I think our over reliance on high crosses is the biggest reason for our current situation. Teams can bank on that is how we will attack them and set up to defend. When Werner and Pulisic are in the line up, it does not play to their strengths. We have had weeks to sort this out and yet we keep going this route to attack.

Dayot looked great last year. Does not look like the same player this year.

Looking at how the table is shaping up this week, this game makes me nervous. If we don't get three points from this, we are a mid table team that has no contact with the top. The top 4 will start moving far enough up from us we will need too many teams to tank for us to get there. Clutch game and to this point in the season, we have been very disappointing in clutch games.

Grant seems to be an odd choice given the players didn't really respect him back when he was the manager.

I think this is to make sure we have an interim manager if things do not turn around. I wonder how Frank reads this. I could not imagine this is something he views as a positive. Also interesting how the players would look at it. All, of course if it is true.

It is nice to have three wingers that all deserve to start. With the fixtures so close together, I hope we have a rotation set up to use all three to keep them healthy.

If Man City can take care of business tomorrow we will be 5 points ahead of the chasing teams, if we win. They are all so bunched up at 43, there is no room for losing. With almost all of our starting 9 injured, it is going to be a tough ask to keep staying ahead. If we do, Lampard should get a lot of credit.

I played soccer as a child. My son played as high of a level of youth soccer as is available here. The club he played for was sponsored by Chelsea. That is what brought both of our loyalties to Chelsea. I want to see Pulisic succeed and followed Dortmund while he was there. I still think he has some aspects of his game that need to improve and I think Lampard and his coaching staff can help to make him more aggressive. My favorite players on the team are Kante for his abilities and backstory and Giroud for his level of play over the years. I really like Tammy, I hope he finds more consistency, he has so much potential. We are coming to London in June and have tickets to England vs Croatia. I am in a bit of a panic that the match will be played with Covid19 ramping up. We paid stupid money for the tickets and don't know if we will get it back if the games are canceled or no admission for ticket holders. Like everyone else the roller coaster ride this year has been entertaining and depressing.

There were reports that Real Madrid wanted him for the 40M but Porto would not sell him in January. You never know how much truth are in these transfer articles.
