Chelsea v. Liverpool (LC) 29/11/2011 KO. 19:45 BST
Disappointed. Just about all I can say. Bertrand and Romeu only positives, great performances from both of them. I think with a midfield of Romeu, Ramires, Meireles we could go places, Romeu a wonderful holding mid, Ram and Meireles are both able to run for days, pressing the opposition. We need to get one of our strikers on form though, preferably Torres, he needs to get his head in the game. In the second half today he showed promise, denied a good header from a good save by Reina from a corner. Our right back needs to be sorted too, Bosingwa is not good enough (no win in 9 for him against Liverpool now, unbelievable record), Ivan is good there, but he isn't natural, we need an out and out right back who's a quality defender and a quality attacker. Tricky to find. The next two games are HUGE. Newcastle up at their place on the weekend, and then Valencia next Tuesday. Two of the biggest games of the season, Valencia being an absolute MUST win. Come on Chelsea, we need to make December a blinding month.

MOTM vs Liverpool
Bertrand for me, Romeu a pretty close second. Bertrand was excellent all game, did his utmost, great cross for Torres in the second half but a tame header, good performance, I have a feeling we should be pretty comfortable at left back for years to come.

Games are usually repeated at midnight on Chelsea TV, but I'm not sure if that applies to Carling Cup...

MOTM vs Wolves
Very difficult to choose between Mata, Sturridge and Romeu for me. But for his two assists and a goal, I'll give it to Mata, he was even doing his utmost tracking back and I often saw him down by our own corner flag, can't fault the lad today. Studge is fast becoming our main man however, I genuinely think that given a few games to adapt, Mata-Torres-Sturridge could be lethal, in Mata and Sturridge's form. Romeu was excellent throughout as well, like Spiller said, he offers everything we miss when Mikel plays, don't think he missed a tackle, his passing was excellent, so calm on the ball, quality little player, he'll go places.

Chelsea v Wolves (PL) 26/11/11 KO 15:00 GMT
Solid 3 points, just what we needed, I don't care if it was against Wolves, comfortable win and a clean sheet, perfect. Man U dropping points can only be a good thing, even if it means Newcastle are a point ahead of us. Onwards and upwards!

Couldn't agree more. When you're looking for someone to turn to in dire need, look to Luiz. Just look at what he did against QPR. When we were down to 9 men, he went on a barnstorming run from the half way line, gave the ball to Ivan on the right while he sprinted int the area, into the perfect position for the most spectacular of bicycle kicks that was inches from nestling in the back of the night. He has a die hard attitude, he will never give up. He's something to be admired. I have every confidence in Luiz that he will be one of the best defenders in the world. Give him time. He'll get there.

Bayer Leverkusen v Chelsea (CL) 23/11/11 KO 19:45 GMT
Actually, it seems as long as we draw 0-0 or 1-1 we can go through (it goes by results against the two involved before goal difference) for some reason, but if it's 2-2, 3-3 etc then Valencia go through. It's bizarre.

I'm disappointed, but the overreactions on here are insane. We have problems, that's obvious, but we are more than capable of getting a point (as long as it's 0-0 or 1-1) against Valencia in a few weeks. It's a bad period. We're Chelsea, we always have bad periods in a season, it's just ours has come at a seriously horrid time. I'm honestly not sure how anyone can give anyone blame the defence for this one. The first goal, Derdiyok actually meant to control it, it went under his foot straight to Sam, you can't defend against a fortunate mistake for them, that was just unlucky. The corner we're a bit more liable, obviously, but it's a corner, they jumped higher than us, it happens. I'm going to be staying out of this thread, it's just going to annoy me seeing hundreds of new members joining up calling for AVBs head.

Started the 2nd half in fine form. Good chance from Lamps, header straight at the keeper.

Genk v Chelsea (CL) 01/11/11 KO 19:45 BST
We do play fullbacks who push forward, yes, but Ashley Cole has always been excellent at getting forward and getting back, Bosingwa is simply a right back who fancies himself as a winger and plays a shockingly high line, leaving the right centre back (Ivan tonight) exposed. He does it all the time. He never seems to be in the right position, ever, I was watching him tonight when defending and when the ball was in Ashley territory, Bosingwa pushed right infield, marking a man who was clearly already being marked by Ivan, thus leaving De Bruyne completely free on Genk's left wing. It's amazing how bad his positioning is at all times. Malouda has never and will never be able to cross consistently well, apart from under Hiddink. He's always been completely useless, and the same thing happened on Saturday, with Ashley and Studge, all three of them delayed and delayed before eventually sending a cross that was either gathered by the keeper (Studge) or cleared by a defender (the other two). Malouda seems incapable of playing a first time cross, or at least playing it earlier. Whether it's a lack of confidence in his ability to deliver it first time or he's always undecided what to do, I have no idea. It needs to be sorted out. We saw a month or so ago at the Bridge for a Ramires goal, I forget who it was against, Mata latched onto a great ball over the top and half-volleyed it first time across goal for Ramires to tap in, they're much more difficult to defend against, so why wait and wait and wait to let the defenders recover? It's completely pointless and seriously frustrating.

MOTM vs Genk
Meireles, should've scored with a header in the second half and hit the bar spectacularly, a lot of good passing and ran everywhere, clear MOTM.

Genk v Chelsea (CL) 01/11/11 KO 19:45 BST
I haven't seen such a dull, lifeless performance from Chelsea in a long time. With 9 men against QPR we were incredible and unlucky not to win, and yet with 11 men against Genk, we were absolutely awful. Torres got an assist today, but apart from that, he did nothing to help the team. Malouda was awful, albeit unlucky not to score at the end. I'm not sure what's happened, as Virosh said we need to improve spectactularly, or we're going to be in contention for Europa League spots, let alone Champions League. Dire.

Chelsea vs Arsenal (PL) 29/10/2011 KO. 12:45 BST
Sturridge not had a great half, hope he can stay on though as he has caused some trouble by getting in behind, just missing the final ball. He's getting closer though, with his marginally offside goal. Great stuff going in 2-1 at half-time, it was always going to be JT wasn't it? Come on lads, kick on, get a 2 goal cushion, sturridge in the 51st minute.
