  1. He's the one getting ridiculous fines when his colleagues are getting away with much worse, he's reacting like he should. For me, him and the club should be much more aggressive, take them to court, demand clear rules or just refuse to pay. You can't just accept it when such clear evidence is right in front and all around you. Comments like this in some interview has no effect on team performances anyway. He's in Wenger's head more than ever before btw, Wenger is the one who starts the comments in his press conferences, hiding to avoid handshakes and tried to physically assault him out of frustration. Every major Mourinho on Wenger story started with a Wenger comment trying to clever and Jose closing the deal ruthlessly with some (you can say) harsh truth. I liked a lot of aspects of the last two games, JT and Matic are starting to come back which is the most important thing for the team's stability. Mourinho will motivate Hazard to properly start his season and we're ready to go. You can see a clear change in approach.
  2. I agree, he was decent but these aren't the performances that are going to get him a starting spot (understandable as he's young in a new team), especially when according to the manager he wasn't ready for the intensity in training and is probably not his buy. There's no reason to look KDB btw as the intention for him was clearly to be a starter until his form dropped, he wasn't strong enough mentally to fight for it and wanted to leave, nothing you can do here. We can hope that Baba shows a different attitude and earns the manager's trust. There's also the very strong possibility that Mourinho now prefers Azpi at LB.
  3. I didn't know Baba is a RB as the question was clearly who replaces Ivan. Let's not forget that Baba played two games against our two weakest opponents this season and didn't impress. This can also be something that Jose considers. If he's good enough, works hard and has the right mentality to earn Mourinho's trust (as right now, it seems like he wasn't his choice or at least first choice), he'll eventually play.
  4. For me, even if he gets back to his best, which I assume is the August - November 2014 period, he's not good enough to play every game. He's great on the ball with time and space, play him in the mid table home matches where he can have a positive influence on the team without sacrificing the balance just to fit him in. In fast paced away matches he struggles, against top teams he usually struggles, against any kind of aggression and pressing he struggles. I'm sure Jose sees that as he plays Ramires and Mikel to cover for him but it needs to be a priority to fix. To put the blame on Matic in this situation who since he came back has been exceptional until the last month is ridiculous to me. We'll see in the summer if Jose goes all out to get Pogba or we move on to other targets.
  5. I hope for a more aggressive approach from the club on this, it's fine if it's happening around you but when there's such a clear inconsistency that is so easy to prove, go against them and expose their bias and corruption. Refuse to pay or send a clear message with countless examples. It's time to clean this pathetic organization as well.
  6. Pretty clear what Ivan has on Jose, he has his complete trust after years of excellent performances. He has the win at all cost mentality that Jose loves and the commitment to give everything for the team. If he's playing him it's because he believes that it's just bad form and hopefully it is. I don't get why we're talking about height of a full back here, he's not talking about full backs. He's saying that the team has 3-4 players who can do a job at set pieces. Height is not the whole story. Matic is the best DM in the world at his best but he can do much better in the air, he can be more aggressive. He's progressing so that's a good thing. Other than him we have the CBs, that's it. If you look at the rest of the usual team, it's mostly a mismatch. The way I remember our set up (at least when it was still functioning properly), Terry and Ivan take their two best in the air and Costa at the near post, I can see what he's talking about because it does look vulnerable in other areas. Baba is probably not Mourinho's choice which is already a huge problem in how our board/Emenalo is working, something needs to change in the that process because it's no coincidence that we're buying and selling so many players at such a short time.
  7. Complaints about penalties - Worse than physically assaulting a manager and calling the ref naive. Not surprising, this organization is as corrupt and rotten as FIFA/UEFA, hopefully they are next on the list.
  8. Cruyff is a dinosaur in modern football terms, still stuck in his 70s bubble and seems very bitter for some reason. Someone here mentioned it already but I'll always remember him doing his media tour after the Jose/Frisk incident basically criticizing Mourinho and Chelsea for having the best defence in the world. A few days later we smashed his team in 19 minutes.
  9. Nobody devotes more time to this club than Mourinho. He can go to promote his book on the break if we're fighting relegation or 10 points clear at the top. Actually, this book sounds very interesting as I expect it to be honest and real.
  10. Jose is not talking about full backs. We usually have 6-7 players in this current team who can't do a job at set pieces. Matic is not what I consider great in the air, he's good. Terry and Ivanovic are two of the best in the world, Cahill a level below but still great (Zouma the same for now), Matic and Costa are good. A team of Oscar/Hazard/Willian/Fabregas/Baba/Azpi is vulnerable and against some opponents can have a clear mismatch in 5 or 6 duels. That's without talking about a trust in Baba and his performances which is a different story.
  11. Not an ideal time to throw a player like that when the situation is so stressful but that's also a great opportunity and if it means Fabregas replaces him on the bench, it's worth it.
  12. I don't care about public messages, the message should be to the players, staff, board etc. Jose Mourinho is the man to take Chelsea forward, any distraction should be removed. I don't buy that dressing room noise, Terry and Ivan are the two most powerful figures in that dressing room and Jose's most loyal players, but if there's anyone, they should identify who it is and get rid of him. Same goes to replaceable doctors who think they're celebrities, get rid. Same goes for clueless board members who are failing at their job and desperately trying to mask it (Emenalo or whoever), get rid. The authority and hierarchy should be clear. We want stability and consistent success, no more impulsive, panic decisions like some hysteric lunatic. Some "fans" (presumably kids based on some of the comments and attitude, at least I hope so) don't realize how lucky we're that a man on a mission to be the greatest manager in the history of the sport wants to build a long term dynasty at this club. What this club needs to do is just give him the most comfortable platform to do so.
  13. I think Mata suffered from not being part of Jose's first pre season, when he returned from his break, Jose already had the structure in place with Oscar in that position. He was also unlucky that Oscar had probably his best form in a Chelsea shirt at the time and Mata couldn't win his place back. In general, I think Mata playing on the right with Oscar in the middle makes for an unbalanced side and I didn't want them playing together. After that Mata wanted to leave for first team football and the offer we got was great, no issue with that. I liked Mata and would take him for Fabregas as a number 10 easily, both have their weaknesses but at least Mata was productive enough to be worth his place in the team. As for dropping players on Jose, of course not. But you also can't expect him to play unknown last minute signings that he doesn't even know just because a board member offered it to him as a last, numbers to the squad type option. Mourinho is a control freak just like Fergie, you don't do things his way, he'll make sure you know it. He's not going to go against his principles and play someone he doesn't trust. It's his reputation on the line. Emenalo or whoever should work harder and support the manager's decisions and choices, we signed and sold too many players in a short period of time for it to be a coincidence. You want stability, you want a Mourinho's Chelsea dynasty, give him full control over the professional side of the game like Utd did.
  14. David Luiz was and is a defensive liability, good athlete, colorful personality, great player on his day, that's about it. Not good enough to play CB consistently for Chelsea. Mata was outperformed by a better and younger player at the time, couldn't force his way back into the team and wanted to leave, nothing to do here. De Bruyne got his chances, not even as a squad player, he started Jose's first season as a first team player. Started well and then had a string of bad performances, started to cry in training that he's losing confidence and wanted to leave. Sounds to me like a big fish, small pond personality. Lukaku wasn't and probably still isn't good enough to be Chelsea's first choice striker, his demands had no basis. In his case, I would have liked to see him here competing for a place but he doesn't have it in him. He was impatient and immature and now says that he wants to play for Mourinho when that chance was available to him two years ago. Signings like Salah and Cuadrado are most likely not Jose signings if you analyze the initial reaction to them. Huge difference to players he knows, calls and trusts. Emenalo or whoever is responsible for this failed. Failed, tried to cover his failure by forcing random 2m quality players that even the manager has never heard of and in the process failed again. In general a guy like Emenalo (or any other executive/director) has no right whatsoever choosing/forcing players for a Jose Mourinho team, not in terms of experience and definitely not in terms of knowledge. If that's the case, something is seriously wrong with our board and needs complete rearrangement.
  15. Definitely agree with that. Every player is supporting Jose publicly and the two most powerful figures in this dressing room are Jose's most loyal players. Mourinho, Terry, Ivanovic, these are the type of people who lift teams out of trouble and they will do it, it's only a matter of time. As for this Eva bullsh*t again, as I said before, if any player uses this pathetic excuse for poor performances he shouldn't be at Chelsea anyway as he has no pride in his profession.
  16. Matic at his best is the best DM in the world, his performances this year highlights how good he was last season that he (along with JT) was able to cover the liability playing alongside him and still perform excellently. IMO, Fabregas is not a Chelsea player, never was. I always thought he was overrated but didn't realize how limited he actually is, even when talking about the few months period he was decent in a Chelsea shirt, I remember games against Swansea and Everton where he was dominated in midfield and looked clueless to what and where he needs to be or just completely invisible. He shouldn't and couldn't start for any top team long term. What annoys me is how our actual world class midfielder in Matic, a player who can in 5 years be on the list as one of our best ever midfielders, is paying the price of not doing the job of three players. I'm not talking about yesterday specifically because that game he should have been on the pitch from the start alongside Ramires, in general, Matic deserves better than Fabregas, simple as that. He deserves a midfield partner who cares and sacrifices like him, for me that should be first priority to get the team back to the top. Jose basically hinted that he's only playing Fabregas because he thinks "he can cope with the pressure", my only hope is that we can replace him with a player who can cope and be useful at the same time.
  17. Mourinho is Chelsea, in the past we had a lot of them, we were lucky and took it for granted. We don't have a lot of them now, only a few players take it personally and truly care with Fabregas the definition of the problem with the club right now on and off the pitch. Give Jose full backing and let him surround himself with staff and players with the same attitude, he will sort it out. After all, even with this horrendous start, we're 10 points from the top. A good run of wins and we're up there. Remember Fergie's years of failures in Europe and top 4 challenges? Yeah, it happens, I'm not going to use our manager's ridiculous standards against him.
  18. We're going to dominate this, the team for me: GK Ivan -- Not Spanish -- Never played for Barca -- Never played for Arsenal Left footed -- Blonde hair Brazilian -- Not Cesc -- Belgian Not Fabregas Or: Begovic Ivan - Zouma/Cahill - JT - Azpi Ramires - Matic - Oscar Willian - Falcao - Hazard If we start a run of 5 league wins (possible with our fixtures), we can be 2-3 points from the top with the games City and Utd have.
  19. JM1 replied to domtu7's topic in General Chelsea FC
Greg Dyke is a joke and should concentrate on his corrupt organization and their on the way rules based on any agenda driven groups pretending to be offended. This is like Blatter giving people financial advice. Comical. Mourinho has every right to choose his staff. If he doesn't want Eva Carneiro and she's not doing a good job in his opinion? He's the boss, she's just another replaceable staff member, she's gone, simple.
  20. True but it gives some perspective that if we had a bad start and not historically bad, we would be up there right now, 30 league games to play with every team losing plenty of points, with the quality of mid table clubs that's probably the future for now. We're still in everything with a realistic chance at our worst and we have the person I trust the most to sort it out. Last season we broke the record for the fewest losses in a season iirc, that was pretty special, pretty much 90% of the top teams in Europe already lost 3-4 gamesby now. Better now when there's an entire season to fix than in April
  21. Only 8 points from the top in the PL, second round of the league cup and only just lost our first CL match in over a year at a tough stadium. We're in every competition. Players are making basic mistakes, all of them, stupid errors. JT not playing, his fault, Fabregas still playing, his fault and in this case, unlike with Ivan, he has proven replacements but if after a week of training sessions players are losing their man at a corner, that's their fault. There's only so much a manager can do in this situation even if he's the world's best. We'll sort it out soon. Jose had a successful third season with us the last time btw. No doubt about it, we lost two huge players and personalities, two of the best you can ever have in a club. It's natural that it had a negative effect, especially when there's no one to replace them.
  22. We played without the spine of the team, the best players in every area of the pitch, Terry, Matic and Hazard so it's not surprising. We also played a complete liability in Fabregas, you can accept bad form, misses, cards, mistakes, everything. You can't accept lack of effort, indifferent attitude. Just get him out of the team.
  23. Arsenal are a f**king disgrace, be prepared for top 3 every season if it stays this way for a few more years. I guess we just need to go and win the CL again to save the useless, embarrassment of a team again. Easy.
  24. Willian scored 3 FKs this season already, nice. Good game for Mikel, Ramires and Willian. Again, for some weird reason we're playing without our best CB and best midfielder, ridiculous.
  25. For the record, I'm not blaming the club in terms of the replacements because last season was an exception to the rule. We had two top 5 LBs and two top 5 GKs, that obviously can't continue for more than a season. Begovic is a great keeper, as good as you can get as second choice and Baba has big potential. We had the worst start in decades and we're still just 8 points from the top, in today's PL, with the added quality and money of mid table clubs, that's not a lot, let alone with 30 games to play. We're playing so below standard right now that beyond the obvious problems, it's almost pointless to analyze. A temporary situation. Let's not forget that Man Utd are probably still not good enough to go all the way and there is a major problem mentally with the core of the City team, they never won convincingly and looks like it's continuing now. The way I see it, Jose's biggest fear in football is playing with no purpose or target, he'll not let it happen, we're still in every competition.
