  1. How the hell did we get here though! We had what seemed a fk load of options and attacking players to choose from. Neto...i get, suspended. When did felix and lavia get injured though? I know lavia got a knock to the head, i saw the cut. But hamstring thingy was a precaution only. Felix was doing soo well in his last match. The difference in his pressing between his last match and every other match was light and day! Nkunku? I feel like I've missed a few days somewhere...lol
  2. Yep with Argo on this. I think most remember how great he was, I do. But no one knows how great he is now, I'm sry mate, but not even you bud (unless you've seen some secret footage we haven't seen...lol). You dating someone from there that's leaking info? She hot? She got a sister? Move that discussion to pm, but carrying on...lol The tactics have moved on a bit from then and all our lot according to the manager are "versatile", thats the keyword and i sort of get it. Personally if we didn't have any left wingers I'd be pissy if maresca didn't try him there as I think he can make a case for himself but as LBs go, it's cucu then veiga on the bench. Veiga is not as good as chilly at LB but he's more versatile than chilly. That word again, lol But like everyone else that says why isn't this guy playing or on the team sheet at least. We can only have x number of players on the pitch and y on the bench. The ones on the bench need to be a mix of versatile players unless he has a crystal ball and knows exactly who's going to get injured, sent off, etc or who's needed for a change in tactics. If Chilly is indeed not able to invert, understand the tactics, or keep up* then I'm sorry mate, he shouldn't even be on the bench like maresca said at the start of the season. *that's my theory. I think with injury and age, he's slowing down and maybe one of the many reasons his time at the club is limited, along with wages, age, etc...
  3. Fk, didn't know about lavia or felix. Neto is a loss but add those 2 as well! The rest need to step up tmrw...
  4. He should never be allowed to leave the spuds... Postecoglou to 'double down' on Spurs approach https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crl3dl62r0no
  5. I think that's down to levy though to an extent. All I hear is spuds fans moaning they have no money because the owners take the lions share or only believe in fixed assets like the stadium and won't risk money on players and stuff. That just doesn't sound like our owners from what we know/read so far. I truly believe our owners can do better in rgds to income from let's say an 80,000 seater at the Earls Court site compared to the spuds stadium in "norf" london imho. I also have this feeling its not much of an improvement to renovate the bridge for 60k ppl and expect to make the same profits that the 80k stadium and "village" will make. Although I do love the look of the "cathedral" plans more than the Earls Court village plans that I've seen so far. Just looks more aesthetically pleasing compared to the "village". My head, logic, business mind, etc. says Earls Court is the way to go, no question, but my heart cries for the bridge. Its a hard one tbh. The only way I can find a compromise is if we still keep the bridge and it becomes the home of Chelsea women's club. Especially now they are a separate entity from the mens. Maybe they are biding their time for the women's game to grow even more before buying the bridge from the men's team. To justify all the financial legalities, etc...or to make an argument towards that direction. 🤷‍♂️ *I'm deliberately leaving out all the other stuff from our side like will the CPO allow any of this or that. Thats a whole other matter. But a home for the womens team like the bridge will help with all that stuff, as it keeps it still Chels. But thats a whole different post.
  6. It's unfortunate, I like chilly but it's the same as chucky, he was told he won't be getting any playing time. Maybe he wants out of footy and is just staying to receive a paycheck. Or maybe hes looking to move on but no one came knocking so far...or maybe he's injured again. Tbh, imo, that's really upto him, he's done quite a bit for the club and hold nothing against him. I'm sure one of the other clubs will go for him in the summer...if he has a decent price tag. Owners took a cut on Gallagher, I'm sure they won't stand in chillys way if he wants to go Last few transfer windows have been tough for everyone though. Every club was watching the pennies in and out. Wish him well, wherever he goes...
  7. Oooooo....I know I shouldn't laugh but 🤣🤣🤣
  8. I don't think any of us can be too critical with what we saw today. The sub zero temperatures alone was enough to just wish the game was over with no injuries and fk the score! Did the guy just say -20! Nitpicking and sh*t though... I picked guiu for my motm because he looked like he put more effort than the others and obviously the 2 goals...but I really like rak-sakyi, Acheampong, and Ampah. Don't think Vale got enough time to warrant too much praise but I liked a few of his touches too. Not happy with chucky and George though, I expected more but again, it was fkn freezing so don't care tbh. No injuries and a win means it was a good match and well done kids.

  10. They said when the game started it was -11 with the temp dropping fast into the night as the game went on! Part of me thinks Enzo (and the first team staff), Neto, tosin, disasi, and veiga should have actually stayed at home and just sent the under 21s and their coaches. But I get we needed to win the game. Even though my house is at a very cosy temp atm, I needed a blanket while watching that on the sofa and now I switched it off, I've realised I'm sweating! Looks like I'll be getting another cold/virus soon.
  11. I think the underpitch heating is buggered at one of the corners. You can see lines of ice in rows from the touchline to the box. The right corner when chelsea is attacking. *Edit: or maybe its just not powerful enough to deal with cold.
  12. I'm really excited for the even younger kids to show what they have...not the ideal conditions to show off, I'm cold just thinking about it. Yeah, whole family had it, and I've still got the cough which doesn't go for a while afterwards.
  13. ? They were all wearing pink, lol, right!? Oh jeez, have my eyes gone!? I was working while watching that vid but I'll watch it again. They split into 2 distinct grps. One with palmer, sancho, cucu... The other had nkunku and a lot of the kids (faces I didn't recognise...). They started to remove their head gear towards the end and I finally saw their faces. I'm going to watch it again now...my mind has played these tricks on me before while multitasking.
  14. This is the biggie I'm waiting for... I have no idea which way it goes, or what's going to happen, etc. It's the subject I'm constantly searching for online. I know it's sad right...lol
  15. Tbh, I have long term (15yr) investments via my bank that I can't touch till after its over and when they finished the first time I renewed then for another 15. I think it's similar with those investors. They know its a long term deal but if they are going to nearly double their money or get a decent return in that time, why wouldn't they reinvest again for another 10yrs let's say. Maybe after the initial 10 yrs they will open it up to other investors too. But either way they need to make sure its successful and very attractive to invest in... Personally, I'm not worried about any of that from the owners. Investments, financial side of things, etc... The only thing that worries about the owners or board, etc...is IF they get involved with the footy side again! Big IF though, because I hope that time has come and gone now that they have placed a footy structure in place. Especially no impulse buys by them pls.
  16. He does good against a low block. Neto and noni are more about the speed.
  17. From all the vids on youtube and the post match stuff, it looks like him and Palmer are becoming close mates.
  18. Was watching this, around the 4:10 Mark, you can see 2 different groups. No idea if that shows for definite who's staying and who's going...I can't tell who's who with a lot of them, especially as you can barely see some of their faces.
  19. Tbh, I was sad for him. I'm in the same grp as you, he hid his face not to show his tears, I wanted the cameraman to leave him in peace, and a lot of ppl tried to console him but he pushed them away...all I can read from that is him being upset he didn't perform not that he's a petulant kid or anything like that. We all deal with things differently, and by extension we may not understand why someone else is acting differently in the same situation. Imo, I'm in the grp that sees him as genuinely being upset from it all. Also, 20 yr olds (23), if they shed a tear it isn't the same as a grown up, not from my experience, they will hide their face, go somewhere else, etc...
  20. Beeb: The Premier League has allowed Chelsea to have a late kick-off time on Sunday because of the trip, which is why the Brentford game will kick off at 19:00 GMT.
  21. Beeb: Chelsea have added youngsters Josh Acheampong, Ato Ampah, Harrison McMahon, Kaiden Wilson, Richard Olise (brother of Michael), and Harrison Murray-Campbell to their Conference League squad to play Astana in Kazakhstan. Tyrique George, Kiano Dyer, Sam Rak-Sakyi and Shim Mheuka were already included. It is part of an effort from Chelsea to manage their workload. Enzo Maresca's squad face an eight-hour flight, and will play Thursday's tie in a time zone that is five hours ahead and at temperatures that are forecasted to be as low as minus 11.
  22. Isn't he more of a #10 though. Kdh has been playing a #8 and casadei is a #6
  23. Yep, all those arguments have gone out the window in a way so they have to come up with the drama using a different narrative. It will definitely be player sales, unhappy, etc. I can't think of anything else atm that they can blow up. Let's see what happens in the January window, maybe they are waiting for our owners to give them some ammo. 🤷‍♂️
  24. 100% I really love where we are atm, especially after doing what no one else has done before. We are way ahead of schedule too. I'll use arteta as they have been the most recent title challengers after an overhaul. Their overhaul was extremely basic compared to ours. A new manager, some staff and slowly replacing players over 3 or 4 yrs. Ours was a new everything! From owners to kit men (I think), I even read some canteen/nutritional experts were replaced! And I posted this before, I really doubt it will take us 5yrs to be where arsenal are now (constantly challenging or being referred to as title contenders). There will still be a few dips and low points in our journey, its not only inevitable but it's part of the journey. You can't build a winning team if they haven't experienced defeat or hardship. It will happen. But I love where we are atm. We have a very good squad and with a couple of tweeks, a squad that can be challenging for years to come when they are ready. Year/season 4 is when the owners said we will see the progress and our first steps of becoming title challengers. Yet the media is forcing that narrative now (season/year 3). It just shows we are on the right track and ahead of schedule as maresca has been saying. I am surprised we didn't hear about RM/PSG last year for Cole, tbh. Wait a bit, this summer it will be most of our team in the news, lol. The media already have drafts written to create drama for chels in the transfer market. There is no way they won't focus on us during the transfer windows. Absolutely no fkn way...especially as they have sort of acknowledged that this crazy "experiment" by the owners may/will work! Buckle up guys, just remember the media wants to cause disruption and drama, that's their job, don't fall for it!
  25. I'm with you lot now. At first I thought send in the b team with a couple of "select" subs and the rest from the development squad. It would keep the momentum going. Now though I'm more worried about injuries and would do the opposite. Mostly development squad members under 21 and a few "game changers" from the main squad tagging along as subs, players that can travel well and don't mind going. Just in case we need them.
