Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
No owner is going to sack a manager and pay up 60m quid to terminate his 5 year contract after 2 months, not even Roman.... never mind the fact that the 60m can be used to buy players to support GP...which is what all us fans should be doing...Tuchel is in the past...it's about time he is consigned to the memory banks! Or go off and create a Tuchel appreciate thread so fans that support the club and not the manager don't have to read the constant drivel that is being spouted on a daily basis!

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang at Chelsea *Official*
- Ball playing midfielder to buy
I'm of the opinion now it doesn't matter who we sign until there is a change of system...- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
He's 23 and is improving year on year....what more do you want?- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
And if 15 against bottom and he's in top 3 then that makes him better than approx 400 other prem players....grass isn't always greener- Random Rumours
What about Tabsopa at Leverkusen...looks to have good stats?- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
I don't, think it is outrageous and I completely disagree with this comment, fact of the matter is we have a squad made up of several managers choices that are an ill fit for the way Tuchel wants to play.. Certain players can only play in one way and one system, no amount of coaching is going to change that. For example, Werner will not improve his strike rate with coaching in this league, he’s in a rut and frankly although I rate him for workrate alone, he is not suited to the premier league and will never get enough space to score, for a player that needs several chances and space to run into, you cannot coach him to become a completely different player and even if you could, we have a squad full of players that do not suit the system. Ziyech is not all of a sudden going to become a beast and fight for every ball, he’s too lightweight for the prem. We get fans on here calling for a back four to suit the attackers, all well and good but look what happened when Lampard played a back four we were shipping goals left right and centre and the opposition was shutting up shop. The team and squad is so unbalanced I can see why Tuchel is making these comments, at the very least you would expect a player when pulling on the blue shirt to give 110% in every match and if they don’t then damn right they should get called out on it… they earn enough money to at least play for the fans! The squad needs to be balanced out with smart signings, but we can't do that at the moment as we don't have enough centreback cover, we have too much deadwood and we are behind due to sanctions etc.. This mess will take at least 2 seasons and 4 transfer windows to sort out.- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Don't forget Baba Rahman- Ousmane Dembele
It depends on what his demands are...if he is willing to drastically reduce his wages then he will accept the offer on the table from Barca, I think this deal has a direct impact on whether they can then try and sign other players...Alonso, Azpi etc.... I still think Dembele is the No 1 target for Tuchel and if we do get him, Ziyech will be going.... If we get Sterling as well then I can see one of Werner/Pulisic going as well....- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
As far as I am aware transfer fees are split over the term of players contracts so for Lukaku that would be approx 20m per season negative towards FFP plus wages....so a good deal of reported rumours are 8m + 4m add ons and his wages off the books....frees up a bit of loose change towards transfers... Whereas player sales/loans count in full for that season....- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
It frees up 325k wages per week....with FFP it's vital to get that off the books- Who is your favourite player?
Bakayoko- Jules Kounde
Probably hard to negotiate with the current international fixtures going on as well- Random Rumours
Don't think we should be signing anyone 30 or over....bring in youngsters now.....if we sign players over 30 we will be rebuilding again in a couple of years- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completes acquisition of Chelsea Football Club 16 Min Ago Facebook Twitter New joint control owners are committed to growth and building on the tradition of unparalleled football excellence. The consortium led by Todd Boehly, chairman and CEO of Eldridge, and Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, “Clearlake”), today announced completion of the ownership transfer of Chelsea Football Club (“Chelsea FC” or “the Club”). The consortium also includes Hansjörg Wyss, founder of the Wyss Foundation, and Mark Walter, co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Capital. Walter and Boehly are owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Sparks. The transaction has received all necessary approvals from The Government of the United Kingdom, The Premier League, and other authorities. Under the terms of the agreement, Boehly and Clearlake will share joint control and equal governance of the Club. Boehly will serve as Chairman of the holding company. Boehly and Clearlake are committed to investing in key areas that will extend and enhance Chelsea’s competitiveness, including the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, further investment in the Academy, the Women’s Team, and Kingsmeadow stadium. The owners will also continue the important work of the Chelsea Foundation. “We are honoured to become the new custodians of Chelsea Football Club,” said Boehly. “We’re all in – 100% -- every minute of every match. Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud. Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success. I personally want to thank ministers and officials in the British government, and the Premier League, for all their work in making this happen.” Behdad Eghbali and José E. Feliciano, Clearlake co-founders and managing partners, said, “We are excited to commit the resources to continue Chelsea’s leading role in English and global football, and as an engine for football talent development. We also want to thank the authorities for all their work throughout the process. As pioneers in sports and media investing, we are thrilled to partner with Todd and the rest of the consortium to meaningfully grow the Club as a global platform. Together, we will expand the Club’s investment across infrastructure, technology, and sports science to support the incredible Chelsea football and commercial teams – all with the goal of leveraging this growth to fuel even more on-pitch success.” The new ownership group wishes to recognise the dedication and professionalism of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, HM Treasury, and the Premier League in conducting their reviews of this historic and complex transaction. Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Moelis & Company LLC, and Robey Warshaw LLP served as financial advisors to the new ownership group. Latham & Watkins LLP, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and Sidley Austin LLP served as legal counsel. The Raine Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Fordstam Limited and Chelsea FC. Northridge Law LLP, Simmons & Simmons LP, and Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw, Pittman LP served as legal counsel.- Ousmane Dembele
No to either of them for me... not sure why everyone raves about Gnabry..- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
The new owners haven't even got their feet under the table yet nor has it been confirmed by the club, all these statements seem a tad premature.... they must be thinking what have we got ourselves into here... turn and run!! pumping billions of $$ into the club and already being told what they can and can't do!- Dream Summer Transfer Window
I'd be inclined to agree with most of the above with the exception of Tchoumeni as he's agreed to join Madrid...Looks like it's either Rice (too expensive) or Sangare from PSV...still also think we need a creative midfielder or move Mount further back.... Can't see Anjorin being sold..he's still young and apparently Tuchel rates him...also isn't Rahman at the end of his contract as well?- Dream Summer Transfer Window
Now that the takeover saga has been completed, i am interested to know what other fans dream summer transfer window would be? Bearing in mind the Premier League allow a 25 man playing squad and 8 have to be considered home grown... what would be your ideal 25 man squad, who would go, who would you loan and who would come in. So, If 8 need to be home grown, surely someone like RLC will be sticking around next season, Also with new international loan rules coming into effect this Summer where we can only loan 8 players abroad, a lot of the dead wood will need to be cleared out.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
Such doom and gloom....we rebuilt a defense in 2004 and won the title breaking the Arsenal/Man It's duopoly in the process...Tuchel is the right man for the Job and seems loyal to the club and loves it here...with the right players in his preferred system we can achieve big things next season...maybe not win the league but it only takes a few injuries from the top two and us having a good season and who knows...look at the dippers last year without Van Dijk they were all ovr the place and losing home games left right and centre...our issues are not closing out games and conceding stupid goals...perhaps it's a good thing half this defense are on their way out...- Antonio Rudiger
https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/antonio-ruediger-chelsea-fc-soccer-premier-league Great read- Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
I do think a lot of the sideways passes are as a result of our wingers liking to cut back onto their stronger foot..., sometimes we need to be more direct, by constantly cutting back you waste valuable seconds which leads to opposition defenders closing down spaces and our boys having to start the build up again... we were far more direct when Pedro/Hazard/Willian were in the team and broke the lines with intelligent runs...- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
No I'm hoping Boehly and gang will have the same effect as Mourinho did and create a buzz around the club which will push us to new heights, no way should we consider getting rid of Tuchel... - Ball playing midfielder to buy
