season I don't know how these people can call themselves fans. As for booing, I think fans have the right to boo, today was not in my opinion worthy of that, we tried we just couldn't get the goal, if the team comes out and look like they couldn't care less, every single player seemingly wanting to be somewhere else then fans should show the players that its unacceptable. Thankfully with Jose as the manager it's very rare for players not to try.
  16. Haha fair! I think it is more wishful thinking than expectancy on my part, wishing that other teams dropped points is optimistic, expecting to make up a big goal difference is just stupid and I'd take my chances with the lottery rather than expect that.
  17. Hope you don't mean me, I was explaining on other threads that if it come to goal difference we'd have no chance as its about matching what other do in their other games ,which would be tough enough, let alone making up the ridiculous difference there already is. As I said I get that the scousers are being idiots thinking they'll make up the goal difference but some of us are too.
  18. Wasn't that when we were winning sending Bolton down but effectively saving someone we didn't like from relegation? Fans got on the players back, partly joking I suppose Normally have teams I really don't like and want to go down this year not too bothered this year, no real hate for Norwich just rather them than other i suppose.
  19. What I mean is that people on this site have been saying that city only need to draw because they think we can catch them up on goal difference. So if you're laughing at Liverpool getting ahead of themselves it's even worse for fans on here.
  20. Can't remember the łast time, I do feel slightly bad but I'd rather Norwich go down than a couple of others, sacking a manager with 5 games to go you're asking for it
  21. You laugh but I've seen similar comments coming on here about goal difference and look how far we are behind. It's hope that really hurts people in the end.
  22. It is too tough a competition to balance around a successful league campaign, travelling all over on Thursdays is never good escpailly for the smaller teams that always end up getting in it through cup finals. It won't be long before teams start turning it down, if they can?
  23. Hull in Europe next year, that's a strange thought, probably terrible for their survival hopes next season.
  24. I'm in no way confident well win, but was city's toughest game and its gone. Since you asked nicely ill let it go, for you, unless people want to carry it on by quoting me ill leave it, clearly pointless me arguing.
