  1. The loss coming against Spurs. And the 4 wins coming once we replace Potter with a decent manager. We've got the players and a reasonable couple of fixtures after Spurs no reason we can't go on a good run and qualify for the Europa with 1 little tweak.
  2. This you? Not everyone's memory is as poor as your own but you were quite rightly ripped to shreds a couple of pages back because you did infact did claim results were no worse under Potter than Tuchel Page 220 if anyone wishes to look.
  3. You have no rationale or logic. Not surprising because you keep posting like you're in an alternate reality and making completely wrong statements like Potter's results with us are no worse than Tuchels. You're focusing on completely the wrong thing because you're focusing on Tuchel not Potter. Obviously Tuchel should have stayed but if Boehly absolutely couldn't work with him and he had to go for none football reasons you don't fire him days after a transfer window in which you've signed players specifically at his request. And if you do fire him you replace him with a manager with a similar record of success or at least a young upcoming manager showing great potential. If Boehly had waited a bit longer until we had a director of football we'd have likely done just that. What you don't do is replace him with a manager that has one of the worst records out of every PL manager to ever manage over 100 games and has never won a cup match against a PL team in 3 years just because he's the media flavour of the month who really shouldn't have been on a 20 or 30 man shortlist because there were simply so many better managers avaliable.
  4. I'm going to celebrate us winning games or scoring goals.
  5. Which is why it was baffling we sacked a manager that was Chelsea standard and hired one who in his previous job wasn't near Chelsea standard and who now seems to lower those standards on a weekly basis.
  6. What? I thought Sterling in particular was doing really well under Tuchel he was probably our best attacker early in the season. Then Potter played him at left wing back while playing Cucurella at centre back and both have struggled since. I'm not going to judge any of the signing until we have a competent manager. When everyone is playing poorly it isn't a player issue.
  7. I think the criticism about Tuchels signings in the summer is unfair as he barely got any time to work with them. Cucurella looked great in his first few games, Sterling was regularly scoring under Tuchel and Auba scored in his first couple of games. we sacked Tuchel, hired statistically one of the worst coaches in the league who has established himself as our worst ever manager and are now blaming Tuchel because his signings don't look good under said garbage manager when absolutely no one in the squad looks good other than Silva who's wife wants the manager sacked and says her husband would do better as player manager
  8. Sterling, Koulibaly and Fofana played in the bloody match!
  9. I don't think the fixtures themselves are that bad, after Tottenham we have leeds, Leicester, Everton, Villa and Wolves. we should win all of those games. The problem is they seem unwinnable with Potter because 4 of those clubs indisputably have better managers than Potter and Leeds will probably appoint someone like Big Sam who again is indisputably better than Potter. We have the talent in the squad to do really well but there's so much talent in the Premier league every team has talent in almost every position so often it comes down to a tactical battle and you're never going to back Potter over someone like Unai Emery or Lopetegui who have proven year after year they're better coaches than Potter. Why we scraped the bottom of the barrel when hiring a manager and clubs around the relegation zone were able to pick up coaches with fantastic records and resumes who have then turned their seasons turn around I'll never know
  10. I pray for the bravery to one day accept a £10m a year pay rise for a dream job I'm not qualified for and have no chance of ever being able to do adequately but will have to be compensated for 5 years no matter how badly I screw it up. It reads like we decided to hire Graham Potter because we knew we couldn't get a top manager so the questions are why we fired a top manager and why we have Potter such a ridiculous contract? Either that or Boehly thought Potter was a top manager but based on his career before coming here that's completely implausible.
  11. I'm not worried about relegation this season, I think Tuchel did enough to keep us up. I'm worried about relegation next season if Potter stays, he's nearly been relegated twice in his 3 full seasons in the PL and 2 wins in 15 games is a relegation record. results, heads and individual performances from new signings have continued to drop the longer the players have worked with Potter.
  12. Potter has history for this. Did a sh*t job most of his time at Brighton and when the Brighton supporters were booing him and calling for him to be sacked last year after they hadn't won in 11 games he kept making comments how he needs a history lesson because as a club Brighton are used to losing and they're higher now than they were before.
  13. I've never understood people who wanted Potter over Poch it was absurd to me then and is now, there's not even an argument that Potter has ever been half the manager but for some reason people like to pretend Potter did was something special at Brighton while downplaying all the achievements of Pochettino and I don't understand why. The strangest thing about it is that Poch did the exact job at Southampton that they think Potter did at Brighton. Poch took over a Southampton team heading towards relegation in January and guided them to a comfortable 14th before finishing 8th in his first full season playing great football, scoring a lot of goals and finishing with a superb goal difference. (Potter never finished with a positive goal difference in 3 years) He's got to a CL final, won trophies, probably should have won a title but Spurs. Didn't have a club so wouldn't have cost any compensation, plays attacking football that results in goals, loves living in London and openly wanted the job and unless Boehlys cut off is 48 he's still a young manager. Poch on a short term deal seemed the most obvious managerial change in years after Tuchel went.
  14. I've had the fireworks waiting for 3 months now.
  15. Ronaldo would have retired with about 50 career goals if he'd been coached by Potter his entire career.
  16. I think it's unfair to Judge Potter on results as Graham says it's very hard to win any game in the Premier league as the other team wants to win as well. the only way to judge a manager fairly is to ask if they're getting the most out of the talent they have avaliable. So I've decided to make a full comprehensive list of every player that has improved under Potter in his 6 months here. Here it is.
  17. I've realised why your support for Potter has finally started to waver. with Jorginho having left and Cucurella not being in the squad today you've ran out of scapegoats and have finally been forced to confront the unfortunate reality that our manager just isn't very good at winning football matches or coaching his teams towards the opposition goal.
  18. last week you said we'd at least challenge for a title next season and win it by the season after under Potter I believe you also asked me if I'd change my name when we win the title under Potter Now you're talking about us not getting enough points to avoid relegation? I know the performance was poor today but so poor it forced you into a Boris Johnson level U turn? Wow.
  19. We might get to see Kane break the PL scoring record.
  20. I agree the season is redeemable if we Sack Potter asap but what's frustrating is due to how the season has gone with other clubs we'd have walked into the top 4 with any of the 50 or 60 active managers who are better than Potter who all had better resumes prior to him coming here. I'm not even talking about an elite manager, I'd have kept Tuchel but even after Tommy left if we'd brought in Unai Emery, Poch, Brendan Rodgers, Pellegrini or even Big Sam we'd have salvaged something for the season. Giving the job to a manager with one of the worst records in Europe over the last 3 years who was regularly booed off by Brighton supporters and blindly backing him as some kind of long term project when he's never managed a decent side in his career and has got worse results with a small one than managers like Pulis, Big Sam, Dyche, Bielsa, Vieira, Dean smith, Nuno, Roberto Martinez (The list of managers with better records at small clubs than Potter really just goes on and on) and just hoping he'd perform with better players is one of the all time worst decisions in football and that was obvious at the time.
  21. This is the first time I've seen you make a post that didn't mention Jorginho. I'm proud of your progress.
  22. Many had already left or fell asleep by the fulltime whistle
  23. I don't think that's true. 1) the media are irrelevant, If Boehly is so pathetic he cares about the media reaction to his decisions when he needs to sell this football club immediately. 2) I don't think anyone would care about Potter being fired, his record is so bad it simply isn't even defendable by his mates in the media. I've noticed it online even the most looney Potter supporters don't even defend Potter they instead just say things like Arteta or talk about time and processes because they can't point to a single positive Graham has brought to the club his time here is simply indefensible it's actually got to the point so bad Potter got asked about being the worst manager in the clubs history in his post match today. 3) if Boehly is serious about winning I imagine the penny has dropped by now it will never happen with Potter, he's spent a lot of money on this squad and won't want to see it never qualify for the CL which it has no chance of doing in the next 5 years without a change of manager. He's comfortably the worst manager to ever manage a big 6 club in the Premier league era by every metric. But I think the main reason Potter will be sacked is because Bohely knows if he doesn't sack him the supporters will turn on the ownership. Every social media post by the club on every platform is just a constant barrage of Potter out, bring back Tuchel or blaming Boehly and wanting Roman back and it's the latter that Clearlake won't want to fester.
  24. I've never understood how people could type out posts like this when it's so blatantly untrue that anyone with eyes can see it or it can be easily disproved in seconds. How do you even argue against someone just denying reality? Results have got worse under Potter I'm not sure how anyone could have the audacity to post otherwise after we've won 2 out of our last 15 games and scored 4 goals in our last 10 in all comps. Tuchel has never had a run as bad as the run we're on now in his entire managerial career.
  25. Potter didn't do a particularly good job at Brighton His greatest strengths have always been being English and getting nice treatment from the media. It's something I picked up on last season, on the rare occasions Brighton would win 3 games in a row or draw with a decent side he'd have endless praised and be talked up as a future England manager or managing a big club When they'd go on long double digit winless runs were the Brighton supporters booed Potter off and wanted him sacked like they did in all 3 seasons under him the media would either ignore it or criticise the Brighton supporters. This is a man with a much worse resume than Big Sam but Boehly bought the media hype.
