This is our last summer to get him in for him to count as Chelsea homegrown (as long as we don't loan him out) If we're not buying a winger (meaning Sturridge, Anelka and Kalou will play wide a lot of the time) then I think we just about have room for him in the squad, with the added bonus that he is U-21 so wouldn't need to be registered in the 25 man squad which we're struggling with. I say get him in now, even if he only plays 25 games this season. Him being Chelsea homegrown would be a huge plus in years to come. Of course there's a possible added benefit in that he could tell his buddy Eden Hazard how great it is at the club come next summer when he himself is likely to be on the move.

Then you've not seen enough of him. I mean he's 23, Barca are more than willing to let him go and they're not being overrun with offers despite not demanding much of a fee.

I fear he might have lost the dressing room after the Wilkins debacle. Carlo was in am unbelievably strong position after winning the double and sitting five points clear at the top of the table when Wilkins was let go,if he wanted Wilkins to remain at the club all it would have taken was a "if he goes,I go" and I think this is the approach some of the players would have expected and having done nothing of the kind he might just have lost the respect of a lot of them. Carlo's body language is also worrying as is the fact he now spends the whole game standing isolated in his technical are when before he was constantly sat down in discussion with Ray,it's almost as if he is sending a message that he isn't happy with who is sitting alongside him,but all that does is reinforce the fact that,if true he should have fought even more for Ray.

I think he certainly meant that there's no way he was going to play for Chelsea right now,which he is right in saying. I think he has a chance of making it at the club and a good period out on loan will do him the world of good. Ray is a nice bloke but i'm not sure how great of a coach he is and i'm not even sure he did much coaching at the club. Obviously things have been handled poorly but the decision itself is completely acceptable. I really hope Michael Emenalo gets the job,I have always been hugely impressed by him and love his pieces on the opposition on Friday Night Live.

Is it correct that both Ivanovic and Boswinga are out of contract at the end of the season? Anybody else worried about potentially losing either of these guys,especially Brana who wouldn't be short of options and options that might guarrantee him he plays in his preferred position at centre-back. I can understand the club wanting Boswinga to prove his fitness before putting an offer on the table but surely Ivanovic should have been tied up by now?

He isn't really injury-prone. He had one season of injuries and was never given the chance to fully recover because Liverpool kept rushing him back because they were so impotent without him. I'd love to sign him,I do worry that it might mean Drogba heading to Madrid,I recall him saying while at Marseille that playing for Madrid was a dream of his and we all know how tight he is with Jose.
