You need to have made a certain number of posts before you can post in ticket thread.  Isnt a huge number, off top of y head I think it is about 15.  It is to deter touts.

Makes sense... could a Mod pin this at the top of the Tickets section for us newbies, perhaps?

I'm having same problem so will be useful for future members.

I'm having the same issue. Would be beneficial to have the forum guidelines for the ticketing section posted for new members.

It's not really for new members though. 

New members could be season ticket holders and members. I am a member myself with 46 points this season and also cannot post on ticket thread. I understand detering touts but just because people are new to the forum dosent mean everybody should all the tarred with the same brush. 

Then how would we know what brush to use on who?

What brush has tar and what brush has magical unicorn hair for those with 46 points on their membership?

Not taking the piss, serious question.

Maybe if admin would message these people privately and ask a number of questions to then decide for themselves if these people are genuine would help? Then at least the people like myself who actually attend games can post in that forum.

That would put a great strain on our mods, who have other things to do as well.

Why don't you participate in other threads in our forum, be a valuable member, instead of just signing up for the ticket threads. Win-win.

Here for the tickets, they’re only here for the tickets...

Here for the tickets because that's what we do go and watch the game and support the team. You can't blame members and st holders wanting to come on here and try and buy or sell and help others out.

Are you saying that people that post on the internet or based out of England and cannot get to many games, don't support the team?

Moan all you like, we do it to protect members as much as we can, without overloading our work on here, new members who turn up moaning that they can't buy/sell tickets will usually be banned for being rude, we haven't got time to explain the forum etiquette, but safe to say you wouldn't walk into a pub for the first time and expect to be trusted by the locals.
