no rumour so I’m a bit naughty starting a thread but this guy really does look like the sort of central defender that would fit in really well at Chelsea and lift the team.

He has been brilliant, very good ball playing CB.

The guy is purring..he seems to have it all. Seeing as a lot of teams around europe have looked at him, im surprised we havent been more closely linked. Hopefully Frank and Cech are watching this game closely.

Saying that though im certain we know all about him, and possibly we havent thought he will come in and improve the team, but on todays performance he definately looks special.

Just signed a new contract but supposedly has buyout of 50m next summer. Possibly worth spending now for next summer and get someone cheap  like Thiago Silva on a free for a season to cover.

Im pretty sure we were linked with him last summer or in january... Definitely looks the part and still quite young.

Haha I knew someone would have started a topic on this guy, logged on just to see.  We’re all desperate for a centre back.  He looks impressive though, surprised to see he’s only 21.

He is really impressive, buy him now, he could be like a VVD, he is the most impressive Centre half i've seen in ages, Essien in Defence Mk2 Bison

Really impressive tonight but lets see how he does against PSG before we get too excited.

didnt watvh the game today, but ive seen him about 10 times this after we were linked with werner, and whilst he is great at times, especially when he brings the ball forward and starts attacks, he is still very inconsistent and has a mistake or 3 in him. 

He has just extended his contract, so maybe next summer would be a better time to bring him in, as he will be more polished. 

Right now im not sure he would be the ideal player to come in, i wouldnt be against it, but it would be a big ask for him to marshall this defence in a new league at 20. 

He's top drawer and anyone watching that tonight could see his quality. Guys strong, fast and commanding. He's got it all and whoever ends up with him has a star. 

Looks like we should prioritize his signing.

He's been by far the best player out on the pitch tonight, closing down Atletico's attackers every single time (especially Diego).

Can't really see Leipzig selling him this summer, in this particular system he's too important for them.

He is absolutely going to be a star of the future but he's not what we need right now.

It would be a huge ask to expect him to come in and command/fix a defence. Almost every U23 CB coming into a big club over the last few years has struggled and been publicly crucified. The best thing he could do is stay at Leipzig until he can move to club alongside an experienced CB.

I think the best we could realistically expect is onana or pope for goalkeeper ~£30m.

1 decent centre back which could be Rice ~£60m.

a left back, likely Chilwell £50m.

Havertz to complete attack ~£75m.

So around another £200m, with at least half recouped through sales.
