  1. Kalou should get no where near our line-up on Sunday. I'd go with a front three of Sturridge, Mata and Anelka, Anelka seems to be playing really well the last couple of games. Stick him down the middle, and let Studge and Mata loose on the wings and see what happens. The pace of that front three is electric. The midfield is a bit of a tricky one, I wouldn't have Lampard starting, midfield three of Mikel, Meireles and Ramires would be my preferred option. But, I wouldn't be adverse to a Meireles, Ramires and Lampard trio and bring Mikel on to add a bit of defensive security when we're 2-1 up. I'd like to see Luiz start, Bosingwa should be nowhere near the right back position with Young in the form of his life. Stick Ivan out there, Luiz and JT in the middle, Ashley on the left. I highly doubt we'll do that as Bosingwa gives good width for us going forward, but defensively we'll be in trouble I fear. We'll see. I have confidence that AVB knows how we should play against Man U. With a bit of luck, Park Ji Sung might suffer a slight tweak tomorrow that puts him out of the game on Sunday, he always plays superbly well against us, depressingly. It'd be interesting to see what formation Red Nose plays though, he always plays defensively with a packed midfield and just counter attack all game, but I don't think he'll do that with Nani, Young and Rooney playing as well as they are. It's going to be a tense one, I can tell you that.
  2. Agree with that BrewCrew, thought he was excellent today.
  3. Seem to be alone in this one, but I thought Meireles was absolutely superb in his hour. He gave away a couple of fouls in the first half, but his ball retention was fantastic, I don't think he misplaced a pass all game. Wonderful performance from him so he's my MOTM. Mata was excellent all game, as were Sturridge and Torres, despite his poor 15 minutes in the 2nd half, he did all he could to score in the first half and nothing fell for him, and you can't argue against two assists, especially the 2nd one where he could've quite easily gone for it himself, very unselfish from him.
  4. With a bit of luck, I've gone for a tentative 5-10, and next season he'll bag 40, mark my words.......
  5. Carroll would be amusing, from our point of view. Liverpool blowing £35million on a coke head!
  6. Different opinions from different people, but I think the US version is FAR superior to the UK version, Ryan and Colin come into their own in the US version. And, QI is brilliant. A new series started on Friday, series I, which I haven't seen yet, but I'm positive it won't disappoint!
  7. UK version or US?
  8. Started watching Community, it's superb. One of the funniest comedies to come out of America in a long time. Oh, and this seems much more close to the title of the thread, I downloaded Firefly last night, should start watching tonight, heard wonderful things.
  9. Imagine them kicking Barcelona off the park. Love it.
  10. Somehow, I have no idea how, I've managed to get both Dzeko and Aguero in my team in a front three completed by...Daniel Sturridge. Pretty successful day, I think!
  11. I don't think it's based on just today, even though he was very good today. His form at Bolton last year proved that he is definitely good enough to start week in week out, and he is exactly the player we need. Mata on the left, Sturridge on the right and whoever in the middle, could and possibly should be deadly.
  12. Mata was excellent today, as were Sturridge, Meireles, Ramires and Cole, but Mata edged it, he's the player we've missed for the last few years. Amazingly high hopes for the young man.
  13. A bit of a nervous injury time, but we were always in control, if we had drawn that one at the death it would've been completely undeserved for Sunderland who we completely outplayed. I have amazing high hopes for a front three containing Mata and Sturridge, who the middle man should be remains to be seen. Anelka was okay today, but he always slows play up compared to Studge and Mata's direct approach, who were both awesome today. Meireles was solid aswell, nothing spectacular, but in that position, he doesn't need to be. Lamps ONCE AGAIN proved he isn't fit to start in this Chelsea side. I'd be more than happy with a midfield three of Mikel, Ramires and Meireles, or even Josh in place of one of them. Torres though, I have no idea what's happened to him. Incredible loss of form since he signed for us. We need Drogba back, and we should definitely give Lukaku much more of a chance if Torres continues to play like he did today. But, solid 3 points, despite the annoying injury time goal, get in.
  14. Quite a few films recently. Rise of the Planet of the Apes - I thoroughly enjoyed it, very good reboot of the franchise. The Inbetweeners Movie - Hilarious. Series 3 of the show was a bit of a let down compared to the first two so I was a bit apprehensive about the film, but it really was superb. The perfect end to one of the best British sitcoms in years. Brilliant. Limitless - Very, very good. It's a little bizarre, without giving too much away, that the film is about drugs and a man being improved by them, but it gets to a point where he starts to stop using them, and you're actually willing him on to take more drugs. A bit like in Dexter that you want the serial killer protagonist to kill. Strange, but a good 90 minutes of entertainment. Will be having a Scream marathon tomorrow with my mates too, having only seen the recent 4th film.
  15. Good list of shows you have there, I don't watch Vampire Diaries or Entourage though. I very highly recommend Fringe, my personal favourite, series 4 is starting in about 2 weeks! Another show is one I only recently started watching, Supernatural, finished Series 1 the other day (out of 6 at the moment) and it's brilliant, I love it. Will be binging on TV I've missed out on soon, I have Game of Thrones, Firefly, House, Community, and Castle all to be watched over the coming weeks.
  16. Ramsey was excellent yesterday, actually pretty much the whole Welsh team was excellent, aside from Earnshaw...Darcy Blake was superb at centre back, absolutely superb. We still have a long way to go, but I'm looking forward to the next few years of Welsh football with Bale and Ramsey being the fixtures in our team for the next 10 years, with a bit of luck.
  17. My Dad and my Uncle decided to support Chelsea when they were in school a good 30+ years ago and I've grown up with it, and I'm so glad I did grow up with it. Saw my first game in 2001 when I was 9, seeing Chelsea smash Bolton 5-1 at the Bridge, and since that day I've never, ever looked back.
  18. Exactly. Seems a little strange that it's not up on the official website yet, but apparently every news website in the world says he's out. Wait and see. Our Premiership squad hasn't been announced yet either, calm down.
  19. It was released a few months ago, but England Keep My Bones, Frank Turner's new album, is still being played on repeat. It's incredible.
  20. Don't count me on it, but I think Mata was Valencia's free kick and pen specialist last year. Sure I read that on here somewhere.
  21. A young lad at the Norwich game verbally called him LaKuka and called Mata, Massa. I kid you not.
