That game better be televised over there (because then we'll get it here too).

Then again, I'm fairly certain it will be....featuring Liverpool as it does.

It will not be easy. We need to be at our very best. no nonsense like today at the back. but i believe we are very capable of beating them.100% concentration for 90 min.

I fancy us for that one but i must say the ARSENAL v MAN CITY one is a pre match thought provoker

Eh? City will demolish them on current form.

At least we got the scoucers at the Bridge. Then again we just got dicked at home so who knows.

Tough draw for us this year, this is the third PL side we have to play just to get into the semi. They will play a full strength team as this is their realistic chance of winning anything this year. I hope we stick to our guns and give the youth a go.

From the official site:

CARLING CUP DATE FIXED

Posted on: Fri 04 Nov 2011

Our Carling Cup quarter-final tie at home to Liverpool has been set for Tuesday November 29, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

Ticket news will follow.

We last med the Reds in this competition at the same stage four seasons ago, with goals from Andriy Shevchenko and Frank Lampard handing us a 2-0 win after Liverpool saw Peter Crouch sent off.

Hmm except we will be playing Liverpool twice in the space of about 10 days so the press can turn their attention to Torres bashing...god help him if he doesn't score at least a hattrick....

Good job we didn't get Cardiff really, would have been all we needed with current negative/Chelsea bashing hyped-up publicity...

That was the one I really wanted.

Liverpool are playing Man City only 48 hours earlier which has caused a bit of outrage http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2011/11/05/liverpool-fc-angry-after-carling-cup-tie-at-chelsea-is-scheduled-for-48-hours-after-manchester-city-clash-100252-29723591/2/

Not surprised to be honest, I can understand why they'd be annoyed. Then again if you look at the fixtures over the Christmas period we have been given a rough deal in comparison to other clubs.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/fixtures/default.stm That's tv's involvement for you.

We've got an important CL tie with Bayer Leverkusen 2 days after the Prem tie with them so they can cry me a river. Going to be sick of the sight of them after Christmas though. I seriously hope our team has their sh*t together by then though or Suarez will take the piss with all that space behind our lines.
