Someone was bound to start a thread like this so I thought I might as well try and start a rational one rather than a 'Get that useless C**T out' be started.

Whether or not you agree that sacking him would t be a wise decision my personal opinion is that the two games coming up against Utd and Tottenham might decide whether or not he sees it to Xmas as the Chelsea manager.

There appears to be a real lack of belief and spirit in the squad right now and, when the chips are down, there is little evidence that Carlo is making changes to try and rectify the situation.

This is a dreadful run of form we are in and two more bad results could potentially see us out of the top four and possibly, at best, a long shot for the title. Roman is unlikely to tolerate that.

If we do sack him it will be the worst decision we have made in years, worse than letting Jose go in my opinion. He is here to do more than just win games, hes here to rebuild a squad and attempt to bring our youth players through. He should be given the opportunity to do that, whether it takes 2, 3 or 4 years. Maybe that double win last season wasnt such a good thing for him, set expectations a bit too high.

Fair point Loz. Have you considered that he might actually want that at this point? A golden handshake and a ticket out of our circus. Of course it could be nothing more than form and confidence too. We ran into a similar sticky patch around this time last year. Difference was that last season we had a decent run of fixtures in which to find some form. Not so this time around.

Roman has f*cked us over once again. He will never realise it so all the blame will go on Ancelotti, but there is no doubt the sacking of Wilkins started this mess off. And Carlo will be off soon aswell, eighter sacked or leaves on his own.

Agree with dkw. Some people have very short memories. This run of poor form isnt going to be permanent, it would be a terrible decision!!

Well if his idea of building a squad for years to come is by starting Kalou over and over, then he needs to go. How can you build a squad for the future if Sturridge, Kakuta, and josh never play?

Sorry I meant to add that although I agree that your theory might be correct I also agree with Dkw that it would be a terrible decision by the club if they did this. So basically I agree that it is possible but I won't agree with the decision if it does happen.

That's actually a frightening thought. That Carlo Ancelotti is simply going through the motions and is quietly working away at getting the sack... I'll let someone else fill in his possible reasons behind wanting out of Stamford Bridge.

Its hard to argue with that. After Sunderland, Newcastle and this game were really the chances to set the team right.

Now we have a gauntlet of top sides. And unless we are gonna see one of the great turnarounds in our recent history, we are going down in those fixtures.

The players need to know one thing. Fight for this manager and play like the Chelsea of old, and we still have a shot. More of this same sh*t, and nice uncle Carlo is walking the plank. Whose fault is that? Personally, in the grand scheme of mistakes, I think Carlo's are much smaller than the owner and officials at our club. He's put up with shedding experience and squad size because that is the company line. He has put up with Ray Wilkins leaving over a personal squabble. And now, he will see his p45 because we cannot put away games in which we are statistically dominant.

THere is no urgency out there. We had 7 minutes added time and it was Everton that was all over us. IF these players really like this manager, they will start fighting for him, starting tomorrow in the press.

If not, he is gone, and this club is doomed to the same cycle we have seen since late 2007. Maybe Michael Emenalo will be our new manager, since he is a company guy and all, and we are so much better off with his amazing football expertise.

Did you even read what I wrote. He is here to do it over time, not now. He will need to integrate the players over a period of seasons, not matches. Do you really think dropping a load of youngsters nito our team at the moment would be a good thing?

Getting homesick for Italy is not unreasonable, expecially given the recent passing of his father. Maybe he feels guilty about not be around much during his father's last few months of life.

It didn't help but we were playing badly before that, very lucky v wolves & blackburn & the worst liverpool team I can remember beat us.

Not buying enough cover, after letting players go, was the biggest error.

P.S. writing that hasnt helped calm me down. I really want to f**king break something in anger. I just cant fathom that a gem manager is going to get sacked because of this utter bullsh*t that began over Ray Wilkins and some loud mouth cow associated with this club.

On the youngsters issue I think Sturridge should be getting more game time, ahead of Kalou. McEachran is probably being given about the right amount for someone of his age. Kakuta, in my opinion, is not ready to play much in the first team, I don't think he can cope with it yet.

HE WAS PLAYING THEM. Its only now when we are hopeless and need 3 points like a crackhead we are playing the experienced hands to get us goals and points.

This is all very true. Funny how people conveniently forget the Liverpool game in particular when they state that this "all started when Ray Wilkins left". There was also the little matter of Newcastle in the Carling Cup. Results and performances didn't start going downhill after his departure - they were already on a downward slide.

I agree it would be horrible to sack Carlo... Anyways I dont think that he is here to rebuild the squad...its more like making the most of what he has right now. Do you honestly think that if you try to rebuild the squad you sign 30years old Benayoun? Also we didnt sign any really promising youngersters in summer.. Ramires is quite young and has shown promise at Benfica and also for Brazil but he adds what we already have: physical strength and hard work.

Also our most promising players Sturridge,Josh,Kakuta and Bruma dont get a lot of playing time. Actually they barely get any.

I dont want to say Carlo is a bad coach...he has been very successful so far. Its just that I dont think that he really wants to rebuild the squad.

But we still won because Carlo gave a sh*t. I think Carlo is so pissed with Roman at the moment, he don`t give a damn about getting the sack and a big paycheck. Yes, and not buying good enough players in the summer of course. December is incredibly tough, and we lost crucial points in our by far easiest game this month. Not to much to be positive about.

So you think a manager like Carlo, who has been there, done it and bought the t-shirt would just stop bothering cos hes a bit pissed. He`s a professional, and if he wanted another job leaving your last one by acting like that is hardly going to get you a glowing reference.

Hmm, I hope not. I don't think we've the money to afford to buy him out. There's a real emphasis on the balance sheet and we can't afford to get rid of him and Demichelis as well who I'd suggest is also on a big contract.

To be honest today the crowd were as poor as anybody just dead the whole match, it was reflected on the park.

It's a collection of little things no doubt, but the turn around will come. Spurs away with Frank back will be a different kettle of fish all together.

Even Scolari made it until January, and that was without the injury crisis Ancelotti has had to deal with, and also without having won the double the season before.

Surely Roman will see why he hired Carlo in the first place, because of his huge amount of Champions League experience. Having advanced to the second round without as much as breaking a sweat, Roman might feel that our season is right on track. I'm sure he will realise that sacking Ancelotti will not help the situation at all.

THat IMO, would be not like him, because he comes off as a complete professional. But it would be entirely plausible. He is really in a no win situation right now. Stabalize this team, spend little money, blood 17 year olds in to replace 30 year olds, and do it all while we are gonna yank the carpet out from under your feet re; your playing staff.

All a year after winning the double.

JM got a 100% raise after winning the league and the carling cup in his first year. Why cant we reward success now, 5 years later?

Well, Mourinho found a few good jobs after his fallout with Roman. A manager like Ancelotti will always get jobs, and i predict him taking over Italys national side sooner rather than later.

The only hope is that we will raise our game knowing full well the next 3 teams will batter us if we play the way we have been.
