  1. We're 16th in the league over the 17 games Potter has managed us. 3 of the 4 teams below us in that time have changed manager and have seen an improvement in results as well
  2. Anyone thinking Potter deserves until the end of the season just doesn't understand the sport. He isn't showing anything to suggest he's a manager that deserves or needs more time to implement something. He's a manager that's already failed and everyone can see it Players aren't Robots, we have so many young new signings trying to adjust to the league and Country, keeping the worst manager in the league for another couple of months makes that so much harder and may permanently damage the futures of Enzo, Mudryk and the rest of our young players here. The pressure is already mounting on them and they're facing unfair criticism. Not to mention our best chance of winning the CL and avoiding relegation mean Potter has to go now. Not one manager Roman ever sacked deserved sacking as much as Potter.
  3. Better to breach FFP than keep Potter. Either way we won't play in Europe.
  4. I was dreading the world cup break. The last thing this squad needed was more time working with Graham Potter. The longer every player works with Potter the worse they get.
  5. Potter hasn't been dealt a 7 and a 2 he was dealt pocket aces and folded. He's had every possible advantage, money, time, a patient owner with no expectations, a season wrote off for him to learn. Dyche was dealt a 7 and 2 coming into a club in the relegation zone who lost their best player, failed to sign anyone, had supporters protesting against the board and has Arsenal and Liverpool in his first 2 games having his team not won in 10 games. Dyche has won 2 out of his first 3 games with 2 clean sheets and Everton now have a clear style of play that may keep them up. You could give Potter any squad in the league, any amount of resources and he wouldn't challenge for a Europa league spot because there's just so many far better managers than him in the league. It isn't a player or situation issue. He's the issue.
  6. Wish people would stop comparing Potter to Moyes or Ole. Potter is far worse than both of them. Over the 17 league games Potter has managed we've scored 15 goals and are 16th in the league. 2 wins in our last 15 games in all comps. He's quite simply the worst manager in our 118 year history and the manager every terrible manager at a decent side will be compared to in the future.
  7. Bad news for us. Can see us being dragged into the fight without a change of leadership. If todays results hold We're 16th since Potter came in
  8. Potter has never shown anything in his career to suggest he's half the coach Sarri is. it was easy to see from day 1 how Sarri wanted to play and he did a fantastic job moulding the team to his style even if that style wasn't the most popular for some. Massively disrespectful to even mention Sarri in the same breath as Potter who has done nothing positive in 6 months.
  9. The few who defend Potter are more like a cult now they just randomly mention Arteta or talk about processes or time because the job he's actually done here in 6 months is utterly indefensible
  10. Do cup games not count? They won 5 of 14 games under Jones even beating City in a cul quarterfinal. As opposed to Potter who got knocked out in both cups in the first round without scoring a goal
  11. Reminder that Southampton just sacked Nathan Jones after 14 games who had a much better record in his 14 games than Potter had at Brighton or has had here.
  12. He threatened to attack so Potter had to take him off. As my Brighton supporting mate told me in the summer dull Graham only likes sideways passing which is why he got booed off by his own supporters last season.
  13. Should have been sacked during the world cup break. Really should never have been hired at all. I can't stand the argument he should last until the end of the season and there's no point sacking him now. Players aren't robots, allowing a manager as bad as Graham Potter to have another couple months with players like Mudryk, Enzo and the rest of our young promising squad will damage careers. There's already unfair pressure mounting on them making it that much harder for them to adjust. Potter out. Poch in until the end of the season to have a real go in the CL and then reassess.
  14. I don't like the term Potter hater I don't hate Potter, I hate that he's our manager Thought he was very medicore at best at Brighton and didn't deserve much praise there and don't get what people see in him now. He just isn't a good manager by any metric
  15. Awful first half of football, but at least we have a manager known for improving his teams at half time. Imagine if we had the worst manager in the league who's results and team performances always got worse in the 2nd half?
  16. By far the worst manager in the clubs history. Potter will be known as the standard for bad managers at big clubs for years to come. He makes Moyes look like Mourinho.
  17. Not as tedious as our play. We'd all love to comment on the goals we score or our wonderful play under Potter. But none of our match threads would reach 3 pages
  18. Don't think you can judge any player when they're playing under the worst coach in the clubs history. Our whole squad can't be this bad, when everyone looks terrible it isn't the players.
  19. Want to turn this shower of sh*te off already. But I know if I miss a goal it's usually 2 or 3 weeks until a Graham Potter team scores another one so it's a dilemma
  20. We have by far the worst manager in the league. Fully expect Potter to be managing in the championship in 5 years just hopefully not us. He's been here 6 months and we've won 4 games were our keeper wasn't man of match it's shocking. Outplayed almost every week regardless of opposition.
  21. Most of it from the owner to the manager to the squad compared to how it was a few years ago also falls under the category of Decline. The word transition is a horrible buzzword that crept into football a decade or so ago, it's one of those throwaway words like project or process that always gets thrown around when a club is doing badly without having any actual meaning. Almost every club on the planet is essentially in transition every season because transition means change and no club remains completely static howeever the word only comes about when teams are struggling like every struggling team will improve if given enough time with a new change that clearly isn't working. Manchester United supporters have used the word transition for a decade now during multiple "projects" when does the word transition stop being used and people just accept the club has declined? On the flip side Conte got us playing a back 3 for the first time mid season but because he was winning games there was no talk of transitions or projects just simply a manager getting the most out of the talent at his disposal. It's very easy to talk about "Transitions" but where are the signs we're actually transitioning to something positive?
  22. Ridiculous comment. We scored 76 goals in 38 league games under Tuchel last season. 8 in 6 this season. We've scored 12 in Potters last 19 games including failing to score in both domestic cups and the CL It we couldn't score under Tuchel I'd love to know how Potters lack of ability to coach his teams to score over the last decade can still be undecided. I don't agree we're in a transition either, transition periods are for good managers that need time to get their ideas across but there's a precedent given enough time they can build a winning side Potters dismal record over the last 6 years and the lack of actual innovation or anything of substance we're seeing on the pitch suggests a decline under a very poor manager rather than a transition
  23. If Potter had joined United in the Summer Rashford would have 2 goals this season and his fan club would be saying he needs another 100m new forward and it's not Potters fault Rashford can't score because he was poor last season. God Forbid a manager actually improve the players he's working with. Strange though that Ten Haag is getting good performances out of Rashford and Shaw. isn't he aware he has to replace the whole squad and that there's a 3 year process before he's allowed to win games?
  24. We had to drop a player from our squad but it didn't have to be Auba or a new summer signing. It could have been anybody. There's absolutely no reason to have dropped Auba given the makeup of our squad and lack of strikers. It should have been Pulisic given he's not only injured but would be 6th choice at best if he was fit. I don't even rate Auba but it's terrible management to name a squad with absolutely no strikers when we struggle to score goals and have multiple injured players in it
