Oh yeah he will definitely start against Hull, and more than likely start the next few games but then after that when its easily recognizable his pace just doesn't allow him to be the defender he once was the youth players will be given chance to shine.

I loved willy wonka as a kid, shame the same can't be said for those freaky umpa lumpas!! Another great gone, atleast he had a good life though!

Don't get me wrong, he was brilliant in Spain, and to be fair brilliant in his first season at Chelsea. But since then he's been average, or even below average... He does pull some cracking saves out the bag on occasion but again all comes down to consistency and thibaut doesn't seem to have that. when you watch him it's asif he's just happy taking his wage rather than playing for the shirt. Which is a shame, he's young and has serious potential, I hope we can get him to the level he should be.

I have no doubt Ivan will be dropped to the bench for the majority of the remaining season by conte, I love Ivan as a player but last year his performances were terrible and it seems his confidence hasn't returned... Looks like he will mainly be used as stand in at cup games once JT is fit

Time to forget about yesterday and have a cracker of a game score some goals and enjoy ourselves. This will be my first away game in over 9 years (mainly due to the fact I now live in hull lol) and I want to celebrate it in style!!

We're in serious need of a defensive revamp, gone from being the best defending team in Europe 2 seasons ago to one of the worst. What at were we thinking passing Cech along, yes courtois is a good keeper but the kid hasn't had a clean sheet at Chelsea in god knows how long. what happened to parking the bus??

Performing much better under Conte I'd say, his work rate his increased and his positioning for runs is 10 fold what it was last season

Seems to be going well so far barring the liverpool result, lets hope he really can get the best out of costa ALL season instead of just the first few games!

Pleasure to have joined guys! Been a chelsea supporter since being a young tot! (Ran on the pitch at 4 years old when zola scored vs Middlesbrough) growing up in the crawley and east grinstead ares, now living up in Hull since 2007! Don't really get to see my beloved blues anymore due to the travel costs etc but took my 2 year old son on a stadium tour over christmas so I'm starting him early haha :D
