Yup. If we hadnt sold werner, last season we wouldnt have been nearly as bad as we were. Always thought that was a mistake.

Muhamed Kudus
Sterling would seem like an absolutely great shout for a saudi move once he realises how downhill his performances have gone, but id suspect he currently hasnt accepted that hes on a downward spiral.

Seems to me that we are low balling them considering this alleged release fee is quite the bargain anyway. I give up trying to work out our recruitment strategy. Straight in to sign up loanee kids with no messing at all, then first team players .....lets give them a tickle and annoy them, before we actually put an acceptable offer in... 🙄

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
I do think we are at a point where we either pay the money or walk away. Im absolutely sick of hearing about this saga. The situation we find ourselves in is self made. Brighton are taking the piss but also that is negotiations for you and we have been too slow to shut it down. Why has it taken so long to get to a point where we are now considering a 90mil offer for him? In the beginning bright said 100 so why didnt we sit around a table and negotiate something that meets in the middle? Now at this point so much water under the bridge and brighton are fed up and digging their heels in. I absolutely blame our side for not taking any control in these negotiations, whilst throwing money left right and centre at unproven 18 year olds. What message does all this send. Yes brighton are c**ts but our recruitment/owners are fking clueless. Now Get the deal done. We need him and youve wasted too much time already.

Muhamed Kudus
So kudas will go to brighton for 39mil, then in a years time, we will probably hit brighton up about signing him and be quoted 80 mil. We actually really need a player like kudas right now to compete with maduake on the right side so if we let the kudas opportunity pass us by then we better be very certain of signing olise, because we really need one of them.

Remember when we thought city were trying to sign cucurelĺa so jumped in with big money......hope it works out a bit better this time aye 😆

Only by his mother and chosen nation to represent.

Who will be cut from the squad?
I wouldnt disagree with anything the majority are suggesting, but id like to see cucurella loaned out to somewhere he can thrive (to increase his sale price) and hall kept as our number 2 left back. Chilwell will inevitably suffer injuries and time out which will give hall or maatsen ample opportunity.

Kylian Mbappé
Ive always skipped mbappe/chelsea news stories as given his valuation and wages, its really not something i think we'd entertain these days. But i must say that once a loan was mentioned ive started to take more notice. If you look at the whole situation with him, his club and his future plans, a loan to the prem for this season really makes alot of sense. Psg need to try and manage their losses, the prem is a league with money and the motivation to take him for a season. If the alternative is psg paying mbappes wages in full for the season whilst mbappe rots in the background then it would seem to be a lose lose for everyone. Add to that, chelsea are not a champions league threat to psg this year so they are not strengthening an opponent. It might all be b.s but i do believe bohely craves a signing opportunity like this.

Axel Disasi *Official*
Questionable priorities once again. If this means the end of chalobah then we have it all wrong. Hes the perfect squad player. Happy to cover any position, loves the club and wants to stay. And we will no doubt send him packing whilst completely un-needed big earning, under performing cucurella gets to stay. If any sale is funding disasi then it should be him.

Welcome Lesley Ugochukwu
With the completion of our pre season games approaching, and the new season only a couple of weeks away, its very hard to get your head around what this new ownership is thinking. Ofcourse signing young prospects is a sound long term strategy, but we have huge holes in our senior squad and its seeming that there is no definite urgency to get around tables and thrash these deals out one way or another, even after Pochettino has politely asked for similar. Caicedo, lavia, Kudus, olise, seems to me priority is signing 1 of the first 2 and one of the second 2, so why are we possibly spending decent money on this rennes midfielder whilst priority signings are still hanging in the balance? Priorities are all wrong.

Judging by our transfer strategy im convinced jeffrey epstein is alive and running our club 🙄

Chelsea 23/24 Season Friendlies Match Thread
Do we have any theories or injury news on colwil which kept him out of the newcastle friendly? Football london speculating a deal is being done for caicedo with colwin included. I'm getting rather rattled at the idea our clueless owners might be cooking up a deal with brighton. If they get their hands on colwil now after all the disrespect which has been thrown, then i'll throw every toy out the pram. Id rather keep colwil and go elsewhere for a midfielder.

Marc Cucurella
He in no way fits into this team. He is 4th choice left back clearly, Surely Pochettino will see this and get rid....surely.

If a loan does happen Id be reluctant to send casadei to a serie A side. They violate his ears with their italia b.s and before you know it we have a player refusing to return and we sell at a lossto said italian team 😄

Chelsea 23/24 Season Friendlies Match Thread
Cucurellà absolutely HAS to go this window. If we cannot get half our money back on him then lets atleast loan him to a club where he may succeed and put some value back on his name, brighton loan as part of a caicedo deal?? Sterling should go too but im not optomistic hes going anywhere this season.

Random Rumours
The saudi bid for mbappe is rediculous. Mbappe is in the final year of his contract with no intentions of signing an extension, whilst psg are literally now openly desperate to flog the player so they get a return for him, of which only a handful of elite clubs could ever afford his wage demands . So regardless of past valuations, you could literally never get a more clear example where its a total buyers market. Why would anyone bid 300 mil when psg are doing well to get 80.mil for him at this point. They have no leverage what so ever. The saudi offer makes little sense, its like buying a fire damaged house for the value it was before the fire.

Would be great business at that price. A good season with us and his valuation instantly doubles. Also probably the confirmation that angelo will head out on loan.

Chelsea 23/24 Season Friendlies Match Thread
Cucurella plays like an adhd 8 year old is bashing the control pad on a game of fifa. I feel cucurella being a chelsea player at this point is a huge inconvenience. We have 2 excellent and versatile youngsters right now in maatsen and hall, who without question i would rather see at left back than cucurella. I dont really want to entertain the idea of banishing either of them this season. Not to mention the financial benefit of cutting our losses on cucurella and his generous wage. He has to go, isnt maatsen in the last year of his contract? Give him some assurances of a future for us and sign him up.

Conor Gallagher
if we sell gallacher for any amount i will be beyond angry. It sounds like Pochettino is very keen to keep him and work with him, and the player is keen to stay and prove himself. If he is sold then it would appear that its against Pochettino's wishes. This would be a very big red flag for me as far as our owners go, and i wouldnt blame Pochettino for walking away at that point tbh. Its beyond frustrating that we do not have enough senior players to thrive this season, and then you read that we are trying to make deals to buy promising players, only to loan them back to their club for the season. Seriously what are we doing? My frustration is growing.

I would assume Pochettino is having a good look at santos during the u.s tour as to whether he is ready to cover that dcm you mentioned? I would have liked to see us use lukaku to do a deal for barella, this is the level of established player we are crying out for imo, but that opportunity has seemingly passed now. Cherki would seem to cover a few of the positions you mentioned, whether he has the workrate seems to be the question.

This whole time i have taken much peace of mind from the fact that we have some very experienced and competent men running our transfers and recruitment. However it has now occurred to me that they seem very narrow in their search for players, as in age wise, and surely that is due to the parameters set by their bosses, who dont know football. We seem to be showing little to no interest in more experienced players and i'm pretty sure that is going to cost us majorly next season. I'm not sure how many fans are happy to write off this season as one for progression with little chance of a top 4 finish? But unless we make 3 more very good signings including caicedo, a real good mount replacement and say a harry kane level striker, then i think we are going to need alot of patience and understanding this season.

I'm starting to get the sweats over this transfer window tbh. Caicedo seems like a never ending saga, whilst we virtually have an under 21 side who will get bullied and out foxed by so many teams, and now stories of west ham opening talks for gallacher. Now im not the biggest gallacher fan but given the senior midfield options right now.... i am truly beginning to think these owners have gotten carried away (once again) and we are indeed heading for a very difficult season. Physical teams are going to walk though us, caicedo is essential, but im not convinced we have a plan b other than an 18 year old lavia. These americans do not know football, its so evident.

Much like man utd played the mount transfer. Offer on the table but we are going to look at alternatives if this doesnt go anywhere.

We need to play hardball with brighton and walk away. The player wants to join us and in reality no other club is interested in caicedo at 100 mil. We are weak if we pay this, 80 mil is generous. Lavia seems like the obvious direction to head if hes not fully sold on the scousers.
