September 24, 20168 yr I just want to forget our game against Arsenal. There are no positive points, with that performance we are in danger against Hull as well, I expect Conte to make changes, start with the defence. Is there any chance we will see the same lineup once again?
September 24, 20168 yr If Matic starts this match then am afraid Conte's reign is heading for a premature end.
September 24, 20168 yr If Matic starts this match then am afraid Conte's reign is heading for a premature end. He will start no question about that I think how we ended might be how we line up
September 24, 20168 yr Courtois  Alonso Terry Luiz Azpilicueta  Kante Loftus-Cheek Oscar  Moses Costa Batshayi=ui
September 24, 20168 yr Courtois Azpi Luiz Terry Alonso Kante Chalobah Fabregas Moses Costa Hazard  Drastic changes need to be made, if that doesn't happen then it's last season all over again for us. Ivanovic has to be dropped. For nearly 2 full years now he has been making the same mistakes game after game. He doesn't get tight to the wingers, he is constantly out of position, he let's wingers get crosses in, he plays blind passes into the middle of the field when he can't see a way out of defence. It's like playing with a man down or the opposition having an extra man. Matic is another that needs to be dropped. A positive start to the season but it's quickly gone all to sh*t for him. He's not improved on last season and he still looks incredibly clumsy, he can't cope under pressure, he moves like a snail, he can't use his right foot, he can't pass well, he takes forever to make a pass. He also looks very unfocused on what he is doing at times, he doesn't seem aware of his surroundings. Because he has been so bad for so long, he has this habit of trying to play too safe. If there isn't much room to pass, he avoids making it. It's like he is so afraid of making a pass because he is afraid of making a mistake which then leads to more mistakes. Cahill, far too many mistakes too often now. I don't think i have ever seen a player get caught out trying to pass back to the keeper 3 times in 4 games before. Ok, the Swansea one he was fouled, but he should learn from that. He clearly hasn't though and it's not good enough. Willian. Not good enough for us. Won player of the season last season mainly because the rest of the squad couldn't be bothered to turn up last season. He's good at one thing, bringing the ball out of defence. When you need him to contribute to the attack, he offers nothing. He can't cross, he can't finish, his set pieces are up there with the worst i have ever seen, he can't play a through ball into the strikers. He's just not a very good attacking player. I would like to see Courtois dropped too but with Begovic playing just as bad we have no choice but to keep him in the team. Moses isn't perfect but i think he would offer more than Willian or Pedro right now.  I'm sorry for the long post and it being a bit of a rant but that game against Arsenal was just shambolic and i desperately don't want us to go through what we went through last season. Â
September 24, 20168 yr Just play the defenders on their natural positions, drop Cahill for this game get JT back. Zouma is also back "soon" and we will hopefully be ok. We can't allow three defeats in a row in the league, must win game for us.
September 25, 20168 yr I can't watch Ivanovic and Cahill at the back again, it's like watching an unctrollable fire that just won't go out. Great servants, but declining with each passing minute, may as well play the bloody youth. I can't watch Eden strolling around either, he does my head in with his work rate, loses the ball and goes for a relaxing stroll and doesn't even look good in attack anymore either, things desperately need shaking up, Hull are about our level though, so at least a win is possible.
September 25, 20168 yr Crystal ball predictions for this week are:  Chelsea (4-1-4-1): Courtois; Ivanovi?, Terry (c), Luiz, Azpilicueta; Fà bregas; Willian, Kanté, Mati?, Hazard; Batshuayi Subs: Collins, Aina, Cahill, Chalobah, Mikel, Costa, Pedro  Prediction: Hull City 0-1 Chelsea (Costa)  Here's hoping for a more successful outing this time. Costa, off the bench for his second appearance in crystal ball land, wins the game here. Terry is predicted to be back, with Bradley Collins on the bench as reserve goalkeeper. Also, Fà bregas and Kanté swap positions. Go, Blues!
September 25, 20168 yr God help us. After back to back league defeats I think changes are needed, I'm praying JT is back for this one because we look lost without him which makes the decision not to hand him his 12 month contract extension sooner all the more crazy. It's tempting to say we should go 3-5-2 but I'm not sold on that system myself. Personally I would like to see us line up something like this: Courtois Dave - Luiz - JT - Alonso Moses - Fabregas - Kante - Hazard Michy B - Costa  Cahill and Ivanovic are both a complete liability at the back right now, neither deserves to be playing and getting them away from the starting line up is going to benefit everyone in my opinion. We've spent £50m odd on two defenders, their Conte's signings so let's use them. There's an acknowledgement that whatever was wrong last season is still broken and I think the back four is a big part of that. If nothing else the Arsenal game showed us that Cahill and Ivanovic's lack of calmness, control and passing ability doesn't fit with Conte's vision of playing out from the back. Willian had yet another game where he did nothing of note, played the invisible man act. Doesn't step up and try to affect the outcome of a game and is just happy to fade into the background, so I'd drop him for Moses who although isn't the most skill of players will at least press the issue and look to supply the forward line or take a run at goal. I'd like to see us try two up top, we keep playing wide but Matic, Fabregas, Willian and Hazard don't instinctively make runs into the box when the ball goes out wide, they instead loiter on the edge of the area and it leave Costa isolated and trying to find space inbetween 2/3 defenders. Chuck Michy in for a game, give us something to aim at when the ball is constantly in the wide positions and lets try and form a working partnership up top. I think we've seen enough in the brief moments Michy and Costa have played together to suggest they can form a decent partnership up top and they look more threatening in front of goal than Willian, Oscar, Matic who just aren't offering enough of a goal threat. I'll be disappointed if there aren't at least three changes to the team who started against Arsenal because that game told us once and for all that certain players aren't good enough or don't have the fight needed to be first choice in this Chelsea team.Â
September 25, 20168 yr What i'd like to see: Begovic Dave - JT - Luiz - Alonso Kante - Fabregas Willian - Hazard Costa - Michy  What we'll inevitably see: Courtois Ivanovic - JT - Luiz - Dave Kante - Matic Willian - Oscar - Hazard Costa
September 25, 20168 yr We will win this Courtois Azpilicueta - Luiz - Terry - Alonso Kante Oscar - Fabregas Pedro - Costa - Hazard  Hull 1 Chelsea 4 Costa x2, Pedro, Hazard Edited September 25, 20168 yr by pacquiao
September 25, 20168 yr Don't see any reason to change tactics on the back of yesterday, it's our tactics in the big games that needs to improve, not against the likes of Hull (with all due respect); I'm hoping for;                Eduardo        Azpi -- Luiz -- JT -- Alonso                 Kante     Willian -- Oscar -- Matic -- Hazard                Diego

That meas we are trying to limit the goals we will concede against them, right? Instead of setting up a team that will outscore them. That's the problem with Conte, I won't be surprised if he continue with, I will just be disappointed if we don't play in the champions league next season.
September 25, 20168 yr 49 minutes ago, wallosh said: Pedro has got more goals in your prediction than in his entire Chelsea career. pretty sure he was Chelsea's 2nd top scorer last season in the PL.Â
September 25, 20168 yr The issue for me is even if we smash hull so what? Liverpool just done them 5-1, doesn't really say we have improved, in a complete role reversal we are shot against bigger teams and beat lesser opponents, mind you arsenal have down that for years and always finished top 4, after the first 3 games I thought we would be contenders, right now I'm resigned to the fact it's survival as a top tier club, trust conte to throw everything at it change the system get zouma back, buy in January and somehow get top 4 then squad clear out in the summer, because this lot as a group bring each other down they are mentally weak and it runs off in each other.Â
September 25, 20168 yr The whole world and his dog can see the problems we have, Ivan, total utter dog sh.t he's guaranteed At least a goal to the opposition Magic, as above. We need 2 up front, Costa is lost alone.Â
September 25, 20168 yr No-one predicting Conte will try three at the back? He seemed to be hinting at giving it a go after last night. More than anything we need to get some confidence back into the team and stop conceding stupid goals.  Courtios Ivo         Terry    Luiz Dave                                              Alonso                           Kante Moses          Oscar                    Hazard                           Costa
September 25, 20168 yr Who knows what Conte is thinking but if JT is fit this is his chance to drop Cahill and Ivan. If he does, let's all pray that we keep a clean sheet - that way we might be on the road to a new back 4. From his post-match comments yesterday Conte knows he has to stop the bleeding - I hope he's got the cojones to take a few people out so that he can achieve that.  Â
September 25, 20168 yr Time to forget about yesterday and have a cracker of a game score some goals and enjoy ourselves. This will be my first away game in over 9 years (mainly due to the fact I now live in hull lol) and I want to celebrate it in style!!
