  1. Liverpool's record in 2012: Played 12, won 2, drawn 2, lost 8! Only Wolves have a worse record in 2012. Music to my ears.
  2. Missed the first half as I was travelling home from Uni, but Ivan was class in the 2nd half, went for him.
  3. PHEW! We nearly chucked that away, but what a win, the return of Two Goal Bran, Torres scored, Arsenal LOST, top day. MOTD is going to be unreal tonight.
  4. Had a friend at school who is a huge Celtic fan, he even had the chance of meeting him once on a flight, and he always raved at how good a player he is. Awful news, wish him a full and speedy recovery.
  5. Been on a sitcom binge recently. With Community blowing everything I've ever watched out of the water (The Office, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, but not even just sitcoms, I think it's genuinely one of the best all round tv shows on tv at the moment, it's fantastic), I've been dipping my toes into other sitcoms to see if a new one takes my fancy. I'm watching 30 Rock on and off, it's pretty good, but it's nothing specal. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is surprisingly good and I will definitely go back to it. Happy Endings was average as hell and I stopped. I plan on watching Up All Night soon (Will Arnett's new vehicle, hoping for a GOB Bluth esque performance), but at the moment Parks and Recreation is really taking my fancy. I'm half way through Season 2 now and it is really, really funny. It's no Community, but it is a very funny show that I recommend to all.
  6. The difference between the 2nd leg of this tie and the 2nd leg of the Arsenal tie is that Milan thought they could've cruised it, they should've, it's just a very fired up Arsenal turned up that day. At the Nou Camp, they're going to want/need a goal to really scare Barca.
  7. With news of their new album coming out pretty soon, and a tour to be announced, I've been listening to a lot of Gaslight.
  8. We scored, won and kept a clean sheet against a team who a) had a 10-game winning streak at home in Europe and b) haven't not scored at home in any game in 3 years. What more could anyone have wanted from that game?
  9. Ramires myself, but it could've been him, any of the back 5, Mikel and Kalou. He ran rings around their left back all evening, there was that one moment in the first half where Ramires just flew past him like he wasn't there, I'd never seen the kid run so fast. Absolutely top performance from him, honourable mentions to Luiz, Cole and Mikel too.
  10. Absolutely loved the performance. We never looked like conceding and always looked like scoring, a 1-0 away goal lead is ideal to take to the Bridge, just have to see it out. David Luiz and Ramires were magnificent on their return to Lisbon as well, played out of their skin. Agree with those saying Mata needs a rest though, should be benched for Villa on Saturday.
  11. Hope Torres starts tonight, he deserves it more than Drogba does. Sturridge needs to find form and fast for the run in, and we need to top using Ramires as a winger. If we're continuing with the 4-2-3-1 I'd rather see Ramires and Mikel in the two with Kalou, Mata and Sturridge in the 3. COME ON CHELSEA!
  12. Saw The Hunger Games on Thursday night, and as a fan of the books it really didn't disappoint. It works not only as a seriously, seriously good adaptation but as a film on its own. Absolutely brilliant.
  13. Don't worry, we'll be given the same treatment as Manure and Citeh and we'll be on ITV1 a few times, I'm sure of it......
  14. Cahill for me, superb performance.
  15. What a poor first half from both sides, but what a save and block at the end by Cech and Cole respectively! Up the tempo second half, and get Sturridge to STICK TO HIS WING.
  16. As a general football fan though, the last few El Clasico's I've watched have been pathetic affairs, not much great football, lots of petulance and diving and fights. It's awful.
  17. We've never lost in a single game in the Roman era against them except in games when we were down to 10-men. Factoid for you.
  18. It gets better as it goes on that film, it's a nice sense of closure. But still I have no idea what's so curious about Shephard Book!
  19. Plus Mata's free kick's are very Zola-esque, just on his left, could learn a few tricks from the master!
  20. Looks amazing, but I've yet to see any of the original Alien films, shocking I know. I'll get on them before the film comes out!
  21. Went to book tickets for The Hunger Games on Thursday (beyond excited for that film), and if I weren't a student it would've cost me £8.90. Ridiculous. It's no wonder so many people stream movies online nowadays with prices like that.
  22. No one else but Fernando. He was excellent today, so glad he found the net finally. Go on a Van Persie-esque goal rampage till the end of the season now Nando!
  23. Amazing result. Absolutely amazing. My voice is still saw from all the shouting, but it's so worth it, incredible incredible incredible.
  24. I watched Martha Marcy May Marlene the other day, on Mark Kermode's recommendation after he was very mysterious about the whole thing, and just said not to read up about it, just watch it. Don't watch it. Thought it was absolute drivel from start to finish, I don't mind ambiguity in films at all, I like it when films leave things open to suggestion, but when the film is made up of 105 minutes of nothing but ambiguity, that's when it starts to get on my nerves. Couldn't stand it. Also watched Hugo with my housemate, which was visually excellent, very Scorcese, but absolutely hated the story. It didn't interest me in the slightest, the fact it's a family film and I'm nearly 20 is not the point, the fact it was up for Best Picture at the Oscars gave me high hopes, but it let me down completely. Finally I watched Little Miss Sunshine for the umpteenth time the other day, absolutely adore that film, it's hilarious and heartfelt, Steve Carell is excellent in it, it's just a fantastic film. Going to watch We Need To Talk About Kevin tonight, another film I have very high hopes for, I just hope it doesn't disappoint.
