Atletico v Chelsea - (CL SF 1st Leg) 22/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
Good result I suppose, dunno how I feel about not getting the away goal though, makes it simple, we have to win to go through and if its tight it will be very nerve racking

Has jut hit me that we may lose our version, which has been my favourite song to sing this year, that and the Willian one

The Davy Moysie Thread
Jose is too proud, if he wasn't their first choice he won't be their second choice, all his hate for Barcelona came from a similar situation I think they missed their chance when they apparently overlooked him. I also don't believe he's anywhere near as desperate for the united job as people make out.

Team of the year
I didn't actually watch it just come up on twitter, tried avoiding the talking as they normally talk about other games and still not over the defeat and don't wanna hear the Liverpool praising. Bit surprised azpilicueta wasn't even in their top two, think he's been great. 4 out of a back 5 from Chelsea really wouldn't of been surprising for me but have rated Marshall this year, I think I'm right in saying he has highest number of saves and I can understand the thinking in shaw as well. i normally hate these teams but these did a good job, find myself liking Neville and Carragher more than I thought I ever would

Main question mark for me was sterling too, really rate Lallana. I'd agree with the other two you mentioned as well but a lot closer to call.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Yeah I agree with you in a large part, my point was mainly disagreeing with the comments that Jose can only be a short term manager, I think he needs a chance before people assume. But at the same time if a player is good enough they will make it anyway, we don't do enough but it's very simple if players have the talent they will go somewhere else and progress, it's not like they're under 13s who won't get another shot if they get let go. You can't hide from the fact that from all the youth players who haven't made it at Chelsea previously wouldn't get in the team now, unless you include Sturridge, who we bought and matic

Danny Welbeck
I remember him being at Sunderland and I think that's why I always think he should go there, suited the shirt, plus they seem like a dumping ground for united rejects. As for England, is off topic but you're completely right, what about players like Huddleston or puncheon? Don't even get a look in cause of who they play for, not saying they'd start but I'd take them over cleverly for sure, could go on a rant about England for ages but not the right place

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
The club as a whole have let down youth players I agree, but as for Jose, which of the youth players he has ignored have proved him wrong? If you can name a few ill accept that he can't be a long term manager, but I don't think you can, it's alright saying you've got to let them play but if they're not good enough they're not good enough, it's not an excuse its the truth. Even the loan players haven't shown enough to prove they'd walk straight into our first team. As a whole we've not done enough but that's due to consistent managerial change, my point was more to say Jose hasn't really had the chance to bring younger players through so its wrong to assume he cant

Danny Welbeck
Terrible player, about Sunderlands level and will be at a team like that if a decent manager comes into united. I rate him so little that anyone who thinks his decent, in my opinion, has little to no knowledge of him, they can't watch him regularly enough, they are very suggestible to what commentators say about him and believe the English hype created from nowhere, either that or they don't know what makes a good football player, his touch is one of the worst I've ever seen from a professional football player but his pace allows him to make up for his blunders, his goal scoring record is shocking, although improved this year. He wouldn't even get in the Chelsea squad let alone the bench and even less likely the team, he is not good enough for the England team and I'd leave him at home.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
It's only worth giving youth a chance when they are good enough, which of our youth players we had under jose the first time have proven theyre high quailty and he should of given them game time? maybe there are a few but im drawing a blank. I dont think anyone can make much of a case for any of our loan players or youth players showing at the start of the year they were good enough, some look decent on loan but thats the whole point of sending them out, so that they improve with more game time. plus he has picked azpilicueta over cole this season, maybe not the youngest but has picked youth over experience

Your ideal starting XI next season..
Can't see why people want to change the best defence in the league? 30 mil for shaw is stupid money, don't think he's worth it. Cech is still better than Courtois for me, with goalkeepers people get carried away when they don't see their mistakes like we do with Cech week in week out, plus we could have another de Gea on our hands with him, a lot more physical in the prem who knows how well deal with it. I would like Luiz/matic in the middle, maybe wit van ginkel coming in at times but everyone acts like we need a passing midfielder desperately, Luiz can pass the ball quite well and is growing more and more into the roll, as for matic I think we saw glimpses of his passing ability on Sunday, better than people give him credit for. I wouldn't change much going forward either except the obviously brining in a striker, costa being the likely buy. People seem to think new = better, that's my attitude when I play FIFA, but in reality if its not broke dont fix it, we have the likes of Willian, schurrle and Salah who all look like they will improve the more they get used to the prem (the latter two more so than Willian) lets not forget we're 7 games from a double without a striker, were one player short of a great team.

Thompsons an idiot never gives Everton or united any credit and shocked by that answer? As been said its stupid to ask an ex Man U player the question especially considering his team is worried about staying up, why would he care about who wins it

Also can't help but think its party due to the fact we he cannot escape our position in both league and champions league, he's been playing down our chances all season and I don't think he wants to say we can win things just yet

With a few not being able to play in cl his decisions might be made for him, especially if there are more yellows in the first leg of athletico, but if you've ever watched Jose its clear he never rests players too much, every game is important to him, even in fa cup and league cup still put out a rarely strong team the whole way, just look at how much Lampard played during his first row and you'll see Jose thinks one match at a time

I think now all the games are obviously important I can't see us lacking the concentration needed to get all three points against the teams lower in the table. Especially if we win the next two, putting us top I don't think well slip up at Norwich at home, not a chance, then Cardiff away on the last day to win the title, can't see anything other than a win. The toughest games are the next two, gonna be very tough but if we're in the driving seat well do it

I don't think so, we needed city to lose one draw one for it to be in our hands, I think they may of won one last night had they held onto a draw from being 2-0 down on sunday, even if they drew at weekend and still drew last night we would still be needing them to slip up in another result, never a guarantee. Plus Liverpool dropping two points at city would just put them on the same points as us but ahead on goal difference, we'd still need to beat them, or get a better result in a different game, either a draw or win when they lose or draw, but in that case city would still have a chance to finish ahead of us, all very complicated, hoping I'm making sense, but I think unless city went completely off the rails we needed them to lose that game and I don't think after palace there was any realistic situation where we could win the league without winning all of our games.

Always had faith that 87 would be enough, it's now down to us, we have the special one, we have a special team, we have the experience and we can do it KTBFFH

Wasn't this the game that virtually gave us our last title? Seems a good omen

The idea that arsenal are one player short of the title seems ridiculous, especially as you'd think all the other teams will improve this summer, everyone keeps saying they need a striker, but the problem isn't like ours, where we don't break down small teams, what's a striker gonna do when they're loosing 6-0? Would have to be better than messi to score 7, you have a mentally weak team in my opinion and too many luxury players, arteta is a joke in the big games, giroud goes missing, I would get rid of santo carzola from your team all together, overrated and, although in the arsenal team tackling isn't his job, he couldn't get the ball of a 5 year old. Don't rate Gibbs or Sagna as premiership winning standard. Plus you have a poor squad, a few injuries or suspensions and arsenal look very weak very quickly, especially at the back. Main concern for me would be a cm/cdm if your moving chamberlain there I'd still think he'd need someone next to him, someone strong who can break down play, matic or fernandinho type player. but even when you could this season you havent thought about playing 3 in the middle in big games, Wilshire areteta and ox. Can't help but feel the sooner wenger goes the better, you have to be niave to think you can just play the same agaisnt wvery single team you play. Consistent champions league is good but what's the point in getting in it when you never make an impact on it. Have been very unlucky with injuries to your key players. Walcott, Ramsey, Chamberlin and Wilshire are all good enough players and I still think ozil will come back strong, not a million miles away but just got the wrong manager for me.

I'm saying I don't think their fixture list is a nightmare, apart from city the other teams have either nothing to play for or by the time they play them would have nothing to play for as they could already be virtually safe. Things might change for the teams at the bottom but facing two sides that are just as desperate for points as you is not going to be easy. I think you lot will get top four but its not a certainty, its not over until arsenal are celebrating getting 4th as if its a trophy..or not

So Everton, the team second in the form league, if I'm not wrong, are going to draw with, admittedly a resurgent, but still a shockingly poor united, who will have little or nothing to play for (fairly certain they'd wanna lose the game as to not get Europa). Draw against Southampton whose game I streamed at the weekend, they looked very poor, again have nothing to play for and are missing one of their key players. Admittedly man city will be very tough but they've shown they can compete in the big games and get results. You listed some but missed out when they beat us 1-0, also they did then kept it close at Stamford bridge and were unlucky not to get a point. Even when they haven't got the results they've played well. Everton can draw one game win the rest, it might mean you have to win all of your games, yes your record against the smaller teams is good but you really think west brom and Norwich, both fighting for thier lives are gonna roll over? You may well get 4th but don't see why you think it's in the bag Add to this that they haven't lost at home all season if my quick search is right and as mentioned they don't have to beat city if they match your results in the rest of the games

Adrian Durham Article - C**t
Saw it on the mail website, my iPad already has enough cracks on the screen without the one that would come from the inevitable hammer throw of it after reading that sh*te. No point annoying myself.
