Interesting watching Paperview that today was not a one-off. AVB has decided to invoke the 48 hour rule with regard to his pressers so it will always be on a Thursday for a Saturday game. I can see the logic behind the decision but not sure i'm in love with it from a selfish point of view, i'm obviously behind whatever AVB thinks is optimal for the match preparation.

Hadn't seen this, made a thread in Youths and Reserves. Milan is full of enthusiasm and will run all day, doesn't know the meaning of a lost cause. I think he'll suit at Doncaster with their playing style. I'm hoping he does well and it gets extended, i'm wondering if he'll go straight into their starting line-up and whetehr he will play wide or up front.

A few good performances from our lads and Sunderland were pretty decent as well. I think a few of the Sunderland side were from the youth side we beat first round last year but this side were much better at keeping the ball. I'd like to see Rhys Taylor get a move out on loan to allow Jamal get a full season of reserves football. I'm glad that Dermot has stepped up, hopefully some of his youth side do so with him, a lot of them are of a higher standard than the bracket ahead of them in my opinion.

The drop in quality from Cech to Hilario/Turnbull should have little to no relevance to whether we beat West Brom and Norwich or not.

Ferdinand never went a game without making a kistake before he was 24, it comes with the territory of being a ball playing CB. Luiz will mature into one of the best CB's in the game and he's at the right club and alongside the right man (JT] to do it. Take anything the media say, including criticism, with a pinch of salt. He will make mistakes every now and then but they will become less and less frequent as he matures, you'd still rather have a player like him than a CB who's default is to aimlessly hoof the ball 60 yards at every opportunity.

I don't resent City growing and not sure I can ever see myself hating them as I do United and Liverpool. Having them around could actually play a big part in us changing as a club (already signs of that by appointing a young manager and buying young talent) and Roman being more objective when evaluating results at the end of a season.

Who says his attitude is bad? He'd be well within his rights to be making noises within Arsenal as to wtf is going on. In fact Arsenal would probably be in a better position if more players had the same attitude rather than the "Yes Arsene, sure Arsene, three bags full Arsene" that seems to be more common. Nasri was likely made promises when he signed on at Arsenal, if he was you can be pretty sure none of them have been delivered since.

If it comes down to a battle between us and Arsenal for Mata I do hope he thinks long and hard about the decision. Maybe he should look at Cesc who came on for ten minutes tonight and won more trophies than he did in the last 6 years at Arsenal....
