  1. Scolari gave Kaka his initial chance with Brazil ( or so i hear) so i hold out some hope that Di santo atleast will get a couple of apps this season
  2. I wouldn't and untill we get a manager worthy of a club our size and with an ability to employ total football i think we should shelve any ideas of world domination (evil laugh) as it just wont happen under grant. Every1 hates him. would you work your ass off for a boss u hate if ur getting paid anyway??
  3. i agree completley and i can understand his point of view. I was just thinking of if this was said by a better player. we would be in serious trouble and for it to come out just as preperations are starting for next seasons squad i think it could hit us hard. If i was a pro footballer and i had Milan, Barca, Utd or Arse knocking on the door along with chelsea one of my key considerations would be the manager and their tactics/ability and i think Chelsea would be bottom of that pile
  4. I think that if you want to be known as playing charismatic and adventurous football then you need a charismatic and adventurous manager. People don’t only look at the players on the pitch and work out what style of football they play but they also look at the manager. Especially as Roman wants Chelsea to be a global name and I can’t see the whole world watching Chelsea matches regularly so they will have to base their opinions on word of mouth and image. I personally am worried not only by avram managing the team but by him apparently being the senior buyer for the club. Not that I don’t like avram. He has done a very good job this season. Who would of thought that we would be anywhere near the position we are in when Jose left. I'd like to see Hiddink or Rijkard come in as manager and for avram to go completely. I think that they will have more knowledge of how to play the "total football" style that roman (and I) so desperately wants. He said himself that he and roman aren't friends anymore because roman is now his boss. I know this will probably get ripped into but hey ho it’s my opinion.
  5. off of the bbc sport website: "Ben Sahar, Sahar He came to us from afar He's better than Louis Saha Ben Sahar, Sahar." Sung by Sheffield Wednesday fans to loan signing Ben Sahar. (Molly, Doncaster). looks like they like him up there
  6. what the reserves bench??
  7. I Know its only the Daily Mail but they had a big feature on avram and what sort of player he wants to buy and he's apparently ruled out buying Ronnie and Modric. It said that he wanted to find the next Messi/Kaka and that he would be focussing on South American style players. Lulinha, Kerlon, Renato Augusto anybody?? there were rumors linking us to them a while ago.
  8. any news at all?? this was supposed to be all sewn up in december
  9. for 3 mill Euros. Now thats a good price
  10. Drogba is by far the most disapointing. There is wanting to leave and then there is taking the p**s. Just shut up and go out gracefuly
  11. Sorry i meant that i didn't believe that from the view of pato Morinhio didn't realy like youngsters. if he took a look at the two teams to see who gave youngsters a chance we got nill and milan got about 3. Couple that with their few brazilians and the fact that south americans prefer italy and spain to england and its a no brainer. Probably didn't help with all the rumors of Jose going
  12. Agreed however i cant see a big time charlie wanting to move mid season. this will either colapse or we will be in for a young un i reckon. However i may be made to eat my words.
  13. it just is probably because of the shortage of it. However Rooney was neither the finished article nor the best option when Man U spent a similar figure. I think we should invest in the feuture. at the end of the day it could be £2mill a year plus wages if he stays forever. thats an absolute bargin in my view (althoug it is alot of money)
  14. The choices are = Barcelona Squad List Goalkeeper: 1 Victor Valdes 25 Albert Jorquera 28 Olazabal Defender: 11 Gianluca Zambrotta 16 Sylvinho 21 Lilian Thuram 22 Eric Abidal 23 Oleguer 29 Valiente 3 Gabriel Milito 4 Rafael Marquez 5 Carles Puyol Midfielder: 15 Edmilson 20 Deco 24 Yaya Toure 6 Xavi 8 Andres Iniesta Striker: 10 Ronaldinho 14 Thierry Henry 17 Giovani Dos Santos 18 Santiago Ezquerro 19 Leo Messi 27 Bojan Krkic 7 Eidur Gudjohnsen 9 Samuel Eto'o I'd like Bojan, Dos Santos or for Eidur to come home
  15. I like it. its propper retro. better than the current shirt and the away shirts of recent years. especialy yellow of this year and the white with blue sick down the middle. also i dont like the coller less shirts. i want another light blue away shirt next year. 2seasons agos was realy nice.
  16. I agree with qaz. I also think that Jose didn't realy like young players all that much. we would never sign a pato, kerlon or Renato Augusto with him in charge. they are too unpredictable and risky

Have you seen his chewing gum trick?? It was on the nike skills adverts from about a year ago. he also did it in a wharm up. If i remember rightly he does about 6-8 keepy uppies then volly's it of. with chewing gum. Oh i wish we could get him. perfect replacement for the drogster
  18. I think he has played well recently and is progressing well in each game. If the rumors are to be believed and we are to get Van Der Vart and Anelka then i think they would play well with him and provide the survice and support that he needs. Joe and Kalou didn't help him out at all. sheva's workrate was brilliant and his pressure on a few defenders in seamingly comfortable positions led to some good chances. he should of had 2 goals last night baring an outstanding block by lampard to deny him.
  19. Chelsea have won the race to sign Argentine hot-shot Franco Di Santo. The Blues have agreed a deal worth $7million (£3.4million) with his club - Chilean outfit Audax Italiano, and the 18-year-old will move when the transfer windown opens in January. Di Santo started his career in the youth side of Godoy Cruz de Mendoza - but he then opted to switch to Chile and he has since flourished with Audax. From 35 starts he has bagged 13 goals in less than two seasons, and has also shone for Argentina's youth sides after he opted to play for the country of his birth rather than Chile - who also wanted him. Now Chelsea have beaten a host of clubs from around Europe - to seal a deal for Di Santo - who is free to move to England as he holds an Italian passport. Interest Indeed Chelsea are understood to have held off competition from nine rival Premier League clubs - including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal - who all expressed an interest. "Everything is nearly agreed, there are only a few details to be resolved but there will not be any problems," Audax president Valentin Cantergiani confirmed. "We only have to agree the fee that Audax will receive if Di Santo is transferred again in the future and that's all. All the rest has been arranged. "We are exchanging the last documents." Cantergiani admitted that Chelsea have been very good to deal with. "Chelsea has been more than a year following Franco and all the negotiations have been all the time very polite. "They want to add him their squad when the transfer window opens in January. As Franco holds an Italian passport he can be at once part of their team." Happy The player expressed his delight at the impending move to West London. "My agent told me not to talk about this, but the truth is I won't go on playing at Audax," he admitted. "Playing at Chelsea would be very nice. It would be fantastic." (Sky Sports) Looks pretty good. had a quick scout around some sites and they seem to think he's the 'New Maradona'. The 25th one i know. also there are a few clips on youtube and he looks skillfull. we shall see
