No but I'm sure I'll be reminded how great he has been this season with some stat charts at the end of the season while he has been stat packing against Europeans best teams. Let's see how he gets on for the rest of the season before people get excited ffs.

I think at this point it's undeniable that we are a better team with Jackson in it, however, it's because he's the only striker we have. If we had a striker who had his attributes and could actually shoot we'd be in a much better league position.

Let’s start with both Joao Felix and Sancho weren’t signed for footballing reasons, they were lazy punts by the SDs trying to be too clever. They have seen Sancho’s value gone from €80m to £25m, and reckon if they can get a tune out of him they will have an undervalued asset that has appreciated on our books. The problem with saying £25m is a free player is the player will actually be worth £14m, so we are technically overpaying. Now how many £25m players are on £150k/w, which in assume will be his say if he agrees to a move. Presently he is not worth £25m in the market, and there are only a handful of clubs on the planet that will pay those kind of wages. More than half of them won’t be interested in his services.

Cucurella cost 65m and has taken 3 years to look half decent, like its been mentioned in his thread his still woeful defensively like Luiz. Then you have Felix aswell and im not even touching the surface of awful transfers the club has made.
Im not going backwards and forwards with you trying to find an excuse for each transfer and the best you coming up with is no brainer business deal and Jackson our best striker. We could get Mark Stein back and he would be out best striker at the moment.

You spend 1.5 billion then top 4 is bare minimum tbh, that's how I feel about it. I would expect Forest, Newcastle, Brighton, Fulham, Villa and Bournemouth fans to think the same if their clubs spent the same, by the way these are the clubs we are fighting for top 4 but spend much better.

If you want to talk about "reality", let's have a look behind this line about 20 year olds.
We have 30 players in our first team squad as it stands and only 8 of them are younger than 22. 6 of those 8 are younger than 21, and none of those 6 are getting many minutes, and some none at all (the 6 for the record are Acheampong,. George, Guiu, Amougou, Kellyman, and Anselmino). The team is relatively young in comparison to other teams, but it is not "a team of 20-year olds".
The other "reality" is that BlueCo have spent £1.2 billion on players. That is an absolute colossal amount of money (the old adage is that a million seconds is 11 and a half days and a billion seconds is nearly 32 years, to emphasise exactly how huge a billion actually is). For that money we should be #1 in England, and in the Top 3 in Europe. To be bumping along where we have been in the last 3 years is insanely inept.

I agree with a lot of this.
He's been getting praise all season as one of our best players, and I do agree to some extent, but there are massive flaws in how we use him.
When he's asked to defend, he can't do it so he guesses. Sometimes he will get it right, most of the time he won't. He's basically David Luiz in that area.
His inverted full back role has been extended to a free roaming fullback role under Maresca, and it's severily damaged our game in my opinion. He's getting in the way of every attacking player, especially Palmer, who is needing to drop off and go deep because Cucurella has taken up his space. How often do we see Palmer get into the box these days? it's not often. He can't do it anymore because he has Cucurella ghosting into his position and occupying the space. I don't want Cucurella in our most attacking positions, I want our attackers there.
When an attack breaks down, we are like a man down because we have no cover. It's all well and good saying one of the midfielders need to drop off, but they're not defenders, they don't have those natual instincts to do it. We're already asking a lot of Caicedo as it is, asking him to fill in for Cucurella is over kill.
Cucurella's role is needlessly complicating things and it's so typical of coaches like Maresca to do things like this. They try and make football a more complicated game than it needs to be. Cucurella's original inverted full back role where he was moving into midfield to be the extra man to build from the back was enough, we don't need him to go any further than that. Cucurella can score 10 goals a season and I would still have this same opinion on his role that I do now. Those 10 goals are worthless if it's just stunting every other aspect of our attack.
