  1. Gusto was fantastic. Such a dynamic player. Gusto and Cucurella should be inverting. They are both mobile enough to reposition quickly when a turnover happens. Reece at RCB is the right way to go even though it negates his crossing. It improves our build up play a lot because he is so calm on the ball. I am also hoping it will help him stay injury free if he doesn't have to be constantly bombing up and down that right flank. I felt really good about the combination of Reece, Tosin and Lavia on our right side. We were a bit more vunerable on our left.
  2. I fear that our squad in general might not have the footballing IQ to execute more complicated systems like Maresca’s.
  3. Feels like we are back to square 1. The back five are horribly disorganised. Celtic have no problem finding space behind the lines and in behind. Don’t think James is mobile enough to be inverting and then having to run back into the RB position. Colwill is not fast enough to play LB. He keeps dropping off defenders until he is almost inside our own goal. Badiashile, Fofana and Lavia not looking convicing. Sanchez has been ok. Nkunku and Guiu the only ones who look good.
  4. Goes down as a legend at this club for me. Thank you Thiago ❤️
  5. If Nkunku can get fit before the end of the season I would like to see us line up like this. Jackson Nkunku - Chukwumeka - Palmer I don’t understand why Chukwumeka doesn’t get more game time now he’s fit. Bar maybe one recent cameo, he’s been really good in the small amount of gametime he’s had this season.
  6. This game was very different to the Chelsea we have seen so far this season. We were scruffy and physical in grinding out the win. How the game was going in the first half, I actually felt we could still win this after going down to 10. A backline of 4 centrebacks today might have something to do about it. Scored two corners and hardly conceded any big chances. Reminded me of games back in the day where we maybe weren’t at our best but still managed to get a scruffy win.
  7. 1 win and 4 goals scored in 11. I go into each game with the hope we will turn it around. This is just getting seriously depressing. Some of the general play is nice and all that, but we are just completely incapable of posing any threat at all. Tottenham were there for the taking. The players should be a lot better than this.
  8. Absolutely delighted that he’s off the mark. Hope we get to see replicas of that second goal a few times this season. Trademark Sterling.
  9. Thought he was absolutely fantastic today. Holding off defenders, bringing the ball down, winning headers and helping us move up the pitch while being a man down. He also makes a lot of fantastic runs, but we often struggle to find the pass to him. He would have been through on goal today had Sterling’s ball been better.
  10. Goosebumps and tears of happiness while watching the scenes unfold at the Bridge. I love you Chelsea fans! And I am happy that our owners listened to our voices. A defining moment in football history.
  11. Apparently Mendy isn’t put in goal during finishing training in order not to deplete the confidence of our attacking players.
  12. Controlled performance so far. Created some decent opportunities and apart from Zouma misreading the flight of the ball for the Barnes chance, we have hardly given them a sniff. Long may that continue.
  13. I was always expecting him to do better than Kepa. However, I am now starting to think that we might have a world class keeper on our hands. It is of course too soon to say, but he just makes everything look so easy.
  14. It’s a bit frustrating that we can’t field the same back 5 as last game. Although, I feel Reece should be given the nod for this one. He had a fantastic debut for England and his confidence should be high going into this one. Kepa James Tomori Zouma Chilwell Kante Jorginho CHO Kai Mount Werner Since we have Kepa in goal, lack of height might be a problem. So maybe Tammy in for Mount moving Werner on to the right.
