Same here & I thought Brana could be slotted in today as the 3rd CB - maybe Don Antonio didn't like what he saw from Brana - well one thing stood out in this match - 5 in the back = clean sheet - ok the opp wasn't up to snuff, but still the result made me smile today :)

It's not just a case of 5 at the back, wingbacks allow you to overload the midfield with an extra man, peps teams do that anyway with their fullback even when playing 2 central defenders but it's not as defensively solid, I'm a big fan of 3 at the back, it will take us time to get it right though, after the break with the addition of JT and Zouma hopefully we will do well in the next few games.

Just got back from this, absolutely buzzin. Was standing next to the home support and had some great back and forths, love me some banter. Thught Costa had an absolute stormer, everything you want from a top level striker

mate even the color commentators admitted that the CFC away fans were in fine voice & that was before the goals

My knock on Moses was his inaccurate passing. A number of passes were a meter or two wrong resulting in lost possession. Still I'll forgive that because it's his first start.

Hull were the right team to play when changing system. As well as all the points already made I'd add the team has far more energy with this line up. But we need more routes to goal.

I think Zouma has zero chance of replacing Luiz in the short term.

Alonso was quite solid. If Kante could shoot it would make such a difference, same for Matic but more so Kante.

Conte an excellent coach. Really good. An intelligent lineup today. Lots more time needed to make things gell, but we looked a competitive team today.

Lol come on mate, bit sour isn't it, we were facing a "crisis" last week, so we change formation, finally  drop Ivan which in it's self was better than sex, then we win and keep a clean sheet and while the rest of us are metaphorically high fiving each other you decide to have a whinge about our back up striker not displacing the PL's top scorer this season?

Better than sex? [emoji106]
I think that's the end of cesc and Oscar, and we can't say they have not been given chances over the years to prove themselves

So Fabregas is yet to prove himself?

3 at the back is good!  i dont see where terry will fit though?  i think zouma will replace cahill - but luiz just looks the part and has excellent ball control  and passing.  i really love the brana chop - though over a year late.  And Diego - i have no comment

Sorry to be  downer but while pleased with the 3 points, not as much so with the performance.  It was a Hull side who threatened very little, so while the clean sheet is fantastic I don't know if the defence really has improved much. Will need sterner tests to tell but nice nt to concede  The team still lacks a spark going forward and the goals were great individual finishes (and one needing a lucky bounce to the shooter) rather than good team attacking.  I also worry at what seems to be great hesitancy by Conte to change it up until very late.  Maybe I'm just missing part of his genius but it's grown to be a concern of mine.

Anyways happy with the 3 points and some of the players performances.  Was hoping to see Chabolah get on sooner but glad he got on at all........and I f**king hate international football breaks.

Holy sh*t... if it's not jose mourinho, you can actually be pretty accurate in your game's review..

I didn't want to comment until after the Spurs match.

We are thrown a reasonable lifeline from which to re-stage our challenge.

We were good against a lower standing team, but Spurs were excellent against the current league leaders. Well done to them. It was deserving and I only wish we could be as good as they were once again.

Poor first half, the second half was excellent. The 3-4-3 perhaps can work against the likes of Hull, can't tell how it would play out against the top sides. Still after the break we have Zouma and JT back so maybe a back three with JT, Zouma and Luiz with Cesar and Alonso as wing backs? Moses really impressed me so i think he will remain at the right wing back and someone of the back three will be dropped.

I think The Happy One is a much more reliable *defender* than Sideshow. As much as I like him, but he's just not a very solid central defender.

I agree with that. We have a way to go to get to spurs level. It can be done though. I think we do have the squad.

can't you at least worded it in another way? it's 'disturbing'..
