We're finally back to where we were. Past 4 years have been the absolute worst, club getting sanctioned with the threat of liquidation by the govt, managerial merry go rounds, chopping and changing of structure at the top, all Roman's VIPs leaving on the same day, new owner mishaps, the millions wasted on expensive old players, the turgid and boring football
Even tho now we had to travel to Almaty thousands of miles away and an Irish team next, it's at least we can finally have fun supporting the team and manager

Cant believe the 3-6 game was over 10 years ago, feels like yesterday. 

Liverpool so far have been carried by Salah, 70% + overall Goal contributions so far and I dont think that is sustainable for the whole season. If those numbers were to drop whether that is due to form or injury I can see Liverpool dropping a lot of points. Plus with Andy Robertson starting to show signs of slowing down and TAA having 1 eye on the exit door I can see teams starting to find ways to negate Liverpool.
We are in a similar boat with Caicedo as I don't see us winning the league if Caicedo is side-lined for a extended period of time but than again who exactly thought we'll be in a title race, I know fans who would've taken Europa League finish at the start of the season.

Please excuse the shameless bump! Just popped in to say I told you so. Pep letting this lad go (and not giving him any kind of run, resulting in him wanting to leave in the first place) is a WHOPPER of a blunder.

Snobbery in here is crazy, there isn't a striker in world football right now who is clinical, contributes regularly to build up, can pass and is flawless week in week out. Unless Haaland scores you hardly ever know he is on the pitch, yet he's seen as the best of the best. 

Wacko absolutely bullied their centre half for his goal, completely out of nothing. Should have had an assist off of a good cross into Noni. There was the potential for a pass in the lead up to the Palmer/Madueke mess up but its not straight forward and would have had to go perfectly between 2 defenders. We want our striker to be shooting there. 

And don't get me started on the header assist/no assist debate. I couldn't care less if he gets the assist for it or not, he bullied the centre half again. No way he should be getting his head on that let alone scoring. 

The bloke isn't perfect, he can be frustrating. But he's held against such an unrealistic yard stick by some in our fan base, where anything other than a complete performance is seen as sh*te. If you listed off the contributions above for any other prem striker, we'd be clamouring for them to replace Wacko in January.

The sad reality is that the media control the perception of how good a Central Midfielder is, with attackers usually the goal contributions can help build that argument however I was gobsmacked with Gary Neville's comments stating Caicedo has improved in the last few games whilst also later claiming he has only seen us play twice this season against City and Liverpool.
With the exception of a handful of games at the start of his Chelsea career I think its safe to say he has been the 2nd best player we've signed under the new regime and of all the 100m signings (Enzo, Bellingham, Rice) he is starting to look like the best.

Here's their squad, and I'm struggling to see who I'd want ahead of any of our players in that lot ... possibly Onana, but not much enthused about any of the outfielders !

Couple of reasons why Maresca is looking to invert the RB, firstly with Gusto shifting into Midfield one of the Left sided opposition midfielders has to press to account for the additional body in midfield, this creates space for Palmer on the inside right channel.
Secondly I believe Maresca wants Levi to be the Central Defender in his system, if Cucurella Inverts Levi shifts to the left Fofana is the Central defender and Gusto is on the right and I don't think Maresca has the trust in Fofana to play in that central area.

Reports stating that Chelsea will target Jadon Sancho in the summer, I wonder if the fans would prefer Grealish to Sancho?
I personally think that Grealish would be a safer bet then Sancho.

Only one person springs to mind, he is not the fastest nor is he the fittest and he is not very experienced, he cant kick the ball particularly straight, he's not the most intelligent and he hasn't got any discipline. His preferred positions are RB, LB and CDM. He's never played CB before but most importantly he wants to be a millionaire and he loves chelsea.

I'm not a betting man but if I were to gamble on our season being a success I place all my chips on this guy. He simply has to start every game now if he's fit. Looked the most positive when he came on vs Leicester. Always looking to move the ball fwd and making runs between the lines which is important for the way we want to play.
I can understand wanting to have an impact player off the bench but surely you must start your best players in must win games? He scored in last year's fa cup final, he scored and assisted in back to back semi final legs vs madros in the UCL. Alongside Mount he is our big game player.
We just need him to turn up for the last 3 games now. Please TT I love you but see sense and play Christian he is magic.

Every 50|50 call in this game has gone Liverpool way. 

City don't really sit back when they go a goal down they tend to continue to play the same way, most other prem teams drop back into a low block after going a goal up and we just cannot penetrate the low block. 

How can Oliver give the handball in the first half when the ball is hit on Silvas hand point blank yet miss the one by Perez, absolute disgraceful officiating in the final once again. 

In my view if fit Pulisic should start all games, yes he might have off days like he did against Arsenal but he is the only player who can drop deep and take a few players on in tight areas.
