  1. I miss Roman. If Boehly tried to get them back to England they'd have ended up in Barcelona.
  2. Finally. Our luck has turned.
  3. Did Lukaku turn us down? If I recall Correctly Lukaku wanted to come to us but his agent didn't come to the negotiating table and told him United were the only option which led to Rom firing Raiola shortly after. 2017 was a shocking window and us failing to get our main targets and then panic buying dross set us back significantly, I'd argue we haven't actually recovered from it, we've certainly not challenged for a title since. I'm not saying we didn't have a bad window under Roman, we had many particularly once Marina came in but the club generally conducted its affairs in a much more professional and quietly competent manner. Boehly emulating our worst window under Roman in his very first window while having a near unlimited budget isn't promising. There's been a lot of noise from Boehly both in failing to get things done and interviews away from the club and I'm not sure it's a positive change. Seems a lot of the positivity is linked to us getting a mythical but yet unknown director to handle everything and keep Todd away but given we've now started being Publically rejected by directors across Europe I'm not sure I feel the optimism either.
  4. Rooney at least had a fantastic IQ on the pitch. If Pulisic was as dumb in his day to day life as he is on the pitch he'd need 24/7 care. Rooney and Pulisic are an interesting parallel actually, both recieved absurd levels of hype from their national media's when they were 16 and both were saddled with the hopes and pressures of a nation. But If Rooney flopped as badly as Pulisic has for his entire career after the hype he got at 16 any hyped youth player that just didn't deliver at all at senior level would he called another Rooney by the press here. Probably shows the difference between the U.S media and the British media. Always felt the media had it out for Wayne because he came across as the most unpolished and typical working class person just with a ridiculous level of natural ability and the expectations placed on him as the most talented player of the golden generation. Don't think he'd have got as much stick if he looked like Becks either.
  5. I don't think anyone has an issue with Raphina choosing Barca over us. People have an issue with Boehly and club publically announcing we've agreed a fee with Leeds without speaking to the player, which if we had we'd know that not only did he only want Barca but he'd agreed personal terms with them months ago. The issue isn't that we didn't get Raphina or any of those players it's that Bohely shot his load too early and saw us publically rejected all over Europe, it's a horrible look for the club and not one we were so eager to experience under Roman. Can't help thinking he came into it thinking he was in the NBA and he only had to make deals with other teams rather than with the players themselves.
  6. Why not? Surely everyone is happy to seeing CHO doing well.
  7. Plenty of idiots have ambition. I'd hoped to see some competency, intelligence or at least a basic understanding of the club and the game from Boehly but he's been sorely lacking on all fronts since he took over. I have absolutely no idea how anyone could take anything positive from Boehly causing the entire executive set up to leave without having any idea who to replace them with leading him to lone wolfing the transfer window going after players scouted by a manager who he didn't want, didn't get on with and then sacked as soon as the window ended. He's a walking disaster. Him wanting to win doesn't change that.
  8. He's played 250 top flight games. We've seen what he can do though it's hard to actually think of anything he's good at. He clearly isn't a premier league level player, I don't remember the push to play Drinkwater or Bakayoko whenever a new manager came in. Pulisic is deadwood just as he would be under any manager, constantly trying to reintegrate players nowhere near talented enough for the highest level whenever a new manager comes in is something United have done over the last decade and it's why they still have Mctominey and Phil Jones and it's why they haven't come close to challenging for trophies in years. Coupled with his terrible attitude, he just isn't talented enough for the club to waste any more time with the drama and circus he and his entourage bring. If he's still here on January the 2nd it's a failing by the club.
  9. Too early to say. But the signs aren't good.
  10. Though I suppose Pulisic has to attack his previous coaches to sell copy's. Fame at the expense of dressing room harmony. He could have tried writing a book about his career achivements. But as people have said it's already been done.
  11. He's a proper prick isn't he? Writing a book crying the manager benched you is embarrassing for a professional footballer. It's even more embarrassing to write it when you've been a bench warmer your entire career, your the least naturally talented player at the club and have consistently put in poor performances since the day you started your professional career. I really miss the days when the least talented players at the club got their heads down worked even harder and tried to play some kind of role even if they don't have the ability for the highest level. Too many untalented players are so quick to mouth off now and run to the media on international breaks and it's sad to see. The irony is Tuchel actually gave him far too much playing time, Eagle boy should be thanking Tuchel for letting him role play as a premier league footballer. It's Vital Potter doesn't make that mistake. Cut this cancer out of the squad immediately.
  12. Todd switching it up after agreeing terms with Leeds without speaking to Raphina. Boehly is an absolute clown.
  13. The best ran clubs are such tight ships you rarely hear about what they're doing until they do it. Since Bohely came in there are so many leaks and so many public rejections even even after we've apparently agreed deals I'll be amazed if the club manages to stay afloat with 10 years of Todd. It's pure embarrassment.
  14. Even in his prime I don't think Kante would have ever got a game for many actual top sides that challenge for titles year in year out. He's excelled in cup competitions and counter attacking underdog teams. But the top teams that set out to dominate every game like City, Barca or Bayern he has some very serious technical flaws and weaknesses in possession that would hold the team back, we've seen them here. I find it really hard to imagine Pep ever picking a player as technically limited as Kante in his midfield.
  15. This. additionally if you look at the players we moved on both Lukaku and Werner went back to their previous clubs were they performed really well at. They were sold on the back of how they performed before coming to us. Ziyech and Pulisic don't have anything to fall back on. Ziyech had only played in the Dutch league so other clubs in major leagues would rightly be skeptical oc him and Pulisic was shockingly bad in the Bundesliga and a complete flop there. The only real interest for Ziyech was back at Ajax where he performed well at and they don't spend big fees or offer big wages so it didn't happen. Dortmund are hardly going to want to take statstically the worst attacking player they've had in the last 15 years back, they already hustled us once. They're just not sellable. They're like Drinkwater or Bakayoko were but for some absurd reason we keep giving them minutes
  16. They haven't though. It isn't like we have any top class midfielders or Jorginho is surplus to requirements. He's still comfortably the best midfielder at the club over the course of a season. That's the problem.
  17. Pulisic turns 24 today. I hope he doesn't look at the twitter comments on the club wishing him a happy birthday. Not exactly the best of wishes. He's played 250 career club games at Elite clubs before turning 24 which is an incredible achievement that puts him alongside prodigies like Fabregas and Rooney. It's even more incredible given he's only played well in about 12 of those games. Can't think of any other player that's taken up a squad spot at top clubs for so long while consistently offering so little.
  18. I think this sums up the scale of the challenge Potter faces. Going from Willian to Havertz, Pulisic and Ziyech is a generational downgrade and Willian was a solid piece of a top team not a superstar himself. Willian got panned at Arsenal but even there he created twice as many chances for them and had over double the XA/90 as Pulisic has managed here. we criticise our attacking options a lot but I don't think people grasp quite how bad they are. Hard to expect any manager to finish in the top 4 with attacking options that don't start for a single other team in the league.
  19. Why should I or any other Chelsea fan support Bohely? We support Chelsea the club, he isn't the club. We're not some personal cheer leaders. He's chosen to buy it largely with the funds of a capital investment firm and other partners and has so far in the eyes of many came across as a massive self indulgent bellend who's obsessed with trying to change the sport, the format, the structure and everything in between before even getting his own house in order. I think most Chelsea fans would appreciate him actually trying to get the right people involved in our club before he talks about buying another or trying to arrange more games.
  20. To be fair to Tuchel for most of his time here he hasn't had a single winger capable of dribbling past anyone at pace. Sterling looked bright off the dribble under Tuchel and created chances and got goals. Not sure you can blame Tuchel for Pulisic and Ziyech having no natural dribbling ability, Werner, Mount and Havertz are hardly dribblers either. Regardless of how we set up I wouldn't expect anyone other than Sterling to be able to consistently beat his man in the final 3rd, it isn't a tactical issue it's a technical ability issue and it's one that will pose a massive challenge to Potter just as it did to Tommy T.
  21. If Pulisic wasn't American he'd have never played in the Premier league in the first place.
  22. I'm honestly astonished Pulisic and Ziyech are still here. £300m spent on an already very expensively assembled squad and we still have arguably the 2 worst right wingers in the entire league getting minutes for us. It's absolutely horrifying.
  23. Not true. Tuchel would never have been so negligent to start Azpi and Silva in a back 4.
  24. Perhaps Boehly would come across as less of a clown if he managed to fill the executive positions of the club he took over months ago before talking about buying another.
  25. The difference is that 2 years ago Azpi was a premier league level player. Now he wouldn't get a game for any team in the league. Playing a completely finished RB at CB in a back 4 with a 37 year old while you have such expensive quality on the bench Is strange. Koulibaly himself is 31 and has played dozens of champions league games as CB in a back 4. It's just a very strange team selection by Potter whichever way you look at it.
