  1. Fabregas should never be in discussion for a captain, not only at Chelsea but for any club that wants to challenge in every competition for the simple reason that he shouldn't be a first team player for a side with that ambition. This is the same guy who showed a level of apathy and carelessness this season that I've never seen from another player in a Chelsea shirt. He's not Chelsea, never will be. If this is JT's last season, it's probably Ivanovic and Cahill, with Azpi and later Zouma in line.
  2. I think this point already happened December 2015. He has invested a lot of money and helped the club attain a different status at the top of the game, for that he deserves all the gratitude. But he is also damaging it and is probably the reason we weren't maximizing the true potential we had in crucial moments. What we currently have is another Florentino Perez with huge emphasize on the negatives and based on the new sell to buy approach, very little positive. The most successful manager in our history who just won us another double while making a profit, was fighting against 200m+ spending sprees with last minute, 2m default choices. This is the first time since he took over that he and his current miserable version of a board are alone, it basically shows how the extremely influential (and most likely irreplaceable) figures we had here during his time were papering over the cracks I have no faith in him whatsoever to turn this around, I don't think he knows how. His solution as he showed in the past is to get the latest flavor of the month in a desperate attempt to salvage some of the damage his impulsiveness caused. He surrounds himself with spineless advisers who aren't going to tell him he's wrong if their life depended on it. That situation left us with clueless favoritism in top positions. As it stands, with a Roman/Board led-Mourinho/Terry/Lampard/Drogba/Cech-less Chelsea, I see a mediocre future, a club that lacks vision and identity with an out of touch hierarchy. Aimless chase to nothing, maybe a cup here and there. There's no plan, the people at the top aren't smart enough to be patient for any kind of sustainable project and that's where the change should start. Someone said that it feels like 2003 again, I agree, only this time without the financial luxury and the excitement, because now we know what we have.
  3. Might be the day we win a league cup every couple of seasons because that's where I see our future under the current management. Especially now when we can have two ambitious forces from Manchester as competition from next season. What's the vision and direction of the club right now? It seems like we're making decisions on the spot in the hope that something works, aimlessly offering/buying players and managers, we're basically back to where we were 3 years ago, a non factor competitively with an unbalanced team. But yeah, let's concentrate on the important things, like releasing your best captain, defender and leader.
  4. The money argument is illogical, who cares if the player is 24 or 39? The fact that it's John Terry and his irreplaceable value aside, It's a ONE year contract for an important first team player that is going to make around 45-55 appearances if fit. That's just a lame justification for the horrendous decisions Roman, Emenalo, Granovskaia and the rest of the morons currently ruining everything good in the club. The owner and his board are so clueless and out of touch it's laughable, unfortunately as long as the same people are making the decisions here, I see this club going down in status every year. This time we don't have the best manager in the world or a legendary group of players to bail them out. That's what happens when you surround yourself with unqualified yes men, turned this club into a soulless circus.
  5. Keown is as stupid as he looks. One of the dumbest pundits on TV along with the Redknapp's and Savage's. I remember his articles from last season when JT was getting worldwide praise from players calling him the best CB in the world again, this guy was subtlety trying (and failing) to hide his bias by discrediting his value or praising others like saying that Cahill is now our top defender and leader or some sh*t like that. No need to take him seriously, full of obvious bitterness.
  6. Always liked Ramires, great player to have, some exceptional qualities. Always gave everything and was huge for us in plenty big moments and trophies.
  7. This is the same player who last season was arguably back to being the world's best in his position. Nothing has changed physically, nothing has changed mentally. He's still our best and has plenty left in him from what we can see. This is not a footballing decision in any way. The working process in this club, owner to board is rotten and needs complete overhaul for this club to move forward and get back to the top. The decisions we have seen this season are unbelievable, mind-bogglingly stupid. JT can still contribute to any team in the world at the highest level and once again other teams can benefit from our board's incompetence.
  8. The self destruction continues. It's almost a relief because you don't want JT associated with this period, you don't want to remember him playing to salvage the apathy of the gutless mercenaries our pathetic board assembled at this club. The same board of puppets who sent one of the biggest clowns I've ever seen at a top position in the sport to call the greatest manager this club will ever have a random individual. The same group of mediocre ex footballers and clueless businessmen that are ruining, gradually, what was built in the last 15 years. Why is anyone surprised by the treatment John Terry got here? This is Chelsea FC right now, soulless and directionless. John Terry is still our best CB, easily. John Terry is our only real leader. John Terry is the only real piece of loyalty and affection left between the fanbase and the club. This decision is nonsensical, stupid, lacks any understanding of the game, exactly what you can expect from the people running this club in the last few months. Straight from the head, impulsiveness, short-term throw and try everything in the desperate hope that something works type decisions. To the complete incompetent body. To the careless legs, who pick and choose for who and when to work properly. JT is the best captain I've ever seen, the greatest defender of his generation and an irreplaceable personality. It was the club's privilege to have one of the game's all time greats give everything for this badge. If this is really his last season in a Chelsea shirt (because even now it's hard to believe and digest the stupidity of the decisions here), at least it gives the fans an opportunity to thank him properly. I hope for him that he goes to a competitive club in Europe because he still got plenty to offer at the highest level.
  9. Both teams were lucky. We were with a few Courtois saves, they were with Matic, a few De Gea saves and two red cards for dirty Rooney and Herrera fouls. Guus is not the problem.
  10. JT was Fantastic, MOTM. Zouma, Azpi and Courtois were good, Mikel and Matic were decent. Not a bad team performance overall, not good enough from half the team which takes the credit from the good performers. Time to rearrange the attacking midfield and striker area.
  11. Classic, assured and organized JT performance tonight, best player on the pitch. Give him his contract already.
  12. Even though Woodward is pretty much a clown, at least they're actually supporting their managers there. Mourinho building his team with full control professionally means success. He wouldn't have some useless, unqualified rat sitting two rows above the bench waiting to pass misleading info with rotten agendas. Mourinho's Utd are probably winning the title next year with a few smart additions. We're probably winning our board's favorite game, "Roman's lunatic musical chairs".
  13. Not consistent, not versatile, not good enough to be the center of the team. Bench or move on.
  14. Of course, get ready it's going to be the direct fault of more individuals while we're becoming a sidekick in any title challenge like we were a few years ago. Back then we were at least a great cup team, now we have a handful of players who can actually perform under pressure so that's probably not happening. Unless Roman finally listens to Emenalo, gives him unlimited financial support to go and get us more posers and 2m default options.
  15. Mourinho is known worldwide as the most famous and charismatic manager in football, arguably in sports. He has countless of lucrative sponsorship deals on a yearly basis. That's marketability. The point about sentiment and the Wenger/Arsenal situation is true, but our Jose/Chelsea situation is not comparable in any way. We're winning the PL every other season, we're constantly in the final stages of the CL, we're winning multiple league cups, it's the complete opposite. Ambition to win every competition is fantastic, ambition to be competitive every year is great, but when it crosses the line to unreasonable expectations it turns to harming instability of the system.
  16. I would be a "spoilt entitled brat" if I demanded the same unrealistic expectations Roman Abramovich puts on his managers, that's obviously not the case as I can accept years of transition and rebuilding if it's the right direction to take the club forward. I will not blindly follow the owner of the club I supported my entire life (before and after him) when he makes horrendous mistakes and harming it in the process. Whatever he loves the club or not doesn't really matter, this is a businessman who invested huge money in his club, of course he cares about its success, not sure what's the point of any of the pictures. Nobody is discrediting the huge contribution and dedication of his investment for the growth of the club, that doesn't mean that if he leaves now the club dies. The Chelsea brand, thanks to Roman, the managers and the players who built it is strong enough to attract investors or companies to continue the process and improve it. IMO, as long as he continues with his impulsive approach (And after more than a decade in the game, he's not changing) we will never maximize the quality we have and become a super power in the game. Only need to look at a super power like Real Madrid who's owner takes the same approach and their obvious struggles despite all the resources in the world available to them. Chelsea was here before Roman, we had the best period in our history under him, Chelsea will be here after him and maybe better than ever.
  17. As long as Abramovich is in the club, Mourinho wouldn't come back. So if Roman plans to stay long term, it's not happening. I lost all trust in the working process of the club, if another person with the same financial status is interested and Roman wants to sell, I would take it right now without thinking. As long as Abramovich is here, our road is constant instability, the same reason Real Madrid are pretty much the biggest underachievers in the world if you consider their investment in the last few years. Mourinho leading this club under proper management is ideal but that's a long time from now.
  18. It is a business, and no amount of promotion and marketing is going to lead to significant growth of the brand if the on pitch product isn't successful. They made the worst business mistake they could have done, not only because Mourinho is one of the most marketable personalities in the game but because nobody provided the actual success more than him. We're in 16th place because we have a far bigger problem, an attitude problem in the core of the group that the manager identified and wanted to sort out, only to get a bunch of posers in the board pretending to know what's right or wrong for the club more than the man who just delivered big, again. What do you mean by sentiment and business? You're saying that leads to Arsenal but just described the complete opposite. As I mentioned, we had the perfect combination together, the most popular and the most successful in one person. Sentiment and Mourinho are two things that don't match. This is a man who puts himself under immense pressure to deliver big and now. I read things like "Roman brought Jose back for the fans", no, Roman brought Jose back because he's the best in his profession and matches his ambitions, he didn't do a favor to anyone. It just happens to be that this guy has a special connection with the fanbase. What starts to affect the club's success is unqualified workers in important roles and panic decisions full of personal agendas. We had an excuse in 2007, we tried to mask apparent lack of knowledge with inexperience, now? There's nothing. The owner of the club made a move to affect the club's success and failed...Again.
  19. He mentions one name, that's what seems weird to me. And I can't talk for anyone else but for me the way he plays for Chelsea is the easiest target, I don't even care that he has been terrible in almost every game this year, the majority of the team were rarely playing to their potential, it's the disgraceful, careless attitude that bothered me.
  20. Nevin replied: ‘Yeah, that was Cesc Fabregas, wasn’t it? He added: ‘I thought it came out it was Cesc Fabregas. If it was, he’d been one of the strongest and it just shows in his game. I find it hard to believe that a person as intelligent as Nevin would publicly accuse one individual for no reason, knowing the damage he can cause with his comments. Not even talking about the "rather lose than win" quote, because that can be fabricated, more about the overall attitude of players that led to this happening.
  21. For now it's all speculation but it's weird and rare to hear Nevin points the finger at one individual, there's probably something there and it's not hard to believe. Fabregas is not and never will be Chelsea, he has been an absolute disgrace on the pitch alone, without adding anything else. Easily the worst player on the pitch in 90% of the games he played. I still remember him coming on for 15 minutes against Newcastle away, carelessly giving the ball away 4-5 times and walking back to stop the counter. If I need to bet he's poisoning the dressing room the same way he does on the pitch. He's a liability anyway that should never have a starting place in a top club with ambition to win everything, he was at one, they threw him out. He belongs at Arsenal with the rest of the mentally weak bottlers. With Hazard it's different but can you really go from consistently one of the best performers in the team to the unproductive disaster he has been this season? 2 assists in 30 games or something? Not buying that which is a shame because I liked the player but he showed his true personality, he's not going to be the great he could have been, he has the talent to do it but lacks the killer instinct. He doesn't have it in him. Get rid of this group of backstabbing pieces of sh*t, unfortunately we have too many of them now to actually do it, from the players to the staff to the board.
  22. Since yesterday, we ARE in that boat forever, it's done. We had our elite yacht that just needed minor tweaks to continue to sail like a dream, instead we just decided to throw it away altogether and go back to the neglected boat we left behind. That's the sad state of things.
  23. Roman Abramovich deserves any criticism he's going to get now, after his (and his board's) actions yesterday, he brought it on himself. From an emotional, personal view, Jose Mourinho is the most popular manager we have ever had and has full support from the entire fanbase. From a cold, objective view, Jose Mourinho is the best and most successful manager we have ever had, one who added to his incredible resume just a few months ago. The disastrous decision they brought on the club yesterday is pretty much a betrayal in the club's loyal following. For a lot of people, that was the last straw and I hope to see a clear and loud statement tomorrow from the Bridge. As for Roman himself, he's a deep pocket, nothing more than that. Chelsea FC are now a world top 5 football club and one of the biggest sport brands worldwide. Roman can go tomorrow and another deep pocket takes over. For now we have a poor man's Florentino Perez leading the club right back to mediocrity, with no exceptional unit of players to bail him out from his appalling decisions and stupidity.
  24. No. JT: “Thank You doesn’t seem enough. Sad sad day. Gonna miss you Boss. The Very Best I have EVER worked with, unbelievable memories together #boss #friend #specialone #bestever @chelseafc”
  25. What kind of stupid approach is "we are Chelsea, not Jose"? We all want to see Chelsea succeed and nobody did it better than Mourinho. It was in Chelsea's best interests that our most successful ever manager is still in charge and leading the club forward. Chelsea FC in 110 years won the league title 5 times, with Jose Mourinho winning 3 of them in 5 full attempts, you expect supporters to accept this just because the owner of this club is acting like a lunatic and don't understand that you have ups and downs in the game? As history shows, Chelsea's best chance of winning is when Jose is managing this club, and this is not some Wenger situation when you have to go back 10 years to find a reasonable explanation to this argument. You go back a few months ago when we were celebrating another league and cup double under his management. Yes, we hope the Bridge is ready to give the man a proper tribute tomorrow because he deserves it more than anyone. Personally, I don't care about this game, either way we're going to find out what a bunch of gutless personalities are currently representing this club, no matter the result.
