If Kovacic is the best player in the squad then that's a serious worry.

Now VVD is out I think City will win the league quite comfortably this year, squad is just too dam good. Laporte and Aguero back from injuries and they have KDB.

So you can safely sell all your midfielders even though you play well over 50 to 60 games. Shall we sell every CB we have then because Silva is better than every CB at the club, it makes no sense. You would only have Silva playing every game. Man City did extend his contract, why has he made 2 starts and been involved in all 4 league games. Just because he doesnt start every game for City who have a better player in Rodri doesn't mean he wont improve Chelsea. City are better than Chelsea and have the best squad in english football if not Europe. I cant even remember the original point but I have no doubt Fernandinho would improve this current Chelsea team because he is exactly what we need. Would I take Fernandinho over Jorginho for this season, hell yeah but then I'm getting old and I like my dms to be able to defend.

He would solve some of them because the issues are in goal, cbs and midfield. We dont have a midfielder who cant protect and Fernandinho would solve that in this team right now, like a 36 yr old Silva is better than all out CBs. Why would you sell Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante? I dont understand that. Have one midfielder for the whole season, what formation would you play, 4132, that's brave.

Fernandinho would be the best dm at our club but then so would alot of other dms at smaller prem clubs and would make a difference because he would sit there and protect. What does fine mean? Finish top half?, top 4?, win the league? Win the champions league?

Fans in the stadiums works both ways, it helps the big clubs going to places like Burnley, Leeds, Wolves etc when those fans would make an even bigger impact. If Brighton have the fans I doubt we would win a game which we was very lucky to win anyway.

Barca who have no money to spend? Spain have Rodri who is better than Busquets. Busquest is no bad player by the way and players can play that role later into there careers like Fernandino who would still be perfect for Chelsea, international football comes down to personal choice anyway, Deschamps loves Giroud for some strange reason and has taken dislikes to other players like Laporte.

There's the Jorginho stats 😂 No amount of stats hide the fact Jorginho is so bloody slow and is very weak, two big weaknesses IMO from a central midfielder.

Having Silva in defence gives you a better CB, but a 36 year old who goes off with Brazil every month and won't play 2 games a week that often. Even with Silva I still feel we are weak at the back because I see problems with Kante and Jorginho in midfield. Kante has been out of form for a good while now and Jorginho has just as many weakness as positives. We need a Fabinho or Rodri type player, great passer but big, strong, not slow, and can feel in for at the back if a CB gets pulled out of position.

How does Kepa react better? He gets beaten whatever IMO. I'm just giving credit to striker like Werner with McCarthy. Need to give Kepa abit of a boost, he only messed up 2 goals and made Hitchcock look world class.

I dont blame Kepa at all for the first goal, that's really reaching. That's just good finishing from a top striker, that ball was going in the net the second Ings was through. If that's Werner then no Chelsea fan calls it bad goalkeeping.

Fantastic player, was just making the point that it seems his error had been forgotten as Kepa is rightly getting slaughtered. A mistake I doubt he will make again as he will learn quickly but it was a goal given away at the worst possible time.

Any defender can pass the ball from side to side but I never felt comfortable with Zouma when he has ball under pressure. Like Slojo said "He's the best out of a bad bunch."

Looks like Kepa's bad game let Havertz off the hook for the first goal who let Southampton back in just before halftime.

Everytime I come into this thread I see your stats and videos, I see it more as desperation to defend a player when it's easier to see someone's strength and weaknesses by watching the game. I was just taking the p***
