  1. Nasri, good player but just not what we need, glad we're staying clear.
  2. Due here > http://www.chelseafc...sconf-newspromo in around 40 minutes.
  3. Horrible attitude. They should be glad to have a player of Yury's quality. For a club with so much money and potential as a result of it, their fans are going to need to open their narrow minds if they are to realise that potential.
  4. Kalas and Chalobah are going to be keeping us safe for many a year to come.
  5. Did Maka pack a pair of boots?
  6. There are only a limited amount of designated spots available in the calendar for friendlies as it is. While this weeks friendlies were inconvenient for clubs they were far from pointless which was my original point. I agree, for me also it is club before country (only just mind) but that doesn't mean i'm ignorant to the rights of national sides. For the majority of the national sides they have upcoming qualifying games and may not have been together for 4/5 months. It's the overall footballing calendar that needs looking at.
  7. You could say the same about pre-season friendlies but they also have a purpose. International managers are well within their rights to have friendlies for whatever reason they want whether it be to try something new in a game where nothing is at risk or just generally to shape their side ahead of competitive games.
  8. He's already at one.
  9. To be fair, they're not pointless. Inconvenient sure.
  10. Yeah and he's already made noises that his dream is to play for Barca, sigh.
  11. You're being incredibly harsh on Tore and Mancienne there. Neither were terrible or anything close to it. Hamburg are a young side playing away to the champions, hardly a fair barometer on which to judge them in any case.
  12. He scored again for Anderlecht tonight, I think that's 2 in 2 this season.
  13. I agree Nico has looked sharp in pre-season, he was also the player that linked best with Torres last season.
  14. I keep going back and forth about which of the two i'd rather keep in the long term if forced to choose, I think i'd opt to keep PVA. I'd like to see Ryan on loan for a full year at this level, he'd be well worked at QPR that's for sure.
  15. Second that, it must have been a huge buzz for him to carry the trophy for the presentation.
  16. I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to play 2 up top more than we've been lead to believe. We did try the diamond on occasion in pre-season.
  17. Hutch, I was going to PM you but I did the crime in this thread so thought best to attempt to put it right in the same place. I won't be ignoring your posts any longer. A few of your posts did rub me up the wrong way but maybe that's partially my fault also, I should be more tolerant. Anyway, I didn't need to be sarcastic and I certainly didn't need to fight fire with fire after your response even though I think your response was out of order. I'll wipe the slate clean and take your posts on merit from here on in, i'd appreciate it if you'd do the same.
  18. Yes I did mention both nationally homegrown and Chelsea homegrown, although I did mud the water with an incorrect example of a loan to Bolton. The Champions League homegrows of needing 4 Chelsea homegrowns should always be the main concern because we should never really be that badly caught for nationals, well you'd hope not. I think i'm right in saying that if you don't have the required amount of homegrowns (this is for both domestically and Champions League) that you are forced to leave a vacant space in what would otherwise be your 25 man squad. Rajkovic is not homegrown by any definition though, that is clear
  19. You have to be at the club for 3 unbroken years before the age of 21 to count as homegrown for that club. Even if we had loaned him to say Bolton (impossible due to work permit but work with me) he'd still only count as nationally homegrown and not Chelsea homegrown. The rules are in place like this to try and get clubs to nurture their own talent, if the rules were how you thought they were there'd be nothing to stop the biggest clubs scooping up every young talent, loaning them out and then taking the best of the bunch back as homegrown.
  20. He doesn't meet homegrown criteria.
  21. Modric would fit better in a 4-3-3. To get the best out of Sneijder you'd have to play a 4-2-3-1 or a diamond.
  22. ScandiBlue replied to Zola's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
More likely the press just making stuff up because they are frustrated that we're keeping things in-house with transfers, we're not giving them much to go on so they have to resort to guessing games. Anyway, if Pato wants a new contract all he has to do is get his mrs to have a word with daddy!
  23. I was being sarcastic because you were stating the obvious and representing it as a guess. Seeing as the club stated that they'd be applying for a work permit that would expectedly get turned down but appealed due to special circumstances (ie the talent he's shown in pre season) and that if that was rejected then he'd be forced to go back out on loan abroad. I don't take kindly to being called a c**t either. I suggest you get out more. Everday when I read this section every second post is yours, I wish there was an ignore button. I think you're a f**king idiot who thinks he knows it all. Several times i've seen someone post something only for you to point out to them that you already mentioned it elsewhere and then you come out with some bullsh*t like "why do I bother", well i'd be happy if you didn't f**king bother.
