I'd rather see Hazard and Willian play for us now than the clowns we have upfront. (Sterling aside)

It's been 2 games. But giving a manager who's teams average just over a goal a game In his career who's never won anything a 5 year contract at 12m a year is absolutely ridiculous. Massive commitment to a manager that hasn't shown much to warrant it.

The manager who clown Boehly sacked the day the window shut.

Fofana is quicker than Chalobah. Or he was before he signed for us. Our kit must be weighing all our players down. Everyone is so slow. Boehly probably has us playing in weighed clothes.

Going to need a rare feat for a Graham Potter team now to win this. 2 goals in a game.

Trossard would do well here. We've already got his cousin from across the pond Drossard on the bench.

Hard to give someone consistent games when they're the oppositions best player every time they're on the pitch

Give it another few weeks and @USATimwill be begging for Tuchel back

Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea
Havertz wasn't 60m. I'm not talking about Havertz. As for Kai He's played in numerous positions under multiple managers the fact he's not managed to really excel in any of them is something he's got to take a lot of responsibility for. If Bayern are prepared to offer most of the 72m we paid for him I don't think too many would be unhappy to see him go.

Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea
Well it's 1 good season more than the last player we signed for 60m from the Bundesliga. We'll see how he does this season, he's started it very much in the same vein so very promising news.

Christian Pulisic - Official
I bet Mendy keeps a clean sheet every training session. I've never looked at earlier pages of this thread before until today, interesting to see so much skepticism of the signing on page 1. Usually when a new player is signed there's a wave of optimism because by nature most people are optimistic about the things they enjoy. But this transfer didn't look right from the start. As someone who had watched a lot of Dortmund in the 2 years prior to us signing him I honestly thought the fee was a mistranslation and we'd signed him for £5.8m to join the loan army. I actually can't recall a single other situation where a player who has been embarrassingly sh*t for pretty much his entire career for such a long period has had so many vocal supporters or defenders.

I think if he tried to shoot Abraham Lincoln old Abe would still be Alive.

I don't watch much international football. Would scrap it completely. But my overwhelming thought from the American Puli worship has been "how terrible must your team be that f**king Pulisic is seen as a star"

Christian Pulisic - Official
I honestly think he released his book now because he knows his career is over at this level It's an end of career move but Pulisic has never had a career as a serious footballer. He's a commerical hype project and with the world cup in a few months I think that's likely the end of the line for him, if America have a bad world cup he's done. If America have a good world cup and another player shines he's done. He was a bottom tier premier league level player before his injuries now he has nothing left to give. Nailed on to head to the MLS on a free when his contract expires here.

Leandro Trossard
We were paying Pulisic to scout the much more talented Sancho and Dembele.
-
Leandro Trossard
Not only did Juventus not make an offer for him. They turned him down in the summer when we tried to offer him as part of the De Ligt deal as they preferred cash. By all accounts we offered Pulisic to Juventus, United, Milan and possibly Roma and there were no takers. Not sure Trossard is quite as avaliable as Pulisic Dortmund demanded £58m when Puli couldn't get a game there and some mugs paid it.

Kai Havertz
We've got the 3 shots on target a game part down at least.
-
Kai Havertz
Can you please call Havertz ineffectual in the 1st minute of the next game he starts for us

Kai Havertz
Werner to Havertz. Lol. 🤣

It's so long since we last played a league game coupled with a change of manager and so many new players it feels like the 1st game of the season. Hopefully Charlie Boy doesn't bite the dust this week so we can actually get a game played.

Nothing says the pound has collapsed like Pulisic being worth £31m in 2022.

Christian Pulisic - Official
Rumours today we're trying to Push Pulisic out the door in January but want 31m There's absolutely no chance of getting that fee, he wasn't worth anywhere near 31m when we signed him and his stock has hardly been on the rise the last 2 years albeit he's been far better for us than He was for Dortmund.

Leandro Trossard
Strongly disagree. I don't think Pulisic is anywhere near as talented as Kalou was who contributed a lot more here than Puli has. I think it's ridiculous to say Pulisic isn't consistent when he's been one of the most consistent players in premier league history, he's just been consistently sh*t for 95% (no exaggeration) of his entire career. If a player has 14 good games for every poor one no one label's him inconsistent, he's simply a good player who maybe didn't have his best game that week. We're not going to call Haaland inconsistent if he has a poor game next week. But when you have someone like Puli who has 14 terrible games for every decent one there's a rush to suggest he's inconsistent or act like because he played well once he's shown he can do it and try to pretend that's his actual level. Trossard could be a good squad player here. I don't think Pulisic is squad player quality given how consistently poor his level is. I'd love it if we could replace Pulisic with another Kalou.

Leandro Trossard
He's a far far better player than Pulisic. I don't think Trossard is top quality and wouldn't want to pay a big fee to sign him. But he's about the 10th winger we've been linked with where people have said "he isn't an improvement on what we have" since Boehly took over while every single one of them has vastly outperformed Pulisic and Ziyech for years and have continued to do so to start this season. I think people forget just how bad our attacking options are. Trossard being a vast improvement is the problem even if he himself isn't the perfect solution for us.
