Welcome Ross Barkley
You have posted some twaddle in the past, but that bit really does top the lot as one of the most stupid things I have seen posted by you or anyone else (and I was here when that bloke from Sydney used to post his words of wisdom and Loz still had hair)

Chelsea v Valencia (CL) Tue 17th Sep 20:00 GMT
And how quickly they turn. Manager goes from "Sir Super Frank, club legend, gotta get behind him, this season will be a marvellous roller-coaster of a ride", to "Lampard....bizarre......cost us 3 home wins already this season" in the first month and a bit. f**k knows what it will be like for some if we are in the bottom half of the table in December.

Willian
Check the Mikel threads before you start a new one :) Throughout his career he has NEVER been a great goal scorer, that's why I find it ridiculous that posters in here make so much fuss about his low scoring returns. I think some people just have either a weird idea that every player needs to be trying for the golden boot, or Willian has been shagging a shedload of posters' wives or something. On Saturday I saw some tit complaining about Willian BEFORE KICK-OFF and again a couple of minutes in before he'd even done anything. Just gets a bit tired and irritating, really.

Willian
You're confusing me with just ( and just about anyone else) but my position on Willian has always been to look at his previous, and he has never been a great scorer or assister, anywhere. He brings a different skill set to a team and many, many top class managers recognise that at both club and international level. Not every player in a team has to be scoring goals or saving penalties to be valuable to the performance.
-
Willian
Nope, and never has been in 83 seasons as a top international player. That's my position on Willian always. He's never been a great goal-scorer throughout his career, so why are w**kers slamming him for not scoring 20 a season now? The man brings a different dynamic to the team that many top professional managers recognise, but being a main goal scorer isn't it. Neither Bonetti, Chopper Harris nor Makele scored many - were they sh*te too?

Willian
Now you're just being either silly or demented in your bigotry. There are many reasons to criticise Willian, but tonight there aren't any - bloke was good tonight. And not many others were. If you cant see that, then you are letting your pre-conceived hatred of the player get in the way of any rational analysis. But, love you, babe, anyway.

I've been off doing charitable good works and saving fallen women. :)

It's refreshing to find that we can still attract such football geniuses, full of indepth knowledge and tactical acumen. I love it when the true professionals join a humble little fan forum like ours and give us all the wonderful benefit of their extensive expertise. If only the club could search out and employ these world-class experts, we'd be cruising up there in the heady heights of the top half of the Premier League instead of languishing in the relegation places.

The "worst team in the league" who are above us on goal difference and on the same points as Spuds and Manure

It is NEVER acceptable for an allegedly "grown man" to refer to a shirt as a "top". You'll be asking "does this blouse match my trousers" soon

Willian
True, mate. I just get pissed off when some posters have an obvious agenda, regardless of what the bugger does. I am convinced that some people have just got a Word document of disparaging remarks and they cut and paste those irrespective. That and writing down every little misplaced pass and failed tackle, then presenting those like a primary school report...... "and then he........ and then he....... and then he.......! " and so on. Mikel used to get it, Morata got it (justifiably, mostly), and it's mostly just people need a scapegoat to take it out on.

Willian
Don't get me wrong, @Scott Harris, last week's "performance" was utterly abysmal, and probably the worst we have ever seen from him or nearly anyone else. But when you have people posting their "Oh FFS Willian" posts in the match thread immediately after he's come on, and before he's actually done anything, and when there is a poster who has clearly sat down with a crayon and paper and written down every single thing that Willian did wrong, minute by minute, just to be able to virtue signal his dislike for the player in a detailed post, its very difficult to accept the notion that Willian isn't being made a scapegoat by some people. That and the Mikel-style repeptitions of the fallacy of "he always hits the first man at corners". If anything, the opposite is the case and mostly the corners seem to fly over the penalty area beyond any of our players. Not saying that is good, just that the "always hits the first man" trope is just lazy and wrong. You know I have defended Willian many times in here, and still think that there is just an unwarranted dislike for the player from some people, but ultimately, if there was ANYTHING at all in the rumoured offers from Barcelona or elsewhere, we should have ripped their arms off. His time has passed. He made valuable contributions in the past, and possibly could in the future, but this is the new Chelsea, so I'm happy to see less of him in the team. I still won't boo the bugger or cheer if he gets injured, mind. Never could see how booing your own players was beneficial to anyone.

You are right - it's just slack use of language. Every fool knows he's not a buffoon, he's a clown.

The clothing we wore to the football back then.
All you rich f**kers with yer labels and such. Button-fly Levis (didn't know about the numbers then, but cost £3 15s from the cattle market shop), Ben Sherman (still), Harrington and DMs. Crombie when it was cold (still now for funerals and the like) Sometimes a nice pair of brogues instead of DMs (steel toecap ones from work)

Chelsea vs Leicester (PL) Sun 18th Aug 16:30 GMT
I've always been a mellow softy, you know that. But is does strike me as a bit surreal that we have people writing off the season and some of our promising young talent after 2 matches. And booing the f**king blooming team.

Isn't that the exact definition of a "fair weather fan"? Any road up, the honeymoon period lasted about as long as the time that @loz has his wallet open when it's his round, but hey, we still have Willian to hate on, eh?

Whilst that would be very appealing, I am assured daily by our upright and totally altruistic politicians that any stout Englishman attempting to cross the border into what you might refer to as a "europe" but which all right-minded people know to be the un-democratic, fish-stealing, banana-straightening empire of Beelzebub, which robbed us of our virgins and innocents in its "Kavos" and "Ibiza", would instantly and irrevocably turn into a hissing and steaming puddle of red-faced bigotry and irrational gibbering about blue passports, which Delors will then fashion into his infamous anti-Thatcher "camembert". And then where would we be? Up sh*t creek without a groat or farthing, that's where.

I was also very encouraged and excited, Liam - and it's good to see you back with your attempts at wit - I, for one, have missed them. Unfortunately, you'll not be able to attend the proposed piss-up, seeing as how the Brectums are going to install watch-towers and machine guns on the border and anti-aircraft balloons all along the coastline of New Albion (currently called Carmarthenshire). Still, demonocracy, eh?

Chelsea vs Liverpool (Super Cup) Wed 14th Aug 20:00 GMT
Yep, they always say that. And then they go googling some details about Chelsea from years ago, and get too over-complicated and then we all have a jolly good laugh at how silly they are, before they get aggressive enough to get banned or stupid enough to get banned. My money is on stupid in your case, but aggressive is equally possible.

Not shouting, just pointing out that my spidey-sense (world famous as it is) has identified clearly that you're a dipper masquerading as Chels and your IP will soon be on so many iffy websites you'll end up on a register.

Chelsea Women - Free Tickets
I don't know if I missed this being posted previously, but I had an email from the club that says "CLAIM YOUR FREE TICKETS TODAY Chelsea FC Women v Tottenham Hotspur Women Sunday 8 September, 12:30pm Stamford Bridge The Stage is set - Chelsea FC Women’s opening match of the 2019/20 season is a mouth-watering encounter against newly promoted Tottenham Hotspur and today the news becomes a whole lot bigger. The venue for this London derby is Stamford Bridge and on top of that, all tickets are FREE! You can book up to four tickets, all for free, and as we anticipate a full house, please only claim seats if you think you are sure to attend, so as not to deny any fellow Blues the chance to be there. Join us at Stamford Bridge this September as Emma Hayes’ side begin the quest to regain the title they won as recently as 2018." I think it's for members and season ticket holders , but it's not clear. Not like the club to be giving anything away for free, but it might be a crack. OOPS! @Munkworth had already posted this at
