Our defenders aren't on any crazy wages, it should be okay to sell them. Zouma has been wanted by a couple clubs like Spurs and Everton. Alonso and Emerson are both wanted players by Inter and Juve.

Rudiger's probably a hard one to sell, but no issue with just demoting him to the bench,

Get more of a vibe on this guy when we see how Leipzig go against Neymar and mbappe. Neymar can tear most defenders apart 1:1 or even one on two.

Definitely will be a good game to watch, if he manages to have a blinder of a game then I have no doubt that we should go in for him

The Sun is just Sh!t and that last article is from the 6th May, since then he's signed a new contract.  Heres a more recent one from the same website.  If you believe any of that we'd still have to wait til next season.

Maybe go try and read up on his new contract, specifically the bit about any release clause not kicking in until next season.

His release clause was €65m, and he only had 12 months left on his contract, but he has now signed an extension, and his new release clause us €40m but it doesnt come into place until next summer. 

Maybe we could tempt leipzig with a bigger offer to get him now, but we didnt fancy paying €65m a month ago, so i doubt we will offer near that now, and realistically, Leipzig may aswell.just keep him for a season, and miss out on €10-15m.

If he has a good season, we could be in a great position to attract him here with werner and Ampadu, and he will be a bargain next summer.

On tonight's showing, he's still got a way to go to be top class, although in 3-4 years you would expect him to be one of the world's best. He isn't going to learn by trying to lead more senior defenders at Chelsea, however. He really needs to be paired with another top-class CB for a few years to learn the ropes. He was all at sea for many of PSG's chances and did a great Rudiger/Emerson impression for the 3rd goal by marking the empty air. One concern I have is his lack of acceleration (vs raw pace); he appears slow to react and get moving, which is a hindrance at this level of the game. He compensates well at the moment because of his raw pace that allows him to catch most players over a distance, but in football it is quickness over the first 5-10 yards that makes the biggest difference.

Great player but he isn't what we need right now. If he continues to shine and we are able to land a more experienced CB this season, he would make for an awesome transfer next year.

Hence why we may well struggle to generate funds to pay for new players. The club have already said player sales are needed to generate funds
