rayc reacted to Carshalton Blue in Vintage Blues pictures and filmRemember this game like it was yesterday, i was 16/17 & was in the shed, my Arsenal mate went in their end, few Gooner firm got slapped in the west stand, a mate of a mate got nicked for chinning one even though he had a stewards jacket on & was his first day as a steward, after the game we came out & just by the west entrance was a firm of Arsenal all their black lads, what stood out for me was just how many were wearing those small leather Calvary type caps, the roar went up & Chelsea ran at them, bit of fisticuffs before they got run, met my mate later on who said he was buzzing walking out with 1,000s of Arsenal on the fulham road, he thought they'd taken the piss but i said leave it out you got held back & then escorted to the tube when it was safe.
Colin West scored our winner.
ps cant wait for this to turn up on twitter(not that i mind by the way)

rayc reacted to Garrison in What period was our mob at its peakWe had arranged with Bomber & Tiny come with us, as West Ham were gonna be with The Charlton, but they didn't show at the station, so we went in and cleared the end, then Wall turned up, and we all started celebrating. But the Shed down the other end must have thought we were being attacked by West Ham, as they came across the pitch, and steamed into Wall, we tried to stop them, but it was too late. The Fog of War had reared it's head. It weren't Wall's fault, or the Shed's, as they weren't to know we'd invited Wall to come with us.

rayc reacted to Mike Carefree in Vintage Blues pictures and filmOne not so nice fact about the pic above where i stood for the first time is...I was 12...I was hanging over the metal looking down at the fans slowly coming in and up the stairs to the t bar area....I was bored as i was, and i would be for that year,in as soon as the turntiles opened and liked to lose myself in the space that was cfc. I remember doing the most rediculous thing of dropping a small spit to see who i could hit on the head from above.....Yep.. Sorry to anyone i may have hit

rayc reacted to Garrison in What period was our mob at its peakOn the week before the game we went around the Shed telling people to go to Liverpool, then on the train, we told all the Shed we were going in the away end. Outside we told them to keep quite, as there might be some Everton in there, but a few of them sussed we were going into the Kop. We got in on the left side as you look out to the pitch, we started singing "We're The North Stand" and steamed in, the fighting last three or four minutes, and they came from all side, but as there were around 500 of us, they couldn't move us. Then the Scouse al pulled back and started clapping, and to this day I don't know whether it was because they couldn't move us, or because the filth were moving in, in numbers. They put a cordon around us, and there we stayed for the whole game. in my book that's taking their end!

rayc reacted to Carshalton Blue in Vintage Blues pictures and filmEverything that is wrong with modern day football, muggy pricks stood on a street singing & filming behind old bill lines, they've probably watched sh*t films like Green Street, bought a Stone Island jacket & think their now part of the firm, pathetic.
Why not go off the main drag where plenty of Chelsea were willing & waiting to get their hands dirty, its quite clear obviously why, because the pricks wouldnt know an off it came over & hit them on the head.

rayc reacted to JM1 in Jose Mourinho threadFor now it's all speculation but it's weird and rare to hear Nevin points the finger at one individual, there's probably something there and it's not hard to believe. Fabregas is not and never will be Chelsea, he has been an absolute disgrace on the pitch alone, without adding anything else. Easily the worst player on the pitch in 90% of the games he played. I still remember him coming on for 15 minutes against Newcastle away, carelessly giving the ball away 4-5 times and walking back to stop the counter. If I need to bet he's poisoning the dressing room the same way he does on the pitch. He's a liability anyway that should never have a starting place in a top club with ambition to win everything, he was at one, they threw him out. He belongs at Arsenal with the rest of the mentally weak bottlers.
With Hazard it's different but can you really go from consistently one of the best performers in the team to the unproductive disaster he has been this season? 2 assists in 30 games or something? Not buying that which is a shame because I liked the player but he showed his true personality, he's not going to be the great he could have been, he has the talent to do it but lacks the killer instinct. He doesn't have it in him.
Get rid of this group of backstabbing pieces of sh*t, unfortunately we have too many of them now to actually do it, from the players to the staff to the board.

rayc reacted to Jezz in Jose Mourinho threadAssuming Guardiola wanted to buy ten players if he became manager then doesn't that vindicate Jose's position that we needed to refresh the squad during the summer transfer window hence making those higher up in charge look more incompetent for not backing him with funds but most importantly realising that Jose's hands were somewhat tied this season due to the staleness of the playing squad.
I don't care who replaces him because whether it's Guardiola or someone else they won't live up to Roman and the board's unrealistic expectations and they'll be gone within a year or two (three years max) so there's no point being emotionally invested about it and we'll keep going around in circles again and again. This was the club's one chance of stability and they f**king blew it away in a heartbeat!
The fact that they sacked Jose so brutally (not once, but twice) speaks volumes as to why I'll never fully back or support this administration that contains incompetent people and those who tow the company line like Emenalo did yesterday.

rayc reacted to Nibs in Jose Mourinho threadThanks for the memories Jose. The good ones that is which thankfully far outweigh the bad.
It seems we cannot help being a bit of a car-crash of a club, but we are one of many and despite who comes and goes, there will always be Chelsea FC.
CAREFREE.

rayc reacted to JM1 in Jose Mourinho threadThank you Roman for proving you're still a clueless, impulsive owner that would never sustain stability in any level. Done for me at this point, he's nothing more than a dollar sign now, him and his pathetic board.
A complete disgrace of a decision, we lost our greatest ever, this time? Forever. And no, no mentally strong unit to carry us through it. We lost Mourinho because of a bunch of spineless cowards who couldn't cope with any sort of pressure.
You know what happens now right? We're going to go through mediocrity with occasional greatness while Jose Mourinho continues to win at the highest level. Even better, you know what happens if he stays in the PL? He comes back and beats us, again and again and win titles. Remember this is a manager with 50% success at winning PL titles, what we have is a group who never won without him.
Thank you Jose, for every time you were happy like us, for every time you were sad like us, for every time you cared like us, unlike them. The best.

rayc reacted to bazzablue in Vintage Blues pictures and filmAlmost brought a tear to my eye seeing the old souvenir shop. I bought so much stuff there especially as a kid. Mind you the last thing i remember buying there was a video of the 88-89 season which was in a plain white video box and wrapped in a brown paper bag. I was getting so many dodgy looks on the tube home i stuffed it into my jacket.
