  1. He's a winger not a striker, plenty of wingers particularly those that come inside like Pulisic does regularly play through balls. But you're forgetting Pulisic has played 100% of his games for us at Right Wing back. @USATim tells me the reason Pulisic has never been able to buy a goal or an assist his entire career is because Tuchel was playing him out of position. The perfect opportunity to play some through balls!
  2. He's basically the same age as Tuchel 🤣 He's just never won anything or done anything of note so people convince themselves he's a young upcoming manager He's basically the Lingard or Loftus Cheek of managers.
  3. And that was his downfall. There is no position where Pulisic can be any kind of asset to Chelsea football club. Short of dressing him up as an Eagle and having him pose next to Stamford the Lion on the side of the pitch for games televised in America.
  4. Todd is an absolute moron. Will probably sack Potter on the 3rd of February after spending another £250m in the January window on dross who had decent world cups.
  5. Henry was talking about the free Pulisic hashtag. Said he needs to free himself by being a better player. Carragher said Pulisic isn't good enough to play for Chelsea and is a squad player at best regardless of who the manager is. I really don't know why Tim is so happy, Pulisic has just had 2 of the best seasons of his career under Tommy T Tuchel actually took Pulisic up a level!
  6. Everyone. It was clear when Pulisic signed he would be here for his full contract then leave on a free to the MLS. He's in the Kepa/Drinkwater/Bakayoko category, he's here because no one actually wants him and he isn't good enough to play for any team that could afford his wages. If we could have got an offer for him he'd have been gone long ago. Deadwood often outlasts the managers lumbered with it. Carragher and Henry were actually spot on tonight with their assessments of Pulisic.
  7. I eagerly look forward to Tim and the other excessively patriotic smooth brains deciding Potter or Pochettino is the worst manager in the history of the game and should be flogged for never winning a trophy when Pulisic is benched in their first game. Tbh my biggest criticism of Tuchel is for giving Pulisic and Ziyech too many minutes this season. They're not good enough to be squad players here. Trying to force them out was the right move but Tuchel bringing them on every game was incredibly disappointing.
  8. Maybe he found out Potter didn't rate Gilmour and Colwill so he sent them to Brighton? But knowing Boehly he found out Potter rated them incredibly highly so he let Gilmour go on the cheap to make his potential new manager happy. Todd has been 3 steps behind everyone all summer.
  9. Not sure why you're so happy to see Tuchel go. Your boy G.I Gervinho won't get a game under the next manager. It's not like Tuchel was the first manager to bench him he's been a bench warmer his entire career! If anything Tuchel could be criticised for giving Pulisic too much game time, he's featured in every game this season. That's something that will have to change if the next manager is going to be a success.
  10. I actually was! Because I'm 100% certain if the pressure was on and his job was on the line he'd bench his son as well.
  11. Perhaps if Boehly wasn't completely incompetent to the point he failed to bring in any kind of backroom or admin staff after causing the existing staff to leave Tuchel would have been able to focus on coaching the team and work on our style of play instead of being forced to be our scout/director of football/manager/bus driver and fill half a dozen roles at the club single handedly.
  12. Funny how you criticise Tuchel for needing penalties against weaker opposition in the Super Cup but give him no credit for taking superior opposition to Pens in the 2 domestic cup finals last season. Tuchels Cup performances for us were outstanding. And he finished in the top 4 (despite starting outside the top 4 places when he took over from Lamps) in his 1st season and was comfortably 3rd for the entirety of his 2nd season which is the best league finish anyone could realistically hope for. To try to pretend Tuchel didn't get fantastic results is simply being dishonest he did everything that could have been expected from him and more.
  13. By reports Boehly is every bit the nightmare yank a lot of people were afraid of taking over the club. Sacking a manager because he doesn't want your big commerical star name, targeting players against the managers Wishes, putting pressure on the manager to explain why he doesn't want whatever name his dumbass wants that week. Coupled with his general incompetence all window as he failed to put a transfer team in place and personally flung himself at every highly player who was rumoured to be on the move, some of which (Raphina, Dembele) had no interest in coming here I think we're in for a struggle with this prick in charge. Boehly Out. Radcliffe in.
  14. £13m and not having to watch our drab attacking players put on their weekly disasterclasses? Tuchel has pulled off a masterclass here.
  15. As long as he plays him in his best position.
  16. Expectations - a lack of goals, creativity and quality in the final third and people to blame the new manager for Pulisic and Ziyechs complete lack of talent and inability to play at the highest level. Just as they did Tuchel, Just as they did Lampard.
  17. Perhaps they could have done their research and interviewed him a month ago to find out what players he wanted this summer if they were looking to change manager. Nothing Boehly has done since the day he bought the club has suggested he's done his research or has any kind of coherent plan. Nearly 300m spent on players pretty much scouted by and selected by a manager only for him to be sacked as soon as the window closes with no idea if the new manager would want them. Would Potter have wanted any of the players we signed? Other than Cucurella, we know Potter can get great performances out of Marc.
  18. Good timing for us to get Potter in ahead of our 7th game of the season. Should give us time to adapt to his methods before our first win in week 19.
  19. I'm not talking about from a supporter perspective. As long as someone has 2 legs they're an upgrade on Ziyech and Pulisic and therefore have a place in the frontline. I'm talking from a management perspective, what manager wants to inherit a 33 years old who has has a history of attitude problems? The last manager who inherited Auba was Arteta and be binned him sharpish due to his attitude. A player that throgh no fault of his own had just gone through a traumatic life event and was injured/ expected to be out for weeks when he signed meaning he can't contribute as quickly as the other options avaliable to us. What owner would want to invest in a player like that? Would Auba himself have even wanted to come without Tuchel here? Auba as a signing only made sense because of his great record and relationship with Tuchel and the manager being very keen to bring him in over other options like Depay, Zaha, Ronaldo, Toney etc According to Ornstein the decision to sack Tuchel was made before last nights game so Boehly had made that decision before Auba even donned the shirt and the mask. It's just an absolutely shocking decision from Boehly to have Tuchel operate as chief scout and solely go after his targets if he's not committed to him or willing to give him time with the players he picks.
  20. Probably more likely to score than our other American tbf. Boehly can be our owner, director of football, negotiator, manager, right winger and token commerical American signing all in one. Jack of all trades. Master of all.
  21. This. I've watched Liverpool put in dozens of poor performances under Klopp in games they've won due to a bit of magic from Salah, Mane, Jota or Diaz. I can't recall a single game We've struggled in and been rescued by moments of magic from Pulisic or Ziyech. Our attacking options right now are reminiscent of when Klopp had Borini, Lambert and Balotelli as his front 3. He finished 7th/8th. If you don't have the talent in the final third I'm not exactly what people expect From Tuchel or any manager.
  22. Very very few managers come into a club wanting to keep 33 year olds from old regimes. They're usually the players new managers try to move on to bring in their own signings. If Boehly was even considering sacking Tuchel he's clearly an even bigger idiot than he's come across all summer for authorising this transfer.
  23. With the possible exceptions of Zidane and Simeone not one of these guys would even get a job interview at any club if the club thought Tuchel was avaliable. They're all Massive massive downgrades.
  24. What about Klopp as the next manager? He's had a worse start to the season than Tuchel I'm sure he'll be sacked any day now right? Or we could wait a week and maybe pick up Guardiola if they drop points in their 2nd consecutive league game. Big brain Boehly.
  25. Maybe that c**t Boehly given he wanted to do every other job at the club this summer why not be manager as well?
