JC10 got a reaction from MKBlue in Chelsea Together“The Holocaust showed the world what can happen when hatred is allowed to thrive unchecked,” the participants say in the 52-second video. Together Chelsea FC and the World Jewish Congress are working together to say no to antisemitism and to giving a red card to hate.
“We must make it clear that there is no place for religious, ethnic, or national-based hate both on and off the pitch. That is why we support the We Remember campaign for International Holocaust Remembrance Day. And you should too.
“If we all learn from our past, we can build a better future for all. Together, we remember.”

JC10 reacted to CFCCAN in Who’s next after Sarri? And then they'll change it, change the formation, change the players......this club has lost its identity much like Man U did in their last 3 appointed managers, now that they have an ex player in charge who knows what the culture and style of the club is recognized for and he and the players are thriving. I'm sure if you brought Frank, JT and Jody back along with Carlo we would see the our culture and identity return; solid in defence, tough in midfield and strong arming defenders up front; instead we have this flopping around on pitch, shrugging of shoulders when they lose the ball, and no heart to make a crunching tackle when required instead we have this tippy tappy back passing, sideways crap with no end product in sight and a manager who is entrenched and stubborn in his ways.....blow the squad up and start afresh bar a few players who give a f**k about this club. I for one would gladly suffer a season or two finishing mid table as we develop...although I doubt Roman would.

JC10 reacted to Skinnedy in Who’s next after Sarri? The theory behind it is to get your three best attacking players on the field at once.
But you're seeing the results... And there are several reasons.
1. Willian isn't a good attacking player. He's wasted in a front three. Historically he is terrific at dribbling out of traffic, tracking back, and linking up in the midfield. Higher up the pitch, his weaknesses are exposed.
2. Hazard is more effective out wide. He has the freedom to drift, but when he drops back and starts running at the defense, there is no center forward to play off of, because he's the center forward and he's vacated that spot.
So now you've weakened the left wing by moving Hazard and vacated the center forward position.
3. Pedro is physically limited. I love his effort. I think he is a good finisher, but he's easily bullied off the ball and isn't a threat in the air. He's quick, but not fast.
Arsenal could press... Rest.. Press again. As they sat back and caught their breath, they could watch chelsea pass the ball around the permiter.
Add that to the fact that there were 3 goals from the entire midfield (all from the guy who can't go forward), and unfortunately, the result is predictable.
There will be one offs, but counting on goals from Kante and Luiz in every game is a recipe for a lot of goalless games.
A proper striker immediately improves 2 positions in the front three as Hazard shifts back to the left.
A more physically gifted, direct player like Hudson-Odoi improves the third.
There's no future with Willian and Pedro. They're the two oldest wingers in the EPL. I understand that Sarri wants to get the system right, but where's the upside with 2 guys on the wings who are on the wrong side of 30?
Arsenal can't defend, Wolves gave up 4 yesterday. The attack really can't get any worse. And relieving some pressure on the back would actually improve what is a pretty solid defensive group.

JC10 got a reaction from luckywerthers in Who’s next after Sarri?I think it has something to do with Giroud being a target man, he's good when we launch diagonals into him in the box, but when he's asked to come deep to receive the ball he's slow as f***. The false 9 is (apparently) supposed to drop deep to receive the ball, but it needs a player with high mobility, which Hazard has, but maybe not the tactical discipline to work the opponent's defensive line (it isn't his natural position, IMHO). Or something like that. Hopefully that's where Higuain comes into the equation. Giroud suited France because they played with a target man up front, with Griezmann just behind him.

JC10 reacted to WhiteWall in Maurizio Sarri Officially AppointedAgreed.
I have a familiar feeling how this will play out with our gutless board, but it would be so refreshing if they stood by the manager and we trusted him to change our path, if that is what they believe, which by employing him should have been a statement of their belief. Let's not forget when the board appointed Conte it was because the team were deemed to be mentally fragile and high maintenance and it needed a strong disciplinarian to work their bollox off. He came in, they ran like trojans and we won the league. It then slipped back, he bombed off Costa for his attitude and the board completely bottled it by not supporting him.
If, as we believe, or have been led to believe, this man is capable of creating greatness then let's back him. If it means fcking off the prima donnas and he collects together a group of players slightly below the A-list as well as some youngsters and he creates superstars, I for one would be made up.
Much as i can't stand the scouse i would give my eye teeth to have a Robertson story at our club, rather than the high priced prima donnas who aren't up to the pace or physicalities of our league anyway.
Still, as mentality weak as the players may be, i suspect that Sarri's is a lonely voice at the club as recent history has proven that the board similarly has very few, if any, mentally strong people who are willing to publicly back the managers that they appoint.
