  1. It was all chelseas fault. Have you not seen the pics ? Expert us to be kicked out of Europe very soon.
  2. wasnt that a line in a Bond film ?
  3. I think your right Just. In fact i think if we pull it off next week it will be Mourinhos greatest result as Chelsea boss. As a 0-0 will be sufficent for them i hope they sit back, but i cant see it. Our best bet is to weather the early storm perhaps silence the crowd with a few chances and then hit them second half. We need to be at our best, we need to keep the ball away from them and and most importantly we need our big players need to step up. One thing for sure - its going to be nail biting
  4. and for Lampards scarf
  5. hmm, sorry i forgot that jt and drogs just stand there waiting for the ball to come near them so they can jump dont they
  6. no matter what happened beforehand , what that plod did is f**king disgraceful will be VERY interesting to see what a happens after this.
  7. It kinda helps if they actually go near Chelsea players!
  8. on championship manager maybe but not in games im currently watching. there was one tonight 2nd half where it was around 30 yards out and we pilled jt and riccy forward and i saw him tip tapping his feet and i turned to the missus and said 'please dont make him shoot' , and sure enough he shot and it bounced of a player about 9 yards away. infuriating, mainly because it was so predictable. his corners were crap too. still, keep your head up frank!!
  9. Del NoNos was a foul. However Aylas was more of an assault!!! I cannot believe not even a free kick was given!! Other than that he defended really well, uncompromising to say the least but really well. From that bruise on his face looks like someone had given him a smack recently too!!! Overall its not the result we wanted but its no disaster. Clearly we have our work cut out as Valencia are a top, top team , but we can do this - remember 3 years ago, same result, against a team we hadnt beaten for ages ? It can be done. One goal is what we need. It can be done. Lets not be scared about falling a goal behind - we simply have to score. Robben was a huge miss wasnt he? Cole is clearly weeks away from full fitness and quite what the point of bringing SWP heavens only knows. The commitment will be there, i just hope so the creativity will be too. From who though ? That is the question. But we, can do this. 2-2 in the Nou Camp remember. f**k me id bite your hand off for that now. But, its there for us. We can do it. Im sure. Please let us get through i so want to play those c**ts in the semi.

yeah yeah yeah - whatever. im a decent geezer and to be fair i had a long think about it and its taking the piss really to stick my missus on a train home on her own after a anniversary weekend away. yes, i hate to say it the missus has won over chelsea for once. it was just an impossible situation and i am now faced with the ridiculous situation of leaving manchester just as all the chelsea mob are arriving. what can i do ? i guess she has suffered enough over the years so fairs fair! first time ive missed an fa cup semi since villa a park in 96 but hey ho. the semi is one thing but the final. now that i really am mad about. anyone know any good bars in gozo? thats right, f**king gozo
  11. that is, indeed a quite stunning goal

so do you want me to see if i can get a ticket still ? its no go for me im afraid. i put it to the missus and she laughed. no semi, and no cup final. This means Glasgow is a definite.
  13. Glenda for me too, he was tactically and technically the best boss we have ever had. However he lost the press and from that moment on hr never stood a chance - the way he was hounded out was awful. He will never get the gig again though. Wenger is a good shout, because it pains me to say it he is a top manager but also because it would screw up Arsenal and at least we wouldnt have to put up with his constant snide pops at Chelsea.
  14. I also think the vilification has a huge anti-Chelsea element to it. It will be JT next mark my words. Just wait wait for the Gerrard for captain lobby to start - in fact im sure Alan Green has started it. The abuse Frank is getting now is scandalous. I can take people criticising if its sensible and balanced, but we are talking about vicious, personal attacks now. I can really see Frank f**king off at the end of the season because of it and i wont hold it against him if he does. No-one has to put up with this. What we are getting i reckon is a mix of two things. Firstly there is a real feeling of resentment towards the 'big four' and the way they are percived as running and ruining the game in this country. What better way of the fans of the non-big four clubs to have a pop at them by having a go at their players when they lay for England. Ferdinand gets his share, so does Rooney, Carrick etc. Gerrard has plenty of critics. Lets face it, it must be a lot more pleasureable laying into a player who plays for Man Utd or Chelsea than it is for one who plays for West Ham or Portsmouth. Secondly, and keeping with the 'big four' - as we know the 3 red teams arent best happy about the new boys on the block. Over the last 3 years there has been a massive level of 'throwing the toys out of the pram because we dont have the monoply anymore' aimed at Chelsea and of course lots of silly things made up about them in pure resentment, and again what better way to have a pop than at their players who represent England. All in all its somethnig i think we should get used to. Lets face it it was never like this when we were all thrilled that Davey Beasant was Englands 3rd choice keeper!!!! I reckon over time and as Chelsea establish themselves in the new order it may die down but right now there is just such a huge element of bitter resentment against us and it seems that Frank may well be taking the brunt of it. Sorry to the thread starter, ive digressed slightly from the original subject.
  15. I will never let my Chelsea tinted sunglasses blind my view and I will be the first to admit Frank has been very ineffective for England for around 18 months now. However what i find so confusing is that so many people think dropping Frank and playing Stevens will suddenly turn us into world beaters and Stevens will lead England to glory much the same way Maradona did do the Argies in 1986. Ive seen nothing from Gerrard for England (oh, and last night doesnt count) Well, all ive seen is a stunning lack of positional discipline and a stunning amount of wasted possession. For about 5 years now. So, to answer the question can they play together. Well, no i dont think they can. A bit like the situation Frank is in now at his club with a certain German. But which one to play ? Who goes ? Well it seems the media darling will get his way, but i dont know why ? On what evidence. Frank is currently the scapegoat. Our country loves to have one. This time last year it was Hargreaves and now the same people who were having a pop at him are saying his is the most important player we have. Just the way the same people who voted Frank Englands player of the year for 2 years running are wearing this. As Chelsea fan it just makes me want to support Frank more and makes me want to hate England more. I cast my mind back to 1998 and the sh*t Beckham got after the World Cup. I remember the Man Utd fans singing 'Arg-en-tina' and 'You can stuff your England up your arse'. I remember like most people being appalled but i now know where they were coming from. They were just sticking up for their man under farcical vitriolic circumstances. And i feel like doing the same. Sorry, i know ive gone off topic but i dont care. f**k England.

I know the feeling - check this one out. Its our anniversarry that weekend. The missus has booked us in the Lowry Hotel and tickets to see the The Prodcuers with Peter Kay in, wait for it... Manchester. I now have to get convince her to let me leave her at Manchester Piccadilly Satation to get a train from Manchester back to Leamington at midday on the Sunday whilst I f**k off to Old Trafford. I think my best bet will to offer to pay for a first class upgrade. Im going to ply her with chablis tommorow night and put it to her. I will keep you updated. Shes owes me anyway. I think ive told some of you, but you'll never guess when shes booked a f**king holiday for us....

mick i will get yours like before (if i get through) how you planning on getting there/back ?
  19. Try looking two posts above your one i did bb but i couldnt hear it on that vid
  20. i was standing right in frint of you laughing not sure if it will catch on though!!!! just heard strollin (thanks), it seems a strange song to sing on the terraces. still its worth a go. reminds me a bit of coventrys 'lets all sing together'
  21. I still havent heard the orginal strollin song - does anyone know where i might be able to hear it ? Whether or not it takes off or not, the idea for this shed 50 and strollin' should still be applauded. Heres to many more... I cant wait for the Bolton game to see how it pans out (too scared to be in the 50 though!) Im a singer but ive never started a song in my life , im always so scared that no-one else will join in and i will get laughed at! maybe a few more stellas beforehand might help! I heard some guys in the Peli after the Sperz game singing a version of liverfools 'f**k off cfc you aint got no history etc' song that i thought was ace. however considering its content im not sure if it will take off!
  22. He is under increasing pressure to drop Lampard or Gerrard (with Lamps the favorite) , however im not sure if he will in this game as the result is a given and will not be a proper gauge. In fact, as its McClaren, expect anything. i go. P.Robinson C.Riggot S.Parnaby L.Cattermole P.Neville J.Morrison M.Christie S.Downing (Capt) T.Nugent T.Mooney C.Church
  23. how stupid. reminds me of this game in a way. my dad was there and said he had never seen a ref lose the plot like this geezer did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6wl7QtC7ns
  24. Whilst even the most diehard of Chelsea fans will struggle to deny that Lamps has been sh*te for England for the best part of a year now i find it galling that he gets all the stick for the midfield problems whilst media darling Ickle Stevie is untouched. Obviously i am aware that a part of this stems from this countrys insaitable urge to have a scapegoat but as poor as Lampard has been i find it hard to fathom what excatly Ickle Stevie brings to England. From what i can see he losses possesion most of the time hits 70 yards pases to no-one and plays out of the position he is asked thus putting the team in danger. Yes, he is being played out wide, but doesnt he do this for the Mousers too ? He seems to manage to do as is asked there so why not England , and why is this not picked up on ? As a whole England games are a chore now for me. And they seem to be for a lot of the players too. Some of them seem to play with the weight of the world on their shoulders. I do not deny that they are proud to wear the white shirt but the expectation placed on them is starting to become a huge burden. I hate to say it but i would imagine some of those lads dread England get togethers. So we find ourselves in the very real propspect of not qualifying for Euro 08. Whilst the thought of a major Championship with England is horrible i can think of 3 positive things that might stem from our absence. 1 - Mclaren goes. Say what you will about Sven but at least we used to win our qualifiers. 2 - At the tournament itself we dont have to put up with silly hype, Union Jacks on cars , followed by sh*te football, struggling to get out of our group then getting knocked out by the first good team we meet (on pens) 3 - The FA might actually realise we have a very real problem in this country and do something about the way our kids are taught to play football, starting at the very bottom. Roll on Saturday and the domestic fixtures please...
