I think a backup goalkeeper, a left back and a winger are our main priorities. From what I've seen of Hilario, he just doesn't seem like he'll hack it if Cech see's a long injury. I can't think of a half decent goalkeeper who would sign as a backup though. At right back we have Bosingwa, Mancienne, Ivanovic, Paulo, Beletti (Essien??)...last season we were having a right back crisis!!! Seems like some of these players should leave, my choice being Beletti and Paulo (as long as we bring in cover for left back). While Beletti does offer something in midfield, I think we have enough midfielders to cope without him. Centre-backs I think are fine as they are: Terry, Carvahlo, Alex, Mancienne, Ivanovic Left Back: Ashley Cole...definitely need something extra here. Zhirkov would be great! Central Midfield: Lampard, Essien,Deco, Mikel, Ballack. Despite his crap performances, i really think there is something to come from Deco...he showed us his quality at the beginning of the season, but hasn't performed at all since. I think if Ballack goes, Deco may flourish...but he may just prove me wrong and be a £100k/week dud (very likely). Wings: J.Cole, Kalou, Malouda, Quaresma, Stoch. I don't see Quaresma staying - Inter will try and rob us blind if we enquire, after all the Italians see bags of money when someone mentions the premiership. Malouda has found some form under Guus and if he stays, we may even see the Malouda that Lyon had - I think we'll have to keep him, just to see how things turn out. Kalou has got some crucial goals for us and he's still young and developing. Stoch is really an unknown quantity to me, only seen his face a handful of times and only really remember him playing once. Like i said before, Zhirkov would be my ideal signing. Sebastian Giovinco, while not strictly a winger seems really good (albeit a bit small) from what I've seen too. Strikers: Drogba, Anelka, Di Santo. Would get rid of Anelka really and look for someone more like Drogba...Di Santo. Not sure of Di Santo, hasn't had much playing time and doesn't look like he will be any time soon. I doubt we'll realistically be selling Anelka,but I would look to add to the squad with players like Pogrebnyak or the Ukranian Milevskiy - both young with plenty of potential and most importantly, Russian (sort of). Or maybe even Hulk.

Very much agree with you. Complacency is one of our biggest worries and is the only thing that will prevent us going through. Obviously we are more than capable of not letting Liverpool get 3 goals at the Bridge and the result against Bolton should have been a wake-up call. The Manager won't let it be a problem for Liverpool.

I wouldn't play Anelka on the right - he'd be useless. Would have to be Kalou or Quaresma. As for Malouda tracking back...dream on!! The right side of their attack will be very dangerous if Florent is on the left, especially considering Ashley isnt in the best form of his life.

CHELSEA SAY NO TO ANCELOTTI please?! He's won the Champs League twice and thats about it. He's dropped Milan into the UEFA Cup - wasn't Scolari sacked for fear that his might happen? Milan's always played second fiddle to Inter and Juventus since he's been in charge - has he ever won the league?? He has no real experience of the Premier League and I can see him turning into another Scolari. His signings: Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, Beckham??? All players who are past it...just what we need. If his past record is anything to go by, he is a million miles from our ideal manager (Jose or Guus)...I don't want to take anything away from him, 2 Champs Leagues and 2nd in Serie A is quite an acheivement, but he did this with arguably one of the best teams in the world at the time (and Serie A is no way near as intense as the Premier League really). Chelsea are in need of strengthening and if rumours of a summer clear-out are true, I'd hate to see who he'd bring in...Gilberto Silva, Maldini?? The article is from the Sun, but we know he is one of our targets so it is possible - I just hope its not true, would rather have Rijkaard...

While I'd love to see Mancienne play, I'm not so sure he'd get a look in with Paulo, Ivanovic and Belletti able to play right back. This is really a 'make or break' game for our season and i doubt the manager would risk it.

Bosingwa's definitely out, will be nice to see how Ivanovic does at right back though
